Quite frankly, Adella Espinosa wasn't a morning person. It was worse as she woke up with a banging headache. She didn't know when she fell asleep or how long he was asleep for—she was pretty sure the fog had passed. And she was also pretty sure Finn was probably having a panic attack, not knowing where she was-questioning everyone in the camp.

But she sat in the bunker, wide awake, starting at the roof of the bunker, the only source of warmth was the blanket that laid on top of her, she didn't know how it got there but she was glad it was. She and Murphy had to get back to camp but he was still fast asleep, sat up in a chair.

She felt guilty that she slept on the bed and he had to sleep in a uncomfortable chair. She groaned as she sat up, wiping her eyes roughly.

She paused for a moment before getting up quietly and towards the ladders, not before grabbing her jacket and knife. She turned around, looking back at Murphy-who rested quietly in the chair. She breathed out, walking over towards the bed and grabbing the blanket she had, gently placing it on the sleeping Murphy, before walking towards the ladder and climbing up it.

She tried her best to quietly open the hatch, pulling herself up. She quickly closed her eyes as the sun hit them, making her hiss in pain. It was safe to say the fog was gone.

Her boots made contact with the ground—Adella looking around at her surroundings. She had no clue where she was or where the camp was. She narrowed her eyes as she turned around, talking in her environment.

But her eyes lit up as she came across a crystal blue river. As she took steps towards it, the smell of salt filled her nostrils, as the river came into a clearer view. Below, she heard the rush of water hit the jagged rocks at the base of the falls.

Crouching down, she dipped her hand in the chilly water, the waves colliding against her skin, sending shivers down her spine. She couldn't help the smile that reached her face.

Earth was amazing.

Mesmerised by the different shades of blue in the river and the gentle waves, crunching of leaves behind her made her jump up. But she soon rolled her eyes, turning back to the water as she realised it was just Murphy.

"Rise and shine sleeping beauty." Adella said in a sarcastic tone, her eyes staying on the waves.

"What are you trying to do? Move the water with your hand or something." Murphy commented as he leaned against a tree. He smirked upon noticing her glare she sent him. "Thanks for the blanket, really thoughtful of you. Didn't know you cared about me." He taunted her as she throw her head back in annoyance.

"Well, we wouldn't want you freezing to death now would we, John? Who else would I be able to throw my sarcastic remarks on?" She finally stood up, wiping her hands on her jacket. She cleared her throat, clearly annoyed by the boys presence. She spoke as she began to walk past him. "Come on, we need to get ba-"

She paused as Murphy had gently grabbed on to her arm, making her turn to him with a raised brow. "Hey I'm kidding. It's nice to know someone's looking out for me down here."

Adella didn't get to reply back as he pulled his other hand from behind his back, Adella's hat in his hands, and he placed it on her head. "Come on, let's get back." He spoke up as adella snapped out of her confused state. Why was he being friendly with her?

"Do you know which way camp is?" Adella asked, her eyes roaming through the trees.

"Yep." Murphy nodded as he lead the way back to camp.

It didn't take them ages to get back to camp. As they reached the entrance, the kids voices heard from miles away, Adella send Murphy a small nod before walking their separate ways.

It didn't take long until she saw Octavia run toward her, engulfing her in a hug. "Woah, hey there, Tavia." Adella chuckled when Octavia pulled out of the hug with a serious face.

"Where was you! I was worried sick Els! So was Fox and Finn!" Octavia spoke quickly as she held onto Adella's arm.

"I was knife throwing yesterday when that wierd fog thing happened. I found a bunker and yeah." Adella smiled at Octavia who sighed. "What have I missed? Is Jasper awake yet?"

Octavias face paled a bit, sadness taken over her face, the smile he held faded. "Uhm," she shakily breathed out. "Atom and Wells are dead."

