"Come on! Just ask him out! What's the worst that could happen?" I say talking to Ruffnut alone for some girl time.

"He'll reject me!" She yelled.

"You'll never know unless you try" I said crossing my arms.

"Well I don't want to try" She said.

"Don't make me make you ask Snotlout out" I narrowed my eyebrows while glaring at her.

"And how are you going to do that?"

"I'll ask him for you"

"What?!" She asks but I'm already running trying to find Snotlout.

"SNOTLOUT" I yelled making random vikings look at me strangely.

"COME BACK HERE HOFFERSON" I heard Ruffnut yell behind me.

"NEVER" I yelled back.

I ran to the academy. That's my guess of where Snotlout was.

"SNOTLOUT!" I yelled.

He spoke up from across the academy, with Hookfang.

I ran to him and jumped on his back, staring at Ruffnut at the entrance.

"MAKE HER STOP" I pointed at her.

"HOFFERSON, GET YOUR BLONDE BUTT HERE NOW!" Gosh Ruffnut was full on rage mode approaching me.

I held on tighter to Snotlout.

"TAKE ONE MORE STEP I TELL HIM!" I threatened smirking.

"You wouldn't!" She hissed.

"Watch me" I smirked.

"Hey Snotlout Ruffnut wan--"

"LALALALALAALLALALALALALALALALALA SNOTLOUT YOU WANNA HAAAANG LALALA" Ruffnut interrupted.

"Gosh and you girls thought WE were annoying" Snotlout said.

"What's all the commotion?" Hiccup asked walking to us.

He stared at me strangely, still holding on to Snotlout's back for dear life, my legs around his hips.

"What is my girlfriend doing on your back?" Hiccup asks Snotlout.

"Better question, what is your girlfriend doing on my back?!" Snotlout replies.

"What ARE you doing on his back?" Hiccup asks me.

I pointed at Ruffnut who was glaring at me.

"O-kay, let's hang out for a bit, Astrid" Hiccup says pulling me away from Snotlout's back with my waist. He then kneeled in front of me with his back facing me.

"What?" I asked.

"I'll give you a piggy-back ride" He says.

"Okay" I said before jumping on his back.

Hiccup then carried me effortlessly and we began exiting the arena, leaving Snotlout and Ruffnut alone.

"RUFFNUT WANTS TO TAKE YOU OUT ON A DATE!" I yelled at Snotlout before disappearing.

"ASTRID!" I heard her yell.

I giggled uncontrollably.

"Stop it, babe. You're tickling my neck" He chuckles as I was leaning my forehead on his back. My giggles caused vibrations against Hiccup's back.

"I c-can't. Ru-Ruff on r-rage mode is h-h-hi-hilarious" I kept giggling.

"Astrid stop" He chuckles as I gripped onto his shoulders tightly.

"O-o-okay. Okay" I breathed.

"I'm stopping" I breathed.

Hiccup looked at me. I kissed his forehead.

"Come on my mighty steed! Lead me to a far away land where we have our happy ever after!" I said.

"But I'm your boyfriend, not your steed" He says putting me down.

"Or maybe both" I said punching his shoulder.

"Can you stop doing that?" He asks rubbing his shoulder.

"Oh hush it doesn't even hurt" I replied while walking. Hiccup caught up to me.

"How did I fall in love with you when you're so mean to me?" He asks chuckling.

"I don't know Haddock, only you can answer that question" I winked at him.

He smiled at me before placing his arm around my waist.

I watched Astrid as she disappeared from the arena, leaving me and Snotlout alone.

I slowly turned to Snotlout.

"So uhm... I better get going" I said pointing behind me and walking backwards.

"Was what Astrid just said true?" He asks.

"What? What did she say?" I ask pestering with my braids.

"About you wanting to go out with me?" He asks.

"Uh-well look at the uhm-time-I-"

"Just admit it" Snotlout says as he approaches me. I take a step back.

"Admit what?"

"You like me" He says getting closer.

"Uh"

"Don't worry, I like you too Ruff" he says before closing the gap between our bodies and pressing his firm lips against mine.

I widened my eyes and pushed him away.

"What? What did you do?"

"Kiss you?"

"Y-you kissed me" I said touching my lips.

"Yeaaaaaaah" he says slowly.

I looked at him. Ugh I can't take it anymore. I closed the gap between us again and then we felt the sparks as we kissed again.

That escalated quickly.

But

I am now very happy.

I was at Hiccup's room alone as Hiccup went to get some refreshments.

I gazed at the amazing drawings of Toothless Hiccup drew. I saw the drawings hung up. But one drawing caught my eye.

I saw it hung on his desk. It was pinned.

I looked to see the drawings was of..

Me.

I was just there smiling, it was a candid of me. Showing my teeth and my bright smile. It also looked like it was drawn years ago. I was looking at something sideways with the sun hitting me perfectly. I saw a little phrase on the bottom right corner of the drawing.

My Inspiration

I smiled widely as my cheeks turned red. How long has he had this for? Well maybe forever since I haven't been to Hiccup's room ever.

Hiccup suddenly burst in with two mugs of I assume, Yak Milk.

"What are you blushing there about?" He asks setting the mugs down on his bedside table.

"How long have you had this drawing of me?" I asked him, gesturing to the drawing of me.

He blushed red and widened his eyes

"Uhm oh my Thor, you're not supposed--oh no" He stuttered hurrying to his desk and covering it.

"Too late, I already seen it" I smirked.

He sighed.

"Fine, I drew you once. When I captured that perfect smile at that perfect moment. It was imprinted in my head and I can't help but turn it into something useful, so I made it my inspiration. Seeing you smile everyday" He says touching the drawing.

"I drew this when I first started training, and dragons weren't allowed at Berk" He added.

I smiled wide at him and hugged him tight.

"I'm so sorry for being so mean to you back then" I apologized.

He hugged me back, chuckling lightly.

"That's actually one of the things that I admire the most about you" He says.

I pulled away and kissed his cheek.

He pointed to his lips.

"Missed a spot" He winks and I laughed before connecting my lips with his once again.

I think I found my inspiration too, and he's been here with me for the longest time.
