season one, episode eight
( looks like we made it )

"Who makes that coat, Daisy?" A reporter had asked. Audrey felt like she was back at that diner when they had first moved to L.A.

She was squished between Eddie and Warren. She leaned in her seat as Eddie had his arm on the top of the chair.

"I don't know," Daisy replied, flipping her hair. "And your shoes?"

"Why are you asking me about my clothes, man? I mean shouldn't you be asking us about the tour, or how any of my fellow band members are doing?" Daisy stated, her fingers pointing to each of the people seated beside her.

"I mean, why don't you ask Billy about that dumb-looking shirt he had on?" Daisy snapped leaning down into the microphone making Audrey laugh into hers.

The microphone was close to the edge of the table, almost enough to fall off, but close enough to hear every word Audrey speaks.

"'More fun to miss than to be with' Who's that about?" A reporter had asked to Billy, "Ah, come on, man. They're just songs."

The reporter looked from Billy to Daisy, "Is that true, Daisy?"

Daisy leaned back down onto the microphone again, "No song is ever just a song."

"You guys gonna ask us any questions?" Eddie asked lifting up the microphone to his mouth. "Yeah, maybe ask us about how we like to tour so far," Audrey added.

"What's going on with the two of you?" Another reporter had asked.

Audrey had clicked her tongue as Eddie looked at her. They had thought the question was for them.

The thought of Audrey having to rest her case about Eddie and explain why she wasn't talking to him would make a front cover story for the band.

"Who, Eddie and me?" Billy replied sarcastically, which made Eddie roll his eyes before Audrey chuckled.

"Do you still think Daisy is a headcase?" A female red-head journalist had asked from the back of the row.

Daisy smirked proudly at the girl as she soon tilted her head to Billy. "That's, uh, that's not what I said."

The girl chuckled, "It's right here, in quotations, Billy." She replied before she read it to him. "Anyone else for a question?" Billy tried to change the subject.

Another reporter had risen their hand, "Yes, sir." Audrey licked her lips as she moved her microphone farther back.

"Why aren't you playing 'Look at Us Now' on this tour?" He had asked to Billy who replied with, "Well, it's, uh, it's a great song but, uh... you know we're a different band now."

"We have lots of great songs, so we just need to make room for the new songs..." Billy was quickly cutten off by Daisy.

"That's not the reason." Daisy glared at Billy as more pictures were mostly taken by Katherine. Reporters had been clamoring around them to get Daisy's reason as Rod interrupted.

"Hot damn. Look at the time," Rod exclaimed out, looking at his watch. "Sorry, folks, that's gonna have to be it."

"Finally," Audrey muttered as she pushed the chair as far as she could before storming away outside with Katherine.

"That was amusing," Katherine muttered as she took the strap to her camera off her neck. Audrey nodded before scoffing, "If I had to be in there one more time with Eddie I would flip."

"You haven't broken up with him?" Katherine asked as Audrey shook her head. "No, Daisy said I should soon though. Thinking about it."

Katherine pursed her lips as they turned into a hall. From afar, they could hear Billy and Daisy arguing.

They had soon dropped their jaws to see Daisy slap the shit out of Billy.

Katherine shoved her hands on Audrey, "Go! Go! Before he sees us! Go!" Katherine stated as Audrey and she rushed the other way before Billy could see them.

Later that evening, all Audrey could laugh about was Daisy slapping Billy.

AUDREY: From afar Katherine nor I could hear their yells. All I could think about was finally getting bitch slapped.

The song soon came to an end, and like every performance, Daisy and Audrey had been singing the end of every final song.

DAISY: It was her thing to sing a song with me, Billy didn't mind. Since I smacked the shit out of him earlier that day.

Daisy was smiling as she walked back to the microphone stand thanking the crowd as she rushed off with Audrey after.

AUDREY: How do I word this... Daisy, was my, uh, stage best friend. I would sing with her on stage every time we performed 'The River' and in return, I'd do cocaine with her.

Every night after their performance the band would head to the 'I LOVE DAISY' bus as always.

"Wanna go do coke with me and Nicky at the back of the bus?" Daisy asked as she looked at Nicky as Audrey smiled.

"You know it," Audrey replied her hand intertwining Daisy's as Daisy's was in Nicky's as the three of them did coke all night.

Audrey had heard Camila was coming to town. Katherine, Daisy, and Karen had been by her side the whole party before Camila and Billy walked in.

Camila could be seen walking in with a bright smile on her face as Warren was the first to greet her. Karen had quickly apologized to Audrey for leaving her for a second to go greet Camila.

Daisy as leaned back into the sofa, watching every move Billy did with Nicky by her side. Daisy glared at him intensely as she took a long gulp of her drink.