Adellas eyes widened. She wasn't as close to the two boys, Aton being Bellamys lap dog and Wells, she quite liked him. "Oh my god." Adella instantly covered her her mouth with her hand. "I'm so sorry." Adella pulled Octavia back in to a hug, knowing her and Atom had a thing. Resting her chin on Octavia shoulder, she let Octavia cry on her shoulder.

She still had to learn how they died, she guessed that it was probably the fog. Octavia was first to pull away, wiping her eyes with the back of her hand. Adella felt sympathetic, grabbing a hold of the younger Blake's hands.

"How did they..." Adella paused for a moment, not wanting to upset her friend even more.

"Atom got caught in the fog. Bellamy had to..." she shook her head as adella instantly knew what Bellamy had to do. "And Wells was killed last night. He was murdered by a grounder."

Adella breathed out as she squeezed Octavia's hands. "You going to be okay, Tavia?" She asked softly.

"I'm gonna have to be." Octavia tried to smile, but it didn't reach her eyes. Adella was about to speak until someone yelled out her name.

"Adella!" The two girls turned to see Finn jogging towards them, a worried and mad expression on his face.

"Oh great, wish me look." Adella rolled her eyes as she tried to lighten up the mood. Octavia was thankful as she sent her a sad smile, walking towards the drop ship. Seconds later walking out with Jasper. Adella smiled, knowing that Jasper was okay as up on his feet.

"Ads." Jasper grinned as he pointed to the girl, who sent him a grin back. "Monty told me that you helped me, thank you." Jasper limped over towards her and pulled her into a hug, making Adella smile softly, hugging him gently. Adella loved to help and care for her friends, to be honest, she was always there when people needed her, and she would do anything for her friends.

"We're friends, and I look out for my friends, Jasp." Adella grinned as she ruffled his hair up, stepping on her tippy toes as he chuckled, Octavia smiling at their interaction as she held his arm, walking him towards the walls.

"Where the he'll have you been!" Finn hissed in a panicked voice, snapping her out of her daze. He clearly put his brotherly mode on as he looked down at her.

"I got caught in the fog and I found a bunker. I stayed there all night." Adella explained, missing out the part that she wasn't alone. "I'm fine, don't worry. Don't need to stress your ugly self about little ol' Adella."

"And you was alone?" He raised an eyebrow, his hands on his hips in a motherly manner, ignoring her sarcastic comment.

Before Adella could even answer-being interrupted once again- Clarke walked over to them, a angry look on her face. "We need to talk." She told the two, grabbing both their arms and towards a tent.

Bellamy, Octavia and a scared jasper were already in the tent. Adella frowned as she looked around. Clarke shortly explained that they found a knife and some of Wells remains, showing it wasn't a grounder who killed him, but one of the 100. She looked up at Jasper, walking towards him as she squeezed his hand, sending him a worried look.

"Who else knows about this?" Bellamy asked Octavia, crossing his arms over his chest.

"No one. We brought it straight here." Octavia told him as Clarke examined the knife.

"It means the Grounders didn't kill Wells. It was one of us." Clarke said as she looked up from the knife.

Adella looked up at Clarke, then to the knife in Clarke's hands and her heart dropped. Adella took it out of her hands and read the name on it. She cursed in her head as she gave it back to Clarke. No way Murphy killed Wells because he was with her all yesterday due to the fog. He must of left his knife in the tree when they were running from the fog.

"So, there's a murderer in the camp?" Jasper asked, looking up at everyone, which frightened Jasper, making Adella squeeze his hand once more.

"There's more than one murderer in this camp. This isn't news. We need to keep it quiet." Bellamy spoke as a frustrated Clarke walked towards the exit.

"Get out of my way, Bellamy." Clarke warned him as he stood in front of the exit of the tent

"Clarke, wait." Adella spoke but Bellamy cut her off, making her groan, throwing her head back angrily.

"Clarke, be smart about this. Look at what we've achieved... the wall, the patrols. Like it or not, thinking the Grounders killer Wells is good for us." Bellamy spoke as Adella tried to comprehend everything in her head. It wasn't Murphy, and if everyone let her speak, she could explain.

