BANG

Ozai held the gun at the sky with a grin while he stared at Katara in her eyes. Azula kicked her back as she hit the ground with the other girls hand over her mouth so she couldn't scream.

That was the point.

For Zuko to believe he did it.

Katara looked at Zuko wide eyes as a few tears slipped down her face.

It worked. Zuko believed it.

His jaw was dropped as he looked like he couldn't breathe. Lost for his voice as he choked on air.

That's when a screamed ripped from his throat, everyone watched him shriek with his head bent down.

"Alright one down, shot to the head, I still haven't made up my mind if I want to watch you bleed out or just shoot you like your pretty girlfriend," Ozai sighed standing up as Katara was trembling under Azula as the girls were silent.

Zuko was shaking as he hiccuped a silent cry in the chair. He didn't say anything.

"Was that really all it takes for you to hit rock bottom? Again?" He frowned standing in front of his son.

"She was just a girlfriend Zuko, that's so pathetic, just an average stupid girl," Ozai rolled his eyes as he tapped the gun against zukos head.

"Did you really love her? Did she really love you? Your children you don't know what love is, You would've broken up and moved on," he raised a brow.

Nothing.

Please fight back, please don't give up Zuko... Katara whispered in her head. He didn't even flinch when Ozai held the barrel against his head.

"Azula," Ozai pulled back.

"Yes father?" She perked up finally getting her chance.

"Take care of it, be home by dark," he shrugged.

"W-what? You're leaving me with your mess?" Azula blinked standing up as Katara kicked her feet a little.

"You said it was your idea, you get to finish it," he nodded.

"Excuse me but-" "no buts, finish the job," he barked.

"You can't-you can't do that! I'm not Zuko! You can't treat me like Zuko!" She growled with her knife in her hands.

"Finish the job!" Ozai roared.

"We're suppose to be partners! I'm your successor!" Azula cried out.

"This will prove that or not, get it fucking done," he walked over and aggressively grabbed her arm.

Azula sneered in rage and walked over ripping zukos blindfold off as he looked still in shock. Katara yelled to get his attention making zukos head snapped to the side. Tears finally flowed down his face as he saw her laying in the grass. No blood at least. Alive. He couldn't stop the tears running down his cheeks seeing her.

"I always do your dirty work! We can't we do this together! I'm your daughter!" Azula cried out.

Ozai unlocked his car and got in.

"Finish the job and you get your own office, you'll be my right hand, I don't want this coming back," he said sternly turning on the car. With that Ozai left.

"Th-that mother fucker," azula whispered.

"How could he?!" She screamed.

"I told you he doesn't care about us," Zuko inhaled a shaky breath.

"Shut up, if it wasn't for you there wouldn't be an issue!" She stormed over to him.

"You kidnapped us?" He tilted his head to the side.

Azula backhanded him with a snarl.

"I said shut up!"

Zuko didn't react to the impact as Katara twisted to the side and rolled on her back trying to break the chair.

"Do you even want to kill us? Or were you just hiding behind dad? You've never killed anyone, this is a line you're going to cross and never go back on," Zuko kept talking to distract his sister.

"I've wanted you dead for the longest time, I'm not hesitating," Azula held the knife in her hand again pointing it at him.

"Do you? I'll help you azula, we can get out of this," he looked at her concerned.

"I don't need help," she shook.

"I can help you," Zuko urged.

"I don't need help!" Azula screamed and stabbed the knife into her brothers leg. Katara screamed helplessly as Zuko grunted clenching his fists tightly in pain.

Azula burst out laughing as she left the knife in his thigh as Zuko focused on breathing staring at the blade. She laughed hysterically backing up with confusion in her eyes.

"I-I could just leave you out here like that, I could be done," Azula cackled holding her stomach.

"But where would be the fun in that?" She ripped the knife from his thigh and slammed it into his fore arm to pin him in his chair. Zuko cried out choking on a painful scream.

"It's so much more fun when it's on someone you know! Much more when it's your Damn brother!" Azula laughed with tears in her eyes as zukos hands shook while blood stained his jeans and shirt.

He panted. He just needed to distract her a little longer, he can wait on bleeding out just to distract her.

"I could just slit your wrists and let you bleed out like dad said, make it look like suicide, if anything it looks like your girlfriend put up a good fight before you kill her," Azula laughed covering her mouth.

"It would be so easy, this is so easy," she giggled reaching in her hair and gripped it tightly as she smiled widely.

Katara rocked the chair harshly into the ground and broke the arm off finally. She gasped taking the gag off for it to hang around her neck and went to break the other arm of the chair. Azula looked at her wide eyes and went to grab the knife in her brothers arm but Katara tackled her immediately with a scream.

Azula screamed as Katara held her down with her knees on Azulas wrists as she laid on her back, feet kicking, Katara grabbed the gun and threw it to the side.

"Zuko can you get out? How much are you bleeding?" Katara wheezed as she struggled against the other girl.

"A lot," he called over.

Katara gasped when Azula threw her off and slammed her fist against the blue eye girls face to knock her down.

