season one, episode ten
( the rock n roll suicide )

INTERVIEWER: Here it states that you said something about telling Eddie about your pregnancy when he came back. What did you mean by that?

AUDREY BELMORE: You really want to know? (She shakes her head slowly and sighs) Okay... where should I start?

INTERVIEWER: Do you want to share your part of the story, Eddie? Audrey explained hers.

EDDIE ROUNDTREE: Sure, anything for her. I'll go to the beginning.

9:02 AM.        JANUARY 9TH, 1978.

Eddie was seated outside down the street from Audrey's house. He had heard from Graham that she had been living alone but had another person coming soon.

He had been wondering if it was Cameron, thinking the two had gotten back together. Oh, how was he wrong.

Flowers in his hand, going over about what he was going to say to her. He wanted to have Audrey be a part of the launch of his record company, Roundtree Recordings.

Sure he had thought long and hard about the name, but if Audrey was going to be a part of it, she would come up with a better name for the company and he loved it.

Audrey had been watching television, seeing many reruns of SNL, preferably Daisy Jones & The Six's performance.

The half of the whole world was left devastated that the band had broken up, and a lot of articles had been posted on the news, newspapers, and even billboards.

The band just fell apart after everything, it had gone great from the start like all bands do, but in the end, it all just fades away.

That's how it had been for Daisy Jones and The Six.

Flicking through channels as her coffee sat beside her, next to a wide-open window with the curtains drawn out showing a full inside view of her living room.

Eddie walked down the path, seeing her living room and as he walked he could see the television flicking through the channels.

As he stopped in his tracks, spotting a thrown-out box of a baby crib in her driveway he had shifted his eyes between each box.

From the baby crib and then to a car seat. He raised an eyebrow as he shook his head thinking nothing of it, and he walked up the porch stairs.

Audrey stood up and made her way to the kitchen, heading in there to make herself some breakfast and more coffee.

She pressed on the radio, flickering through channels, briefly stopping at the station dedicated to the members of the band, hearing most of their hit songs.

She had landed on a channel that had been playing a band called Queen, a song called, Bohemian Rhapsody. It was a few years since the album had come out, and the song coming close to an end.

Audrey moved her hips to the song as she opened the fridge, taking out ingredients for her morning breakfast.

Taking out a family-known recipe book given to her by her uncle, flipping vastly through the pages finding the section titled, Belmore Breakfasts.

Landing on the page she had wanted to make for breakfast, the song had come to a stop, the announcer speaking into the microphone making Audrey pause with whatever she was doing.

This is song was made by the former Daisy Jones and The Six, Rhythm Guitarist, Audrey Belmore, we recommend buying her vinyl to listen to her album, all day, every day.

This is All I Wanted by Belmores from the album: Mother.

She had begun to laugh and cheer loudly, mostly almost the whole house echoed with her cheers. She had turned up the volume, hearing the intro to the song.

She had been proud, not for herself, but for the musicians that helped with her songs for the Mother album.

Warren, on the drums, Graham on the guitar, Karen on keyboards, and Daisy to collaborate with her. She wanted to call them and tell them her hit song from the album was on the radio.

She knew they were all busy, Graham had just gotten engaged to his fiancée, and Warren dating Katherine for almost a year now.

Karen was on tour for her new album and Daisy had just been released from Rehab, starting her new life. She let out a sigh as the doorbell rang.

Making her way to the door, her stomach showing a little, she opened it to see a taller, familiar blond boy.

Eddie Roundtree.

He had a smile on his face, holding the flowers on his right side, his left hand in his pocket as Audrey used her cover-up to cover her belly.

Eddie gave a wave with his free hand as Audrey clanged onto the door holding herself for support as she leaned. She gave a soft smile as the two stood there in silence.

"Hey," Eddie breathed out, his face had turned paler than before, and nervously, he began to shift on his feet. Audrey raised her brows.

Letting out a sigh from her mouth, she brought a hand to the neck before replying, "Hey, Eddie."

He smiled before he had brought up the flowers to her. Giving a soft smile, she took them before she left the front door open, leaving Eddie standing alone outside on the porch.