"Oh, good for you, you mean. What... keep people afraid and they'll work for you? Is that it?" Clarke snapped at him.

"Yeah. That's it. But it's good for all of us. Fear of the Grounders is building that wall. And besides, what are you gonna do... just walk out there and ask the killer to step forward? You don't even know whose knife that is." Bellamy shook his head.

"Oh, really? J.M. John Murphy. The people have a right to know." Clarke stormed out of the tent.

"For fucks sake, does nobody Listen?" Adella muttered as she followed Clarke out. Adella knew it wasn't Murphy. She was with him. Yeah, even if he wasn't with her yesterday, she knew he wouldn't kill wells. "Clarke!" Adella called out to Clarke, but was ignored as she walked towards Murphy. "Clarke wait!"

"You son of a bitch!" Clarke yelled at Murphy, shoving him back. Murphy was quick to turn to Clarke, frown on his face.

"What's your problem?" Murphy frowned as Adella bit her bottom lip.

"Recognize this?" Clarke pulled out his knife.

"It's my knife. Where'd you find it?" He went for it but Clarke pulled it away.

"Where you dropped it after you killed Wells." Clarke yelled at him.

"Where I what? The Grounders killed Wells, not me." Murphy scoffed.

"I know what you did, and you're gonna pay for it." Clarke told him.

"Clarke." Adella warned her. "It wasn't him." She tried to grab Clarkes shoulder, only for Finn to hold her back.

"Really? Bellamy, you really believe this crap?" Murphy pointed at Clarke. He then turned to Adella, who was pushing Finn's hands away. If the blonde would let her explain, she could cover for Murphy, explain that here wasn't here to kill Wells.

"You threatened to kill him. We all heard you. You hated Wells." Clarke pointed out, glaring at Murphy.

"Plenty of people hated Wells. His father was the Chancellor that locked us up." Murphy told her.

"Yeah, but you're the only one who got in a knife fight with him." Clarke added.

"Clarke." Adella warned the blonde again but was ignored. "Stop for a second and think!"

"Yeah, I didn't kill him then, either." Murphy spat back, looking towards adella then the Blonde. "Come on. This is ridiculous. I don't have to answer to you. I don't have to answer to anyone." Murphy shook his head.

"Come again?" Bellamy raised an eyebrow.

"Bellamy, look, I'm telling you, man. I didn't do this." Murphy turned to him. "Ask Espinosa." He pointed to the brunette.

Clearly none of them listened to what he had to say, but Finn, Jasper and Octavia did, both of them snapping their heads to her direction.

"What does he mean?" Finn whispered, holding onto her arm.

"He didn't kill Wells, he was stuck with me in that bunker." Adella replied, her eyes trained on Clarke, waiting for her next move. Finn's eyes widened, she could tell he believed her. Why would she lie? Finn knew she wasn't keen on Murphy.

"They found his fingers on the ground with your knife." Bellamy shook his head.

"Is this the kind of society that we want? You say there should be no rules. Does that mean that we can kill each other without... without punishment?" Clarke spoke up. Now wasn't the time to go into political mode.

"Clarke, wait!" This time Finn spoke up, but nobody listened. They were all driven on stringing up an innocent person. Clarke wasn't having no discussion about this. She was so driven to pin it on Murphy.

"I already told you. I didn't kill anyone." Murphy told her once again. Adella nervously fiddled with her hands, wanting to speak up and defend him. But nobody was listening to her.

"I say we float him." Someone yelled which made adellas head snap to the side.

"That's not what I'm saying." Clarke shook her head as Murphy looked slightly panicked.

"That's not going to happen." She shook her head, she was not letting a innocent person go down. "He's innocent, Clarke!"

"And how would you know? You don't even like Murphy, why are you defending a murderer?" Clarke asked, Adella was about to explain but Clarke turned around, blocking out the Brunette.

"Why not? He deserves to float. It's justice." Another kid spoke as adella glared at him.