Audrey did the same, this time half of a bottle. Her drinking addiction was getting worse, sure, it wasn't as bad as Billy's.

But it was getting worse than last week. She would be seen drinking before shows, after shows, during shows, and even while driving.

Eddie worried for her, he wanted to tell her something but he felt like it would only make things worse between them.

Audrey was soon lost in a train of thought as Camila wrapped her arms around Audrey on the sofa. "I've missed you, Dina!" Camila cheered as she pulled Audrey up.

She pursed her lips sending a smile as Camila had her arms on her waist.

Camila's eyebrows furrowed before she figured out what Audrey had been given.

"Oh, I'm so sorry, Dina. Please, it's never going to happen again." Camila begged as Audrey broke out. Audrey shushed her down dragging her away from Billy so he wouldn't find out.

"Why would do it Cami? I mean I was there for you when he was cheating on you. And this is the thanks I get?"

"He was there for me when I thought something was happening between Daisy and Billy."

"Literally. Who cares."

"I care." Camila replied, her hands going to her chest, "I care because he was there for me. It's not my fault that you didn't go to the party with him and that I and Eddie had sex."

"It is your fault, Camila! He's dating me! You're married for fuck sake!" Audrey roared the music was loud enough to cover their yells.

Camila clicked her tongue as she rolled her eyes before she walked away, "Hope you have a great time with the rest of the tour, Audrey."

"Hope you have a great time with Billy." Audrey turned her head to Daisy who was close enough to hear the conversation.

Daisy lifted a full glass of whiskey, before raising a brow to Audrey as she lifted the glass slightly.

Audrey strolled over to Daisy as she took the glass before drinking a bit of it. "Fuck." Audrey muttered as she took another drink.

"I'm going to go outside a bit, I need air," Audrey muttered to Daisy as she nodded before she rushed out to the door.

She opened the door quickly and quietly and stepped down the stairs slowly, facing the rail as she noticed a blond man from the corner of her eye.

She turned right holding onto the rail, as she took another drink. "Hey," Eddie spoke out, his footsteps getting closer to her.

"Hi." She muttered out, turning to him before leaning her side on the rail. "Hey." He murmured.

"So, can we, uh..." Eddie glanced down at Audrey as she looked up at him. She had a frown on her face before he spoke, "Could we talk about why your-your avoiding me?"

Audrey sighed as she took another drink from her glass. She wipes her face as Eddie watched her. "I just spoke to Camila."

Eddie's heart dropped. "I know what you two did, Eddie." She tilted her head as she cried.

"Then why ignore me when you knew?" Eddie replied, gripping his drink tightly. Audrey gulped. She glanced away from him placing an arm on her shoulder.

She shook her head, "Eddie. You said..." Her voice breaking, "You said you wouldn't do anything to hurt me."

He frowned at her. He was now standing straight, his eyes full of regret. A silence came from the two as music was muffled in the background.

"It was a mistake, Dina." Eddie professed, him grabbing her hand. She shook it away, "No. No, you don't get to call me that anymore." She wept as Eddie shook his head slowly.

Eddie cupped her cheek as she glanced up to him from previously looking at the ground.

"Please, forgive me, Audrey. I won't do it again. I'll do anything to make it up to you. You don't have to do this. Please,"

He begged and begged for her until she hit him with, "You made a promise you couldn't keep."

Eddie knew that verse. He began to snivel, the waterworks coming out of his eyes. "You broke it. You broke your promise."

"No."

Eddie shook his head nonstop. She pursed her lips as she twisted the promise ring on her finger, Eddie watched with wide eyes as she did.

She took his free hand as her drink rested on the inside of her elbow carefully not dropping it. She soon placed the ring in his hand, his tears dropping onto his palm.

"I love you, Eddie. This just isn't what I'd expect from you." Audrey walked closer to the door opened it and she stepped up the steps as Eddie watched as she closed the door.

Audrey leaned on Katherine's shoulder as Katherine's head was on Warren's shoulder.

They had now been listening to Nicky go on about something when she saw Eddie walk to the open space near her she glanced down at the floor her drink still in her hands.

She shifted in her seat, sitting straight but sinking down into the sofa.

She watched as Eddie sat down miserably beside her, keeping his distance from her.

EDDIE: Some people just don't know how lucky they are... I didn't know how lucky I was then.

She exhaled to him, as Eddie stared down into his drink before he chuckled along to the chuckles coming from the other people.

Audrey stood silent as she soon stood up and walked away to her suite.

AUDREY: I made Katherine ask Warren if he could sleep with Eddie that night so I can sleep with her.
