It was the Christmas holiday and Ron was terribly missing Kimberly. He was barely recognizing his family member's voices around him.

Each and every word she spoke, he hung onto as if he was clinging onto a cliff without his wand to help for dear life.

She was beautiful and brilliant, and the fact that she was a year older than him, allowed him to boast about his new relationship with a newly found sense of pride.

He had been drowning in his own depressive thoughts and other people's criticism and crude jokes for the school year before the break, but she made it better - even if for only a split second - with her constant support and soft-spoken words.

Even when he lashed out at her because he was the type of person to do that when annoyed, she continued to support him because she saw the good in people. More so, she liked seeing the good in Ronald Weasley.

Since he was young, he always cared as to what others thought about him. He even went through a phase of blaming his family because he couldn't believe his own parents would want seven children, which had been the cause of their limited amount of money.

He was constantly teased about it, especially by Draco whom he hated so much. When Harry stood up for him the first day on Hogwarts, Ron felt appreciated. As time went on, he was known as the sidekick, and that had hurt.

But then there was Kimberly who saw him for him and didn't even bat an eyelash at Harry as most girls did.

"Fred, George, I'm sorry, dears, but Remus is arriving tonight, so Bill will have to squeeze
in with you two," said Molly.

"No problem," said George.

"Then, as Charlie isn't coming home, that just leaves Harry and Ron in the attic, and if Fleur shares with Ginny - "

"That'll make Ginny's Christmas," muttered Fred.

"Everyone should be comfortable. Well, they'll have a bed, anyway," said Molly, sounding slightly harassed.

"Percy definitely not showing his ugly face, then?" asked Fred.

Molly turned away before she answered. "No, he's busy, I expect, at the Ministry."

"Or he's the world's biggest prat, " said Fred, as Molly left the kitchen. "One of the two. Well, let's get going, then, George."

"What are you two up to?" asked Ron, snapping out of his trance. "Can't you help us with these sprouts? You could just use your wand and then we'll be free too!"
