They all stood near the quantum portal, carefully watching Clint who was standing by the machine, wearing the Avengers suit.

"All right, Clint. We're going in three - two - one."

The portal opened, sending Clint down into the quantum realm.

Pixie's heart was racing as she gripped Natasha's hand. She knew Natasha didn't mind because the assassin had been through more. She began to bite her fingernails on her other hand, causing Natasha to send her a stern look and pull her other hand away. She didn't want Pixie to bite her fingernails again. It was something she did whenever she was anxious or under stress.

A few seconds passed before Bruce pressed a button on the control center that brought Clint back to the present time. He screamed due to the sudden motion, knees buckling onto the platform while breathing heavily to catch his breath. Natasha ran forward, hand wretched away from Pixie as she placed her hands on Clint's face comfortingly. Everyone followed close behind, eyeing Clint.

"Hey, hey. Look at me," she comforted, helping him up. "You okay?"

"Yeah," Clint answered, showing her the baseball glove. "It worked."

He threw the glove to Tony, who smiled proudly.

Pixie smiled. "You did it, Tony."

"Of course I did. I'm Tony Stark."

She rolled her eyes. "Can't take a compliment without that ego of yours, huh?"

"Fairy-dust, you're only fueling it," he retorted.

"You know, I think - I think I'll take those chocolate cupcakes now," Clint announced, causing everyone to break out into grins.

"Food does bond people together," said Pixie. "All right, kids, food's in the kitchen!"

Pixie turned on her heel and walked away. Everyone trailed behind her, talking amongst themselves. Pixie smiled. She loved the energy at the mansion. Even if they were working on something dangerous and most of them had adrenaline pumping through them, that didn't mean they couldn't get hungry.

"You should have gone to culinary school," said Tony. "I still wonder why I paid for psychology student loans."

"If I knew I was such a good cook at the time, I'm sure I would have," she retorted. "We didn't have much money back then, so not enough good ingredients. Living in New York is pretty expensive."

"How's your aunt?" he asked.

"Good. Thanks for putting her in that fancy retirement home. You didn't have to. I'm sure it's expensive."

"Fairy-dust, I'm Tony Stark. Money is never an issue."

Pixie rolled her eyes. "So I've heard."