She took an empty vase from the kitchen, the radio still on blast. Walking over to the sink, filling the vase up with water, she softly placed the flowers in the vase.

She walked over to a table in the dining room before she had set it down making it in the center before she had walked back to see Eddie.

Eddie's gaze turned back to her when she cleared her throat, the flowers being gone. "Do you wanna come in?" She pointed a thumb to the house.

"I could use the company," She sighed as she opened the door more wider, as Eddie didn't know what to do.

He knew if he said no, it'll be the end for him and Audrey. The fact that she never called over the last two months, he still knew deep down in her that she wanted him.

I mean for all Audrey knew, she wrote All I Wanted for him. In the end, she had always wanted him.

Eddie nodded before he walked inside the house as Audrey quietly shut the door, leaving the two in the room.

She brought a hand to her neck before she walked to the living room, Eddie still following her. She guided him to a seat across from hers.

Eddie held both of his hands to the side as he sat down, watching every move Audrey made.

He had exhaled as he took off his jacket, leaving it on his lap as Audrey sat down on a chair close to him, mainly the chair she had been sitting on ever since this morning.

"So I heard you have another person coming to live with you," Eddie broke the silence as Audrey brought her, surprisingly, still warm coffee to her lips.

She took a sip as she raised her brows and nodded as the cup left her lips. Swallowing the coffee, she had wiped her mouth before placing it back down on the table beside her.

"Yeah, yeah. Uhm, it's actually..." She looked outside the window, and a family of three walking by. She took a long pause as Eddie matched her as movements, looking out the window to see Audrey staring at the family.

Turning back to him, soothing her pants down as she shifted in her seat. She gulped before she placed her hands on her belly.

Eddie had seen what she'd been doing, he figured out the pieces. The baby crib, the car seat, basically everything he saw in the driveway.

"You're pregnant...?" He asked, his brows knitted together. She had begun to nod her head, Eddie leaning forward in his seat.

She had now locked her ankles together, leaning towards the back of her seat, arms on her lap with her hands clasped together.

His leg began shaking up and down, thinking of all the possibilities he could have if it was his. But he was also thinking at the same time if it wasn't his kid, he would just have to live with that.

Eddie didn't know how long she was. He tried to count the months in his head. He wasn't obviously good at math, and Audrey had to help him a lot throughout high school.

He soon used his fingers to count the months, starting in January and Eddie ending on October. He brought down his fingers as he looked from his hand to her.

Audrey had tilted her head as she was still leaning back in her chair. "You've been pregnant since October?"

She let out a sigh before shifting her position. "Yeah, basically..." She laughed quietly as she brought a hand to her ear, fidgeting with the bottom of it.

Bringing her head down, before looking back up at Eddie, "Since, uhm, Chicago." She stammered with her words, as Eddie's mouth dropped.

He soon stood up, walking to the Belmore girl before getting on his knees, grabbing one of her hands. "Is it mine?" He questioned.

She looked down to him, previously looking at the television that was playing a show at the time. Nodding slowly, she sobbed out, "I'm sorry, I never told you,"

Eddie shook his head, "Don't be sorry, we were broken up, it wasn't my business to know about it. I mean, fuck, why would you even want me to know?" He smiled.

She cut him off, "I did want you to know... Daisy stopped me." She murmured, his smile dropped, "What?"

She sniffed before wiping her eyes with her free hand. "Mhm." Eddie studied Audrey, the way her nose was now red, her eyes glossy, showing a crushed look.

Eddie nodded his head, "I mean, hey, you did it for a reason though? Right?" He asked, furrowing his brows.

She shrugged, not knowing what to say. She stood silent, as his eyes stared into her eyes. He soon broke the silence with a cautious gesture. "Why are you here, Eddie?"

"Audrey," He trailed off as he brought another hand to her other hand, pulling her up, him poring down at her. "I want to be back in your life, in our kid's life."

Audrey softly smiled. He inhaled before he continued on, "On my way here, I was kinda wishing you'd take me back."

She raised a brow, "You came all the way here from LA to Hazelwood? Just to win me back?" Eddie chuckled, "I know, it's crazy."

