season one, episode nine
( feels like the first time )

Audrey had been asking Rod these past few days for a separate room, either down the hall from the band would be fine.

Rod didn't seem to listen, he had just made Eddie and Audrey suffer by sleeping in the same bed.

But in reality, Rod had been trying for the two to make up and just get back together. She had been getting dressed for rehearsal and the performances.

"You look nice," Eddie softly blurted out, she smiled at him through the mirror as she placed some earrings on her.

"You don't look too bad yourself." Audrey chuckled, "That red top looks good on you," Eddie mumbled as she tried to hide her smile.

"Have you been seeing anyone else since you know..." Eddie pondered.

"It's been a week, Eddie." She turned her body back to face him. "If I did, I would've slept at their apartment."

Eddie only nodded his head. "Sorry, just wondering."

"I'd be glad to see you happy again." Eddie smiled. "With someone way better than me."

"You know... I still think you're better than me." Audrey testified. "Well, then at least we both agree we're better for each other," Eddie replied making Audrey smile.

Her smile faded when she heard faint yelling from the outside. "What's going on out there?"

"Is that Katherine and Warren?" Eddie asked, furrowing his brows. "No," Audrey shook her head. "Warren doesn't sound like that."

"You left me in the fucking shower?" Daisy had yelled at Nicky. The two had exited the room to see Daisy storm back into the suite room.

She soon had exited the room as Nicky stared facing her, she had now had his bags full of his clothes in her hand. Luckily, she only threw his bags at him. "Pack your shit up and get out of here!"

Down the hall, Audrey made her way down to Rod's suite banging on the door, "Rod, come out!" She yelled as she room heard Rod run to the door following after Audrey.

"What the fuck happened last night?" She asked Rod as they walked closer and closer. He made tilted a finger making a line pretending to snort coke.

Daisy had overdosed.

She stood beside Katherine and Karen, as they watched Daisy throw a glass vase on the wall close to Nicky. "Daisy," Nicky mumbled to her.

She pored over Nicky, who was now breathing heavily. She soon shoved him as he tried to shove her as well. Daisy who was weaker yelped at this.

Thankfully, the three boys, Warren, Eddie, and Graham were by her side to defend Daisy.

Warren pointed a finger at the Irishman, "You heard the lady. You heard her."

Nicky shakes his head as he looked to Daisy, "You're making a huge fucking mistake." He pointed to Daisy as spit came out of his mouth.

Daisy's mouth hung open as she nodded slowly. Nicky soon picked up his bags before taking a final glance at Daisy before storming away. "You'll regret this."

Eddie placed a palm on Daisy's shoulder which she shrugged off. Audrey, Katherine, and Karen all made their way to Daisy as they pushed passed the three boys.

Daisy started to sob between the three girls as she rushed into their arms. Karen was stroking her hair, Audrey was holding her hand, and Katherine was whispering things to her telling her it would be okay.

Daisy continues to sob uncontrollably in their arms as she now cried over her ruined marriage.

The whole band wasn't allowed to sign autographs, sign shirts, or basically do anything with fans.

People tried to get Daisy's or Audrey's attention to sign their things. Audrey had gained more love from the fans with her singing.

Constantly, she would hear things about her and Daisy behind their backs from the fans.

They would call the two girls bitches, or whores which made Eddie fume and almost throw a few punches to the guys that would say it.

Eddie had almost punched a guy that called Audrey a bitch which made Audrey rush over to his side, "Stop, Eddie." She mumbled to him as Eddie just stared at the guy who just called his girlfriend, correction, ex-girlfriend a bitch.

"Leave it."

Eddie looked between Audrey and the guy before he stormed off with Audrey. He had his hand around her waist, making it seem like he still didn't want to let her go.

She broke free from his arm and snaked around her waist before going up and following behind Rod, leaving Eddie walking behind every other band member.

KAREN: Even in shambles Daisy was a powerhouse, but this was just... sad.

The song came to an end, as Audrey was giving the stage manager her guitar to trade him for the acoustics guitar.

"Thanks." She smiled to him as she removed the guitar straps from her other guitar and placed them on the acoustic one.

Daisy had let out a breather, taking in about what she was going to say to the crowd. She looked to Audrey who was ready at any moment for whatever Daisy was going to say.

