Cómo hay que reaccionar cuando una persona te dice que pertenece a esta plataforma?

Se lo contaré con una anécdota que me pasó esta tarde:

Esta tarde fui a un cumpleaños de una de mis mejores amigas. Fuimos 6 en la fiesta, en el Burguer King.

En un momento en el que la cumpleañera (que es la fan de Riverdale) y mi amiga sister se fueron a buscar los postres, las cuatro que estábamos en la mesa empezamos a hablar de novios.

Esta fue la conversación: (pondré las iniciales de mis amigas para no poner sus nombres):

R: Me gustaría tener novio.

M: Yo tengo pareja.

Las otras tres a la vez: ¿¿QUEEEE??

Nos extrañó porque M no suele hablar de parejas, si se enamoró de alguien una vez y nos lo contó, pero tampoco se pasaba el día hablando de eso entonces nos extrañó porque nadie se la imaginaba con pareja.

M: Sí.

Yo: Ayyyyyy que bien!!! Y...¿Cómo se llama?

M calló. Ella no sabía que decir y ahí yo empecé a notar algo raro.

Yo: Que pasa?

M (hablando bajito y con inseguridad): Es...........una chica.

Todas nos miramos, calladas, sonriendo.

Las 3 a la vez (muy emocionadas): ohhhhh!!!!!! Que bonitoooooo!!!!

Aplaudimos las 3. La abrazamos. M sonríe.

Yo: Y...bueno, ¿cómo se llama?

M: se llama B. (Pongo B prk es la inicial del nombre de la chica)

R: Que bonito!!!

P: Y...que edad tiene?

Aquí paro para decir que M es un año mayor que las demás, ella ha repetido, por eso va a nuestro curso.

M: tiene vuestra edad.

Yo: Y...¿cómo la conociste?

M: a principio de curso, en amino. Tenemos el WhatsApp y hablamos por ahí. Siempre nos llamamos y hacemos videollamada a diario.

R: Pero donde vive?

M: Vive en C.D.L.P.

Yo: Y...la conoces en persona?

M: este verano, vendrá.

Las 3 a la vez (emocionadas otra vez): Ayyyyyyy que bieeeeeen!!! Que ganas de conocerla!!!

M vuelve a sonreír.

M: espero que la podáis conocer. Y gracias por reaccionar así. Me siento muy aliviada.

R: Como íbamos a reaccionar? Si es totalmente normal! A mí ya no me extraña!!

Yo: Ni a mí.

P: Ni a mí.

R: Y...como es? Es guapa?

M: tiene californianas naturales. Es muy guapa.

Nos enseña una foto:

Yo: pues sí, es muy mona la verdad.

Entonces vinieron E (mi amiga sister) y L (la cumpleañera), con los postres.

Entonces de coña:

R: Lulu (k soy yo, ese es mi apodo) le fue infiel a M con E!!!!

R y L se ponen a hablar de sus cosas, x eso L no sabe nada de la novia de M.

M y yo a la vez: kkkkkkk????

Yo: Eso es mentira, yo no puedo serle infiel!

E (dandome codazos): serle infiel a quieeeeen?

Yo: me refiero a que M no puede serle infiel.

E mira a M.

M: es verdad, no puedo serle infiel...

E: tienes...novio?

M: no.

E: te gusta alguien?

M: sí, pero no es eso.

E: tienes un crush?

M: Sí, pero, no es eso.

E: y entonces que tienes?

M: tengo una novia.

E mira a P y a mí, sonriendo.

E (emocionada): Ohhhhh!!!! Que bonitoooooo!!! Que bien!!!

M: se llama B. y tiene 15. Es de C.D.L.P y le está insistiendo a sus padres para venir este verano. Espero que la conozcáis.

Yo: No veas lo que nos alegramos por tí, de que la hayas encontrado. De verdad, estamos super felices y tenemos muchísimas ganas de conocerla.

M: muchas gracias de verdad. Me siento muy a gusto con vosotras. Os puedo contar todo y me apoyáis.

