"Where in the hell did you get that thing!"

Percy gave his little brother a smirk. "I have my ways," he said, "now we need a plan of attack before anything." The three brothers put their heads together for one last diabolical plan.

Meanwhile outside the cemetery:

Annabeth paced the perimeter of the cemetery. This was really getting out of hand. First, she's dragged into this world by a nice hot guy. Then said hot guy turns out to be a mafia boss vampire. Then the big bad dad of said mafia boss vampire comes along to kill all his children and take back over New York City. Her life could not get weirder.

"Everything okay," asked Piper as she fell into step next to her, "Percy will be fine you know. I'm sure he has a plan." Annabeth sighed. "I just," she said, "I just don't know how to respond to everything that's happened so far. I was expecting my life when I came here for college with my dad and ex to be a normal average life. Now however I've been sucked into some kind of teenage vampire soap opera. It's kind of ridiculous and yet I have completely accepted my fate and I'm kinda worried about my own sanity."

Piper looked at her for a few seconds before she started laughing. "Oh my god," she said between snickers, "I never thought of it that way. If it makes you feel better that's better than Jason's reaction." Now Annabeth looked curious. "What was his reaction," she asked.

With a devious look on her face Piper told the story about how Jason fainted after peeing his pants when they were revealed to him. How he avoided talking about it to anyone and wouldn't look anyone in the eye. On top of that he asked all kinds of questions about stereotypes and walked on tiptoes around Percy and his brothers. It didn't help that they would mess with him any chance they got by eating blood in front of him and other such things to get a cringe out of the blonde.

The girls were still laughing as Jason walked over with Hazel to give a report on the caster of the barrier. "What," he asked causing them to look over at him and laugh even harder, "what's so funny?" Between laughter Annabeth managed to get out, "you peed yourself," before disolving into laughter again. Jason turned red with shame as he connected the dots before pouting and mumbling how any normal human would react that way.

Hazel giggled and waited for the girls to calm before saying, "the caster sealed the barrier with their own death. It really is unbeatable until the person it was cast for dies or they manage to wait out the next two days."

Annabeth glanced over at the graveyard. "Let's hope they last."

Inside the graveyard, the boys were putting their plan into action. Tyson was the distraction as we was the most durable. Klaus chased the big lug as Percy set a trap for the older vampire.

Once they had him trapped in the newly dug grave Nico snuck from the shadows to stab Klaus who, rather climatically, went up in flames with a scream of agony. They stumbled out as the barrier fell Tyson held up by the two of them. Their friends watched as for the first time in centuries the largest smile they had ever seen lite up Percy's face as he was embraced by Annabeth.

"Awwwwww," Piper and Hazel squealed. Leo snorted at the two fangirls before putting his arms around the two other vampires. "So I believe a celebration is in order. Tacos are on me. Follow uncle Leo to his world famous cookery!" The Latino ran inside the mansion's kitchen to begin the Mexican feast. Everyone followed leaving behind the young couple.

Annabeth looked up at Percy with worried grey eyes. "Are these near death experiences going to be a regular thing for you because I don't think my heart could take it," she admitted with a slight smile as Percy chuckled. "It comes with dating a vampire," he said as he began to lean closer to her, "maybe you could finally be the one to keep me out of these sticky situations."

"Well I'd have to be immortal for that," she said. "Not yet," he admitted, "I have time now to wait for you." He leaned in the rest of the way so they could share in a loving and passionate kiss as the sun rose behind them marking the end of one era and the beginning of a shining new one.