"Revenge isn't justice." Clarke shook her head, her face full of regret.

"It's not justice if he didn't do shit!" Adella now stepped forward, glaring at the kid who suggested they kill Murphy. "Bellamy say something, they'll listen to you!" She spun around, turning to the older Blake.

"It's justice. Float him!" He yelled as the kids started to chant it. Murphy went to walk away but a kid kicked him, making him fall.

"That's it." Adella mumbled as she walked towards the kids but one of Bellamys boy's grabbed her arm, stopping her from intervening.

"Let go of him!" Clarke and Adella yelled as Murphy was on the floor, surrounded by kids. Clarke was also being held back.

They all tied him up and kicked him down a hill. Adella kicked the kid that was holding her back, making him fall over as she ran down the slope, almost falling.

They tied a rope around a tree and placed Murphy's head inside of it. Panic flooded Adella as she tried to think of multiple ways to get him out of the situation. They were going to hang him.

"Bellamy, stop this!" Adella pushed him as Clarke came to her side. "He didn't do anything!"

"You can stop this! They'll listen to you!" Clarke cried as people started to chant his name.

"Bellamy! You should do it." A kid suggested as adella looked up at Murphy them too Bellamy.

"He didn't do it, Bellamy." She told him. "Just listen to me!"

"How do you know?" Bellamy snapped at her as she clenched her fists.

"Because we was both stuck in a goddamn bunker yesterday because of the fucking fog." She glared up at him. Clarkes eyes widened as she realised she had pinned the murder of Wells on someone innocent.

"We'll why didn't you say anything before it got out of hand!" Bellamy yelled over the kids cheers.

"I tried! None of you would listen to me!" She yelled frustratingly, her hands squeezed into a fist in anger. "He didn't do shit!" She pointed up to Murphy.

"I saw you in the woods with Atom. I know you're not a killer." Clarke added. "Bellamy, don't do this. Don't..."

Bellamy walked over to Murphy and kicked the crate from under his legs. Adella went to break the rope but was held by a kid.

"Déjame ir. te mataré!" She yelled as she twisted the kids arm. "Bellamy you fucking-" she groaned in frustration. Even though he knew Murphy didn't kill anyone, he still tried to kill him. "I just told you he didn't do it!"

Finn walked towards him and one of the kids pulled a knife on him as Adella pulled Finn back, giving the kid a warning look. Finn held on to her arm, also trying to keep her out of harm.

"Stop! Okay? Murphy didn't kill Wells! I did!" Charlotte yelled as Adella turned to the kid.

"Oh god." Clarke mumbled, as she went to go get Bellamys axe but Adella bet her too it, breaking the rope as Murphy fell to the ground. She dropped the axe and went to his side, removing the rope from his neck and the gag in his mouth, helping him up. He leaned on her for support, his breaths uneven.

She turned to Bellamy. "I told you he didn't kill him." Adella glared at him. "But, nobody fucking listened to me." She bitterly responded.

"I fucking told you!" Adella spat as she directed her words to the Clarke and Bellamy. "You didn't listen to me!"

Adella paced In the tent beside Finn. "Why, Charlotte?" Bellamy asked her as Adella took of her cap, crossing her arms over her chest.

"I was just trying to slay my demons, like you told me." She told him as Adella shook her head.

"Slay her fucking demons." She scoffed, turning to Bellamy. "What did you tell this kid!" Adella pointed to Charlotte. "You just made a damn murderer, Bellamy!"

"What the hell is she talking about?" Clarke scoffed, agreeing with Adella.

"She misunderstood me. Charlotte, that is not what I meant." Bellamy shook his head.

"Please don't let them hurt me." Charlotte cried as Murphy continued to yell.

"If you guys have any bright ideas, speak up." Nobody replied to him. "Now you stay quiet." Bellamy shook his head as he looked at the three.

"Well, you had no problem kicking the barrel from underneath him even after I told you it wasn't him! If you both would of stopped for a second and let me explain, all of this could of been avoided!" Adella ranted, speaking with her hands, evident that she was frustrated.

