Rosa’s POV

I was sat in a booth in some sort of restaurant bar in a small town in the middle of nowhere. I had been travelling for a long while, but Mystic Falls (the town I am in) was supposedly very open to supernatural creatures, but I’m sure they had never experienced one like me.

“Welcome to the Mystic Grill,” the waitress smiled, “can I take your order?”

“Can I just have a salad and water please?” I smiled back.

“Of course, I’ll be right back with that,” she stated before leaving my table.

It wasn’t like I needed for or drink to keep me alive and happy, all I needed was blood. Just I didn’t want to be here and not order anything, so I went with something simple.

Knowing I’d be waiting for a little while, I pulled out my phone and began to play some sort of game seen as being a 500 year old hybrid prevented me from making friends so I had no one to try and contact with this blasted bit of technology.

The waitress brought over my order, as soon as I thanked her, a man slipped into the seat opposite me.

“Hi,” the dark haired man smiled.

“Um… Hello, how may I help you?” I asked raising an eyebrow.

“My brother over there doesn’t have the guts to speak to you so I came over instead,” He smiled pointed towards a brown haired guy.

“I’m sorry mate, but if your brother wants to talk to me, then he can come do so himself. You can tell him no,” I chuckled.

I picked up my water, taking a sip of it. As soon as the liquid touched my lips it burned and then burned my throat as I swallowed it. I began to cough due to the pain.

“Come on, you need to get out of here,” he said softly helping me from my seat and guiding me outside of the Grill.

As soon as we got outside I leant against the wall and tried to cough up the vervain, to stop the burning.

The brother of the man who sat with me handed me a bottle of water which I happily took. There was a chance that this could be laced with vervain too, but I chose to risk it and drunk the water. Luckily there was no vervain in it and it helped my throat.

As I got my voice back I hissed at the men, “Did you do that?”

“No, the town regularly puts vervain into the water supply,” one stated, “which kind of sucks for out kind.”

Our kind? So they were some type of immortal creature, either a vampire or a hybrid, most likely a vampire but I could never be sure.

“So are you vampires or are you hybrids?” I questioned.

“Vampires. Hybrids can’t be created until Klaus breaks the curse,” the other stated.

“Oh Niklaus,” I smiled remembering the hell I had probably put him through, “the spell worked then if he has to break the curse again.”

I didn’t know whether the spell the witch put on Niklaus worked in putting the curse back on him. I just kind of hoped for the best and never saw him again.

“Break the curse again? So he’s broke it before?” the one with lighter hair stated.

“Are you the only two trying to prevent him breaking the curse or is it more of you. If so get them together, I can’t be bother to explain it twice, and I got the curse put on him again so it shouldn’t be that hard to do it again,” I smiled.

“Okay you take her back to ours and I’ll get everyone else,” the light haired one said before leaving.

“I’m Damon by the way, and that was my younger brother Stefan,” he smiled as we began to walk.

“Rosa,” I smiled back, “so what was that you pulled in there?”

I kind of glared at him, but he wasn’t really looking at me so it was kind of pointless.

“Stef actually has a girlfriend, but we could tell something was up with you,” he shrugged.

“Fair enough, you know I can be of help for you lot. I’ve known Niklaus for a long while, I was very close to his family,” I smiled.

Soon enough we reached a house, which I presumed was his. After about ten minutes Stefan arrived with some other people.

“This is Bonnie, Elena, Jeremy, Alaric, Caroline and Tyler,” Stefan smiled pointing to each person as he said their names.

“Katherine?” I asked looking at the girl supposedly called Elena.

“No, I’m Elena. I just look like her as I’m her doppelganger,” She smiled.

I nodded. I had heard about doppelgangers a long while ago, but I never knew they were actually real. Although a lot of crazy stuff happened in this world.

“Okay, well I guess I shall tell you all I know, and a little about me. I’m Rosalina Montague, but you may call me Rosa. I was born and raised in England by a wealthy family. I met a young suitor Kol Mikaelson there. I became very close to his family, including one Niklaus his elder half-brother. I was a werewolf, the only one in my family who had triggered the curse. I was the only triggered werewolf in the town. Hence why when I went home one evening, I found my whole family slaughtered,” I stated trying not to let any emotion show on my face or in my voice.

“I was in tears due to the depart of my family, when I heard someone behind me and it was Niklaus. Of course I thought he’d just followed me to my house and was then going to comfort me but of course not- he was the murderer of my family. He fed me his blood before killing me. When I woke up he brought Katherine Pierce to let me feed from her. She was the Petrova doppelganger of the time. I did as he said and became his first successful hybrid. I then contacted a local witch who put the curse on him once again meaning he will now need Elena to perform the sacrifice,” I sighed.

Granted it wasn’t the best thing to say to Elena, seen as she wasn’t going to have a great life.

“How did Katherine survive?” Stefan asked.

“Elijah, Kol’s other brother was deeply in love with Katherine mainly for her looks, and to be honest she was a complete and utter cow. I guess looks do work for some people when they have the personality of a dirty dish rag. He acquired an elixir to resurrect her which he did but after I was turned she committed suicide with vampire blood in her system, so she’s a vampire,” I shrugged.

“So he’s going to perform the sacrifice again?” Elena asked.

“Yes he has to. He wants to build a hybrid army, he will kill and vampire, werewolf and the doppelganger but resurrect the doppelganger somehow as he needs your blood to feed the hybrids,” I stated.

“So I’m going to die and then be a human blood bag?” Elena questioned with a gloomy expression.

I couldn’t blame her for how sad she looked. I thought my life was terrible but I wouldn’t want to have to die and then have someone take my blood whenever they wish.

“Pretty much, so do we have any werewolves here? They’re rare and hard to come across,” I smiled.

“I am but I’ve only just triggered the curse so I haven’t had a full moon yet,” Tyler stated.

“It’s a full moon tonight. Niklaus will either kill you in the sacrifice or you’ll become a hybrid. Then you’ll be sired to Niklaus, meaning you’ll have to do everything he says even though you may not want to. And the only way to stop this, is to break all the bones in your body hundreds of times, believe me it’s not pleasant,” I chuckled, “do you want to help through your first full moon?” I asked.

“If you wouldn’t mind, you were a werewolf once. Most of these guys are vampires so I can easily kill them without meaning to, can a werewolf bite kill you?” He questioned.

“No I am immune. As a hybrid though you have werewolf venom ready at any moment, so if I bit a vampire now I can kill them unless they get the cure,” I shrugged.

“A cure?” Damon asked, “We didn’t think there was a cure.”

“Niklaus’ blood but it only works with him as a hybrid, otherwise stake yourself there isn’t anything else” I chuckled.

“So are you going to help us defeat Klaus?” Bonnie asked.

“Tomorrow, tonight I am stopping a werewolf kill vampires, come on kid,” I chuckled gesturing to Tyler to follow me.
