-Sky's POV-
The next morning began with the sound of wailing. Full, broken-hearted wailing. I stumbled into the living room, and I still couldn't find the source. I climbed the stairs to Mitch and Jerome's room, and the wailing was unbearably loud. I knocked, and the sound ceased. Jerome's tired voice called, "Come on in."
Inside, I found Jerome, and a small... bacca cub in his arms. "What-" "Mitch, Seto, and I found her in a burned clearing yesterday. No mother. No sign of any others. Just her." "Is she okay? She sounds terrible." "Heart broken, her family was killed in front of her. Just getting used to something new."
"Jerome, you seem familiar with this." "Maybe because I went through it myself, but instead of being found by others like me, I was found by Mitch and Josh." "Oh..."
I left him to tend to the cub. Heading downstairs, I found Rob at the doors, staring outside, almost fearfully. "Rob, what's wrong?" "I just got word that Vikk's parents were killed by a mob. Vikk is being taken home to help take over." "Are they taking Lachlan?" "I told them to for when they get here. They should."
"How's Vikk taking the news?" "He's surprisingly happy. Remember when he told them he'd be happy if they died? How they could die for all he cared? I think that resolved his issue with them." "Well, that sounds great for Vikk though. I mean, he's not upset."
"Yeah, but he has no idea what he's doing." "Neither did you. I'll help him as I helped you. Nothing difficult." "Fine. As long as he learns. I'd rather have Vikk than his parents anyway. Much calmer and personal." A few horseback men arrived, and I recognized the symbol on the saddle blankets now. The star was definitely the Barn kingdom.
"We are here for Vikram." "I see that. But you must take Lachlan if you take Vikk. He'll shut down otherwise." "Then we will take him as well." I turned into the door, and teleported to Vikk and Lachlan's room in the house. "Vikk, Lachlan. Time to go. The guards are at the castle to take you." "Okay."
They took my hands, and I teleported them back to Rob's castle to go. I realized they had an extra horse with them, and it had full tack. It wasn't a pack horse. It was Vikk's. Thank the lord Vikk can ride a horse. Although he can't control it very well, he knew and could perform basic commands.
I went with them just to make sure. In a moment, Sprite appeared- basic tack, nothing fancy. As Vikk and Lachlan got up on the horse, I jumped up on Sprite. Fox materialized next to me suddenly, and scared the hell outta me. The guards led the way, and Fox brought up the rear. Sprite galloped fluidly next to Vikk's horse. The ride was a breeze.
"What're you gonna call him Vikk?" I asked, seeing as his horse was a stallion. "Umm... I dunno." "Ash?" Lachlan suggested. "Ash sounds good. Fits him perfectly." "Vikk, that's definitely perfect. I mean really. He's a dapple thoroughbred. Best name ever."
(Image of the horse at the top of the chapter. IT WAS THERE FOR A REASON)
I left them feeling confident the first night would be just settling into the environment of the castle. I teleported with Sprite and Fox to the house, and crashed onto my bed inside. I woke up once again to screaming, but it was more panic than anything. I ran to the source, and found Ty and the Prince in an unfriendly brawl. Anthony was being cornered unhappily by the Princess, and Brice was just panicking. I settled Brice, and saved Anthony.
Ty pushed the Prince away with an angry shove, and the Prince growled at him. Ty was oblivious to the growl, and stormed into the woods, yelling curses at the Prince over his shoulder. Neither seemed to care.

-Ty's POV-
He just snuck up on me and tried to kill me. I didn't think that he'd even dare to try. He must not realize that I've actually grown to match his power. And that he's the little one now. Sky appeared from the doorway, stopped Brice, and somehow charmed the Princess away from Anthony. The Prince saw him and locked up momentarily, giving me leeway to shove him away. He tumbled over onto his heads and back to his feet.
I heard him growl at me, but I didn't give a damn. I tore through the woods, shouting at the Prince for no good reason except anger. I flew up into a tall dark oak, and sat within the leaves, staring at the noonday sun and letting the wind hit my face. I could hear Sky below me, so I shifted my weight and leapt down to meet him. Sky didn't flinch as I hit the ground in front of him, and instead just came over and randomly hugged me.
"Ummmm... Sky? What're you doing?" "What do you think I'm doing?" He pulled away. "Suffocating me?" "No! I'm trying to hug you!" "I got that, but why?!" "Because you seemed upset."
"Of course I am. But why hug me?" "Hugging is a certified stress reliever." "Okay then..." He grabbed my arm, and started to sprint home. I stumbled, and flew above him as he ran below, dodging trees as he went.
"Sky?" "What?!" "Did you somehow get the Prince and Princess to leave?" "No?" "Fine. I'll try myself. Unless Anthony did." I really didn't want to deal with the Prince and Princess.
We arrived home to find Anthony and the Prince rough housing, until I realized it wasn't play. I pulled them apart, pushed Anthony to the house, and body blocked the Prince angrily. He growled at me, but realized the size and ferocity difference, and backed off a little. But I never thought I'd say this, but the Princess came after me. Her scales had turned a nightmare black, and all her eyes turned blood red. She growled.
I turned to face the Princess, letting the now-docile Prince be. "Princess, you do not want to do this." A raspy girl's voice came to me as she growled again. "Oh, but I do. You may have led my brother into submitting, but I will give you no such luck." "Sister! He is too much for us to take. Let the Ender be." She heeded her brother's snarling voice, but continued to challenge me. She struck first, and I snapped her down with my wing. But not without consequence.
She bit into my wing and dragged her sharp teeth through the leathery part of my wing, tearing it to ribbons. I felt no pain as I took her middle head in my hand, and stopped the other two with my open hand. She gulped nervously, and drooped in my arms. Her dead weight hurt my arms, and I dropped her as she submitted heavily. She drew back, laying next to her brother, who'd watched.
I folded in my wings, and headed inside to check on Anthony. "Tyler! What happened?!" "The Princess attacked me. How are you doing?" "The Prince took a bit of flesh, but nothing major that won't heal." Then he noticed my torn wing. "Tyler." He said, dead serious. "What the hell did she do to you."
"She took her teeth to my wing and tore it. What more is there to tell?" "She tore it to ribbons, Tyler! It'll never heal!" "It will, but not properly. I just have to tear out the rest and it'll grow back in. Not a big deal. I'll just be grounded for a while." "How long is a while, Tyler?" "A year? Possibly a year and half. Not nearly as long as it did the first time."
He gave me an are-you-fucking-kidding-me-right-now look. "The first time? You've done this before?!" "Sure. I fell off my tower when we were little and landed on a spire. There was a huge hole in my wing. That healed." "Well, is that why you made a cave under your tower?" "Exactly. Because I couldn't get back up."
"Tyler..." "What?!" "Just don't get caught again." "Then you don't either. I normally get caught because of you. Anthony, you are a bad luck charm, I swear." He laughed. "Yup! And that's why I love you Tyler." "Sure." Sky came into the living room from the back hall, looking pale and upset. "What?"
"Mitch. Back room. Now." We ran after him. Once we got there, we found Mitch in the corner, farthest from the door, Jerome in Sky's room across the hall, and the scary part- Mitch's eyes were blood red, and slightly glowing.

-A/N-
It's kinda short, but it's enough to get something out for you guys. It's been too long. My brain is having issues with more personal concepts at the moment. Love you guys!