She shook her head as she let out a laugh, "It's not crazy! It's actually... cute. You're showing me you still love me."

He smirked, leaning closer to her. "Are you kidding? I've loved you since we were 14." She fixed her hair, tucking a large chunk behind her ear.

"I mean..." She smiled as her eyes were still watery. "Me too., you were the first person I'd look at when I entered every room."

"Me too," He replied, a soft grin plastering on his face. It wasn't like any other smile he had, it was a real true love smile. Sure, he had a lot of those, but this one was different for him.

She had soon snaked her arms around his neck, as his hands moved from her hands to her waist, softly pulling the two together. "Are you ready to become a dad?"

He quickly began to peck all over her face, making her laugh. "If it's with you? Definitely." She had begun to laugh as soon she brought her lips to his, the two giving a long kiss.

"I really love you, and I can't wait to meet him." He softly whispered between their lips. "Great. You also think she's gonna be a boy."

He shifted his head sideways as she playfully rolled her eyes, "Warren, also thought... she's gonna be a boy."

"Then he's absolutely right." He smirked before going back to peck at her lips, she scoffed. "Then you two are absolutely wrong!"

"We'll see." He joked before she backed up, "Wanna bet?" She placed her hands on her waist. Eddie had knew what he was getting into.

"What's in it for me?" He asked before biting at his lip. Audrey had chuckled, "If she is gonna be a boy, I'll marry you in the second we have him."

"And for you?" He asked, laughing. She half-shrugged, "Your pick."

He pursed his lips, "If he's a girl..." He trailed off looking to the ceiling thinking about what he was going to say, "You come back to LA, and move in with me." He stated as Audrey folded her arms, "Seriously?"

He brought his hands up in defense. She clicked her tongue before agreeing, "Fine."

He smiled before sweeping her up, and asking her, "So tell me about this... Mother album!"

Audrey grinned before Eddie rushed up the stairs to Audrey's room, as she began talking about each song and what they meant.

"Are all of them about me?" He asked, placing a hand on his chest. She softly pushed him, "Most of them. There are at least a few songs about you,"

Eddie's jaw dropped, the amount of songs she had on her album was insane. He knew they were almost about 25 songs on the album, the right amount was 15.

"I'm working on another one right now, I just don't know how to contact Teddy..." She sighed previously signing an album with Teddy, and Teddy promised her that her second album would be with him.

"I have an album company," Eddie had decided to bring it up. She smiled as she fixed her laying position to sitting cross-cross. Raising her chin she asked, "Oh, yeah? What's the company called?"

He cringed as he slapped his hand on his forehead, "Roundtree Recordings..." He softly spoke out as Audrey began to laugh, "That is... the most embarrassing name I've ever heard!"

He nodded as he laughed with her, "I thought I would ask you, to, uh, help me with the name... Roundtree Recordings was just a temporary name."

Audrey licked her lips as she stood up from the bed, pacing back and forth after. Her arms were now folded, thinking hard about the name.

A light soon came into her mind, finally thinking the name for his company. "What about," She sat back down on the bed, Eddie finally mirroring her sitting position. "we have it as something that has a true meaning to the both of us,"

He raised a brow, as Audrey scratched the top of her head. Tilting her head, Audrey had begun to stare deeply at Eddie.

"Like what, Dina?" He asked, her heart fluttered at the nickname.

AUDREY BELMORE: No one had called me that in forever. I missed it.

EDDIE ROUNDTREE: What can I say? I know every little thing about her.

She exhaled, scratching her nose. "Roundmore Records." She sighed as Eddie smiled, "So Roundmore Records is a me and you thing now?"

She nodded, "I could be the first singer to make an album with you," She raised her brows as Eddie began to chuckle, "Sounds like a plan. When should we start?"

EDDIE ROUNDTREE: That day, we stood up all night writing songs, even me getting on some of the tracks.

AUDREY BELMORE: Soon after, I asked him to sing and write songs with me.

EDDIE ROUNDTREE: Of course, I had to agree, I mean she's the love of my life and wife for Christ's sake.