P: Eso hacen los amigos, no?

M: de verdad, gracias por aceptarlo. No todo el mundo habría reaccionado así.

Yo: Sí, lo sé. Hay...hay personas homófobas... Sí, pero nosotras no somos así, en este grupo, aceptamos a todo el mundo, sea como sea.

La única que no se ha enterado es L, la cumpleañera.

Pues estoy muy contenta de que mi amiga haya decidido contarnos eso. Me siento muy orgullosa de ella, estoy muy feliz de que se haya dado cuenta de su orientación sexual, de que haya encontrado a la persona que ama y encima que nos lo haya contado. No todo el mundo lo diría. Todas la seguiremos aceptando en el grupo y no va a dejar de ser nuestra amiga por nada del mundo. Estoy deseando conocer a B, si finalmente la conozco, tengo muchas ganas...

Creo que mi amiga es bisexual, porque antes estaba enamorada de un niño. Pero eso no importa, lo que importa es que esté con quién ella ama.

Pues, ale, esa es la lección. Ahora ya saben cómo reaccionar cuando alguien les diga que es gay, lesbiana, bisexual, transexual o queer.

We applaud the 3. We hug her. M smiles.

Me: And...well, what's her name?

M: her name is B. (I put B cause is the initial of the girl's name)

R: How nice!

P: And...how old is she?

Here I stop to say that M is a year older than the others, she has repeated, so she goes to our course.

M: is your age.

Me: And...how did you meet her?

M: at the beginning of the course, in amino. We have the WhatsApp and we talk around. We always call each other and make video calls daily.

R: But where does she lives?

M: She lives in C.D.L.P.

Me: And...do you know her in person?

M: this summer, she will come.

The other 3 at the same time (excited again): Ohhhhhh so gooood!!! We want to meet her!!!

M smiles again.

M: I hope you can meet her. And thanks for reacting like that. I feel so relieved.

R: How were we going to react? It is totally normal! It doesn't surprise me anymore!

Me: Neither me.

P: Neither me.

R: And...how is she? Is she pretty?

M: she has natural californian hair. She is very beautiful.

She shows us a photo:

Me: Yes, the truth is very pretty.

Then came E (my friend-sister) and L (the birthday girl), with desserts.

After, we where making jokes:

R: Lulu (it's me, that's my nickname) She was unfaithful to M with E!!!!

R and L talk about their stuff, so L doesn't know anything about M's girlfriend.

M and I at the same time: whaaaaaat????

Me: That's a lie, I can't be unfaithful!

E (elbowing me): be unfaithful to who?

Me: I mean that M can't be unfaithful.

E looks at M.

M: It's true, I can't be unfaithful...

E: Do you have...a boyfriend?

M: no.

E: do you like someone?

M: yes, but it's not that.

E: Do you have a crush?

M: Yes, but, it's not that.

E: and then what do you have?

M: I have a girlfriend.

E looks at P and me, smiling.

E (excited): Ohhhhh!!!! How nice! How good!!!

M: her name is B. and she's 15. She's from C.D.L.P and is insisting her parents so she could come this summer. I hope all of you know her.

Me: We're glad for you, that you found her. Really, we are super happy and we really want to meet her.

M: Thank you very much. I feel very comfortable with all of you. I can tell you everything and you support me.

P: That's what friends do, right?

M: Really, thanks for accepting it. Not everyone would have reacted like this.

Me: Yes, I know. There are...there are homophobic people...Yes, but we're not like that, in this group, we accept everyone, doesn't mind how is that person.

The only one who has not know is L, the birthday girl.

Well, I'm very happy that my friend decided to tell us that. I feel very proud of her, I am very happy that she has realized her sexual orientation, that she has found the person she loves and has told us about it. Not everyone would say it. We will all continue to accept her in the group and she will not stop being our friend for anything in the world. I'm looking forward to meeting B, if I finally know her, I really want to.

I think my friend is bisexual, because before she was in love with a boy. But that doesn't matter, what matters is that she's with who she loves.
