Question--- How did Gidget meet Max?

Answer--- She moved into the neighborhood.

Evidence--- The other pets' reactions towards her.

Theory--- Gidget had moved in the apartment across the street from the others recently, probably at the beginning of the year or over the summer. Anyways, she moved into the neighborhood. When she sees Max, it's love at first sight. However, Max doesn't seem to pay her any attention until she beats up a bunch of animals on the Brooklyn Bridge. But it also seems that the other pets don't pay any attention to Gidget either. They only know she's there because she calls to Max everyday.