"I almost died the other night," Daisy spoke down into the microphone, gripping the stand as hard as she could. Warren's smile had faded as did Audrey's.

The crowd had been shouting about things about the band like, they love Daisy, or they want Warren to sign their breasts, or they want Audrey to marry them.

"I was this close." She lifted two fingers making a pinch with it. Audrey bit on her lips, picking at the skin.

She watched as Daisy closed her eyes shut before, clicking her tongue and raising her arms.

"But I'm alive tonight!" Daisy exclaimed as the crowd cheered for her. She shows the crowd a smile as Audrey lifted one to her.

"And you're alive tonight!" Daisy added before looking to the band, "And they're alive tonight!" She pointed to the band who smiled.

"So, let's just stay alive a little bit longer."

Warren had brought to play the drums as they played 'Let Me Down Easy.'

The song soon came to an end as Audrey exited off the stage with Graham the two raising their hands as a motion to a goodbye to the crowd.

"We're heading to a bar later tonight," Graham replied as they walked with Karen. "You wanna come, Dina?" Karen asked tilting her head as she walked.

Audrey let out a snicker before she nodded, "Sure. Why not, I haven't gone to a bar since my first performance."

Graham laughed, he remembered the first day she performed with the band. It had been just her, Eddie, Warren, Graham of course, and Billy.

"I miss those days. And I miss playing in those rooms," Graham stated as Audrey nodded, "Well, it was kinda mean when they laughed at me the first time."

"Well, Dinnie, come on, you were the only girl in an all-boy band," Karen added. Audrey nodded, "You're right, but wasn't the best."

EDDIE: Spring '77. This was our moment.

GRAHAM: It's when you least want things to change that they always do.

Audrey, Eddie, Graham, Karen, Warren, and Katherine were all at a local bar watching a new band with an interesting way of music.

Karen had leaned on to Graham as Warren and Katherine came from the bar with a bunch of shots for the two.

Eddie and Audrey watched in wide eyes, as she turned to Graham and the others. "It's over!" Audrey explained as Eddie nodded.

"Why would anybody care about us when stuff like this exists?" Eddie asked as he leaned closer to the rest of his friends.

The two of them were frightened about the new type of music, "We're done, man!"

"We're dinosaurs!" Eddie shook Katherine's shoulders as she tried to not drop her drink. "You're fine Eddie! Stop worrying so much," Karen added as she grabbed onto the other few drinks.

"What is this shit?" Warren asked, shoving the cigarette out of his mouth. "The future," Eddie mumbled as he stormed closer to the crowd.

"Yeah?" Warren stammered as he watched Katherine be turned on by a man near the bar. "I'll be right back!" Warren added, trying to stop Katherine from having a one-night stand where instead she could have Warren forever.

"Warren and Katherine? Can you imagine?" Graham replied, "Warren would be good for her Graham,"

"I mean I thought I would never see it, but she's good for him!" Audrey shouted when the music kept playing. Karen took a swig of her beer watching Eddie step closer and closer into the crowd.

"I miss rooms being this size," Graham placed an arm around Karen as she nodded, "Yeah, I miss it."

"They were fun," Audrey added as the song came to an end.

Audrey watched as Eddie embarrassed himself with the main singer of the band. "Oh, God," Audrey muttered as she rushed over to Eddie and the other guy.

"My little sister listens to you all the time." The singer said to Eddie as he nodded.

"That's great! Do you know her favorite song?" Eddie asked, the guy shook his head, "I think it was... Regret You or... Let you down easy."

Audrey snorted at this, she laughed as she watched the guy get their songs wrong. "My sister really wants to be you one day." He pointed to Audrey as she nodded.

"You got a piece of paper?" She asked as the younger guy nodded taking out his lyric sheet. "Get this back to her," She pulled out a pen from her pocket.

She didn't know why she always kept a pen in her pocket but she knew it would come in handy.

She had signed the paper as he smiled, "Thanks. She's like it,"

"Nah, she'd love it," Audrey told to him as she grinned. "We're dinosaurs," Eddie muttered as the guy walked off.

Audrey agreed. "Punch Rock is become a thing." She muttered as she watched the guy walk off.
