I was exploring a minecraft world when I suddenly died and I respawned in the middle of a lab. There was a trapdoor somewhere and I fell, so I died again, and I ended up in a cave. Although some areas had access to sunlight, it was extremely deep and getting out would be tedious. I crafted a bed and slept. I woke up at midnight and fought a creeper, aww man, which blew up my bed. I crafted another one and slept again. I woke up in the afternoon, but the caves were still dark regardless, so I got a bunch of torches. On my path down I found an end portal with a fossil of a dragon sitting on top, and I could break the cobble to get down if I wanted to. Next to that cave was a bunch of divers suits and a conduit, and next to that was a large basin of water.

I then found a lever on the wall of the diver suit cave and I was teleported back to that lab. I couldn't find a way out. I was on the first floor corridor when suddenly, the room next to me caught fire, so I pulled the alarm. Then I ran towards the other end of the hallway, and as I climbed down the stairs, I met a dude and just said the fire was that way. I continued down and ended up on ground floor, where our school cafeteria was, and reunited with my friends.

Moral of the story: Be sure to flick levers of which you don't know the purpose of to escape death, even if you've already died
