"Fine." Chris grumbled. I backed up to give him a little air. He readjusted his studded leather jacket as I crossed my arms over my chest. Chris tried to mask his guilt with anger as he replied, "Kuza and I may have been involved with his old owner."

I wasn't sure what words were worse. "May have" as if he wouldn't fully admit to it, or the way he said "involved" like it was a business transaction or some shit! This is someone's fucking life we're talking about!

"What do you mean, you were involved with him?" I hissed through my gritted teeth.

What the fuck was Chris thinking? Was he seriously sick enough to get twisted up in that bullshit? People who keep sex slaves are sick fucks that can't get their dicks sucked any other way. Anyone that can abuse another human being like that doesn't have a damn soul. I was so pissed I couldn't see straight. It took all my will to not slam his head against the wall.

Chris closed the space between us to lower his voice even more. "He's got a lot of money; plays the stock market well, gambles in Vegas, invests, all of that shit. He likes to mess around with dirty cash from time to time and was interested in getting in business together. With the kind of money he's got, of course I'll take some risks."

"What kind of risks?" I growled.

He bit his tongue upon replying because Ricky's room door opened. Ricky cautiously walked out, staring at us both with timid eyes. I took a step back from Chris and rolled my shoulders. I'd get answers out of one of them, preferably Chris, sooner or later. For the time being, I'd like to get Ricky home safely. He looked broken enough.

The only clothes he had when he was attacked was his jeans, so I left him my hoodie. It was oversized on him and I found it so cute. I gestured for Ricky to follow me and we purposely left Chris behind. He scoffed to himself and headed out the backdoor of the hospital. I lead Ricky to the receptionist desk and he signed himself out. While he did, I text Ryan and asked him to come give us a ride back to the club.

"You're trusting me a lot for someone you can't even remember the name of." I commented.

"I'm starting to remember more." He said with a slight blush. "I can just tell I trust you."

I smiled to myself. He's never admitted that before. I'm glad to hear it, even if my mind was mostly consumed by negative thoughts towards Chris. It was almost three in the morning at this point, but Ryan was nice enough to still come drive us. He doesn't have anything better to do now that he's single. Ricky and I sat outside the front of the hospital as we waited on him.

"Can I ask you a question?" He very quietly spoke.

"Of course, Sweetheart." I responded.

"My memories are still really fuzzy, but the ones I do see of you... We're together. Like, not like friends. Cuddling, kissing... Other things. And you keep calling me pet names. Are we, uh, a, uh... thing?" Ricky asked, nervous as Hell to say what he did.

I was taken off guard by what he asked. Part of me was tempted to lie and tell him we were, so we could be a happy couple. That wouldn't work though. When all his memories come back to him, he'd realize we weren't ever together. That kind of shit only works out in the movies. I had no other choice than to be honest.

"No, not really. I just care about you a lot, but with our line of work, I can't see you wanting to be in a relationship with me." I responded. "I understand it's just the nature of the business, but you might not like seeing men all over me all of the time."

"I-I'm not sure about anything right now." He said with a shiver. I had already given him my jacket, so the best I could do was wrap my arm around him. "I think I would want to be with you, but I'm not going to make any decisions until I have my mind all together."

"I understand, Beautiful." I flashed a small grin to comfort him.

He rested his head on my chest, getting more comfortable in my embrace. "I can't even remember where I live." He whispered in awe.

I laughed a little at how cute he was. "With me."

Ricky glanced up at me, a smile playing at his lips. "Are you sure we're not a thing?"

I chuckled. "I'm sure." I said, planting a kiss on his temple.

"If you say so." He smirked.
