"Hey, Renjunie." Jaemin calls the boy's name as he approaches his locker.

His friend was getting some things for his next class, humming once he hears his name being called from a familiar voice.

"I just wanted to ask what was that all about at lunch?" The blond haired boy gets straight to the point, glancing at his watch in his wrist to see there's still some time left before their next class starts.

God, give him strength as he has Trigonometry next.

(A/N: sorry, I don't really know these subjects/classes since where I live or study at, we only have 8 or 9 subjects.)

Renjun furrows his eyebrows yet doesn't look up at his friend, too focused on scanning a random page on his notes. "What was what?" He mumbles.

Jaemin shortly sighs, "when Alissa and Jeno were arguing, you were just sitting there, quietly may I add." He emphasizes as he brings up the scenario a few moments ago.

The older boy pauses when he was about to flip to another page, "so? What's your point?" He asks, not getting it.

"You're usually the one who stands up for all three of us, snapping at others and telling them to fuck off especially on our table." Jaemin states.

Sighing deeply, Renjun shuts his notes and grabs a book before shutting his locker closed. "They were arguing with each other, and I simply didn't want to jump in for no reason."

"Still, you would've done it and told them to leave..." Jaemin mumbles off, "you didn't even react much when Jeno arrived...."

"Normally you'd get annoyed and argue with him."

"Well, Alissa had beat me to it." Renjun briefly answers, "besides, they were already going off on each other until one of them gave up and left."

He then fakes a gasp, "oh no, it was your deary girlfriend." He quips.

"She's not my girlfriend." Jaemin rolls his eyes at his teasing words, will his friends ever let this go?

"Sure," Renjun snorts and adjusts the book under his arm. "Anyways, was that all you needed to ask me?" He quirks a brow up.

Pondering in thought, Jaemin hums with his lips pursed. "What did Jeno mean by his words?" He suddenly brings up as well.

He didn't get an immediate response, Renjun blinking at him before shrugging his shoulders. "How would I know?"

"You've been here the longest."

"Doesn't mean I know." The older boy rolls his eyes as he said that.

"Well, you sometimes know a lot of things."

"Dude, are you calling me a know-it-all?" Renjun leans back to make it more dramatic with his eyebrows knitted together.

"I'm just saying," Jaemin clicks his tongue and glances at his watch again. Ah shit.

"Shit, I need to go." He announces and quickly gives Renjun a side hug.

When he was a few steps away, he hears Renjun yelling at him. "I'M NOT SHIT, I'M RENJUN, DUMBASS." He could only snicker and continue running off.

"Bro," Haechan drapes an arm around Jaemin's shoulders, weighing on him and grinning mischievously when he earns a loud grunt from his friend.

Jaemin already knows where this is going, especially by the fact that he's holding a piece of yellow paper with big bold letters at the top as the title to make it obvious.

"What did you do this time?"

"I got in trouble," Jaemin mutters and turns his head to him, "because of you." Glaring harshly.

A few minutes ago this afternoon, Jaemin and Haechan shared a class together, unfortunately for the former.

And to add to that, their teacher was strict. Therefore, long story short, Haechan had gotten Jaemin in trouble for accusing him with his phone being unmuted.

"Sorry dude, didn't want to get interrogated again."

"Maybe not if you put your phone on mute or vibrate." Jaemin clicks his tongue.

"Look at the bright side, you can finish your homework in detention while at it. Renjun and I have after school activities anyway." The tanned male shrugs.

Jaemin just jabs him away with his elbow and walks off, leaving his friend groaning in pain as he clutches onto his stomach.

"Good luck, loser!" Haechan managed to yell at him as he slowly leans against the wall nearby to rest. "Bastard." Muttering silently.

"Ah, Lee Jeno. Fancy seeing you here." Jaemin looks up when he hears the teacher in charged speaking as the door opens.

To no surprise, Lee Jeno was in fact here.

Jaemin couldn't help but watch the brunet boy standing there while handing his detention slip to the teacher.

His eyes and hand are definitely tired from doing his homework... Yup.

The teacher barely reads the detention slip Jeno gave her, it's not like it's really interesting nowadays. The main point is that the student got detention.

Better than Haechan's experience, the teacher in charged at that time read their detention slips a little too loud since she was bored.

"Go sit over there." The teacher points to the spot right near Jaemin, "no talking unless it's necessary, and no gadgets." She strictly reminds them.

The blond haired boy silently huffs in annoyance. Why can't Jeno sit at the spot near the other two students with them in the room and far away from him?

He quickly lowers his head when Jeno glances at the pointed spot, nodding back at the teacher and walks over silently.

He sits down and places his bag on the floor, unzipping it to grab a book to probably read or cover himself using his phone.

A few minutes in, the teacher stands up from her seat whilst holding her phone, "please excuse me. I'll be at the principal's office for a moment."

When she opens the door, she glances at them with glaring eyes. "Remember the rules." A finger pointing at the four students before taking her leave.

When the teacher was gone, Jaemin looks at Jeno as his fingers were fiddling with his pen, pausing on writing his homework.

The brunet boy flips to another page, soon feeling a pair of eyes staring at him. His gaze switches from his book towards Jaemin on his left.

"What?" He asks in a monotone.

His reaction made Jaemin flustered and confused. He wasn't expecting that.

Usually, Lee Jeno would be talkative and flirty, no hesitation and his focus set on his target.

But right now, the boy was focused on his book and his face was flat. Before he turns to the older boy on his left with his eyes boring into Jaemin's soul.

Jesus.

"Nothing." Jaemin dismisses and clears his throat. Turning back to his unfinished homework as he hears a sigh escaping Jeno's lips.

One of the two other students with them stands up and walks over to Jeno's desk, "hey, Lee. Got a minute?" He asks, hands on the brunet boy's back.

Jeno blinks when he feels the hands caressing his shoulder blades, the way it was moving made it obvious on what the newcomer's intentions are.

He closes the book he was reading and stands up, kissing the corner of the boy's lips. "Here or somewhere else?" He tilts his head, fingers now trailing the boy's chest.

The boy swallows hard, "bathroom." He whispers back, earning an obedient nod from Jeno.

The brunet boy takes his hand with a smirk on his lips- the opposite of how he was acting a minute ago- he leads them to the door and glances at Jaemin and the other guy.

"If Ms. Kim comes back early, tell her we needed a bathroom break." He said before leaving.

Jaemin glances at the other guy sitting in the corner, on his phone. He only shrugs at the blond haired boy as he plugs in his airpods.

Jaemin blinks a few times and rubs his temples. This day was weird as hell.