Zuko leaned forward and got on his feet before throwing himself back to shatter the chair and got to his feet to beat Azula to the gun. But she grabbed it and a gun shot when off when she aimed and shot.

The bullet went past his ear as Zuko moved to the side. Azula scrambled to her feet as she held the gun at the two. Zuko limped back keeping his hands up, Katara got to him and let Zuko hold onto her shoulder with his good arm.

"No no no no! This isn't suppose to happen! Why can't things just go my way!" Azula yelled as her hand trembled holding the gun at the couple.

"I did everything right! I called the cops, I got dads approval and I still lose! You just get in the fucking way! I hate it I hate You!" She started to cry as she forced a smile.

"That's okay, it's okay, no one has to lose Azula, just put the gun down," Zuko huffed as he stared at his sister.

"He fucked both of us up, you still have a chance like I did, we can change, dont-don't be like him, he's a monster, he killed mom, he's killed-" "don't talk about her!" Azula screamed.

"All I hear is how wonderful mother was but she was a damn weakling, she didn't love me because she knew I was going to be strong, she never loved me!" Tears dropped off her chin as Azula hiccuped a sob.

"She did love You," Zuko breathed.

"Oh like how dad loves you? I'm sick of that, You and mom are better off being six feet under ground, no one can hold me back," Azula rasped as she breathed quickly.

"Azula don't, this isn't going to change anything," Katara gulped reaching out to her.

"It'll change everything!"

"Your father will be the first person to throw you under the bus, let us help you," Katara smiled with empathy as she held her hand out for her.

Azula felt sweat run down the side of her face as she watched the couple, how Katara was shaking and looking Ill still but was holding herself together with Zuko holding onto her shoulder while he bled.

It wasn't fair.

"I'll finally be his equal, I'm just like him," a tear ran down her cheek as she smiled wickedly.

She held the gun up at Katara as Zuko gasped seeing her finger was on the trigger and was pulled a moment later.

The gun shot echoed the air.

Katara was shoved to the ground as Zuko covered on top of her, his forehead was pressed against her shoulder as he wheezed with his elbows propping himself up. Kataras ears were ringing as her body went cold when something wet and hot dripped on her.

Zuko panted as he held his chest in pain, blood seeping through his shirt as he pushed himself off Katara.

"Z-Zuko? Zuko!" Katara shrieked as he wobbled sitting up, she sat up and caught him from falling over, his face buried against her neck as she held him tightly.

"F-fuck, Azula called an ambulance!" Katara screamed.

Azula was backing away slowly as she watched her brothers blood stain the grass.

"This isn't a joke! Call 911! Now!" She barked in a enraged tone, not high pitch in fear, like a mother screaming at her child.

"God dammit god dammit, Zuko your going to be okay, you asshole you should've moved!" Katara sobbed as she could feel his breathing against her skin.

"Sor-sorry," Zuko held his chest tightly trying to stop the bleeding. He was losing so much blood.

"You're okay right?" He whispered.

"No! I'm not okay! I'm not okay how can you ask that?" She cried as her hand buried into his hair to make sure his head stayed still. She pressed her hand against the stab wound on his thigh to make sure it stopped bleeding.

"I-I-" Azula hiccuped a sob as she laughed, she threw them her phone as she had her hand over her eyes.

"Call them yourself! Call someone! Please he's going to die!" Katara yelled again as tears spilt.

"I-I could kill you too, let you both bleed out, i could, I could," Azula whispered but Zuko tried reaching for the phone. Katara gently placed him on the ground and immediately went to grab it before Azula did. She was losing it, they had to call the cops before she went back.

Katara ripped her hoodie off and tried to keep Zuko still as he wheezed for a breath. The bullet wound was away from his heart but it could still kill him, the stab wounds didn't help.

"911 what's Yo-" "I need an ambulance now! My name is Katara and my boyfriend is bleeding out from two stab wounds and a bullet wound, we're on a trail off of the freeway through south," Katara didn't waste a moment.

"He's dying! Hurry!" She yelled as she put the phone on speaker so she could listen.

"Fuck Zuko, why did you do that? Asshole?" Katara cried as Zuko stared at her with pain in his eyes.

"I'm so sorry," he rasped.

"Stop apologizing I hate that," Katara sobbed.

"When I thought you got killed first I really hope that's not what your feeling now, it's horrible," Zuko held her hand tightly.

"Your really warm, how's your fever?" He asked like he wasn't even bleeding out anymore.

"Shut up, just focus on staying awake and alive," Kataras jaw trembled.

"What would b-be proper last words? Not something stupid, that would be awful," Zuko grunted as he tried to distract himself.

"Oh my god I want to hit you for that," Katara laughed through her tears at his ridiculousness.

"Please don't," he wheezed.

Katara tried to smile but she couldn't help but cry at the thought of not having him tomorrow, she cried harder holding his hand tightly. Zuko didn't take his eyes off her, hearing sirens in the distance.

"S'not fair your so pretty, I love you," Zuko squeezed her hand.

"Tell me that tomorrow," she kissed his hand. She could see the lights down on the freeway, looking back Azula was gone, the gun was gone.

She just needed him tomorrow.