"Those are your boys out there." Finn told Bellamy, sticking up for Adella, like he always did.

"This is not my fault. If she had listened to me, those idiots would still be building the wall." Bellamy spat right back at Finn.

"And if you'd listen to me at the start, those 'idiots' would still be building that wall! All do this could of been avoided! You kicked the box from underneath him! So yeah, half of this is ur fault!" adella hissed, a glare fixated on her face.

"Charlotte, hey, it's gonna be okay. Just stay with them." Bellamy told Charlotte as she cried. Bellamy walked out of the tent as Adella breathed out, turning to Clarke.

"This is your fault princess. If you didn't jump to conclusions and listened to me, this wouldn't of happened. You want a society, that isn't a society." Adella shook her head at Clarke, pointing outside.

Clarke's face paled at her words, instantly feeling guilty as she lowered her head. Adella didn't mean for her words to come out harsh, but she was frustrated. Nobody listened to her.

"Adella-" Finn held his hand out but adella shook her head. He knew how Adella could be. He had experienced it second hand when she found out he had a crush on raven, her best friend. Clarke looked down, guilt written across her face as Adella scoffed. She felt bad for taking it out on Clarke.

"No, I'm right, Finn. If she wasn't so hell bent on pinning things on people without solid proof, none of this would do happened. A knife, wow, anyone could of stolen it. That's something Jaha would have done." Adella walked out of the tent, fuming with anger, to see Murphy knock out Bellamy. "Oh fuck."

Adella stood outside of camp, everyone came back except from Murphy. Clarke revealed she exiled him for the death of Charlotte.

She jumped as she saw someone beside her, to only see Octavia. "You okay?" She asked as she laid a hand on adellas shoulder.

Adella hummed. "Yeah, how's Jasp and Mont?" Adella cared for the two boys, as if she had known them all her life.

"They're both okay. They were both asking about you." Octavia smiled at her friend and how she cared. "I thought you didn't like Murphy? You two always bickered, quite comedic if you asked me." Octavia asked innocently. She had to admit, it was funny to watch the two argue back and forth, because Adella would always win the arguments.

Adella chuckled. "I don't, he's a prick." She shook her head. "It wasn't his fault though," she turned to Octavia. "I just feel bad. Maybe if I was able to explain that it wasn't him, none of that would of happened."

"It's not your fault. They wouldn't listen to you. I know what that feels like." Octavia blew out a puff of air as she leaned back against the wall, sitting beside her, resting her head on her shoulder.

"Anything could happen to him out there, especially with the grounders." Adella added, cracking her knuckles as she stared up at the stars.

"Clarke was wrong for how she 'confronted' him." Octavia rolled her eyes which made adella chuckle. "And I can't tolerate Murphy."

"Yeah, try having to spend half a day with him in a bunker. If he didn't find that bottle of wine I would of stabbed myself." She sarcastically joked, making Octavia let out a little laugh. "But, I can't fault Clarke. She lost her best friend."

"How did you two even get stuck together in the woods?" Octavia asked, raising a brow as she turned to her friend.

"Well, I wanted to practise my knife throwing and he happened to be there, trying to throw his knife but failing miserably. Then the fog came so we ran." Adella explained. Adella looked down at Octavia for a Second. "I just hope he will be okay." Adella sighed as Octavia rested her hand on top of hers, giving it a squeeze. "For his sake." She quickly added.

"He will." Octavia reassured her.

"I'm sorry about Atom." Adella turned to her. "I know you liked him."

"I really did." Octavia bowed her head.

"Gotta keep strong, Tavia." Adella gave her a small smile.

She looked up to the sky. She wanted to see her trusty mechanic buddy right now. Or even her father. She was glad she had Octavia with her right now.

She hissed as she felt a pain in her wrists to see her wristband broke. She took it off and held her wrist. "What just happened?" Adella frowned, her heart dropping.
