** Mia's POV **
I remembered to when Dustin kissed me.
"Umm Dustin I'm sorry but can I call you back?"
"Oh uh sure" he hung up.
"Why was Dustin calling?" James looked confused.
"I don't know..." I sat next to James. Wow. Dustin ruined the moment. I got in my pajamas and got under the covers. So did James. He put his arms around me and laid his chin in the top of my head. I closed my eyes. He was going to college. This was the last time I was going to see him for a while. Then I thought about Dustin. Why did he kiss me? He knows I'm with James. I needed to talk to him. But right now I needed to be with James. We cuddled all night. I woke up and he was beside me. I hugged him. He suddenly woke up.
"Wow I didn't have to stick my finger in your ear!"
"Yeah" he made me waffles and we ate them in silence. We both knew this was going to our last meal together. Until a few weeks or months. I felt butterflies in my stomach. We were both done eating. He stood at the porch and I looked into his eyes. We made out. I wasn't going to have that feeling for a while. We finally stopped.
"Goodbye James" I sadly spoke. My head was down. He lifted my head up.
"I will see you soon" he kissed my lips and ran to his house. I sat on the bench swing in my front yard and looked at the sky. I already missed him. Then again, Dustin called.
"Hey Dustin..."
"Umm Mia can I meet up with you at the diner?"
"Why?"
"I need to talk about something with you"
"Okay fine" I got dressed and drove over there. I saw him sitting alone in a booth. I sat across from him.
"So..."
"Mia I just want to say I'm sorry. I have know idea what happened the other day. I'm really sorry. I know you're with James and I don't want to mess that up. Can you forgive me?"
"Yes"
"Thank you so much"
"I just have one question"
"What?"
"Why did you um kiss me in the first place?"
"I don't know what was going on in my head" just when he said that I remembered the man with the piercings. I closed my eyes tight.
"Mia?"
"Sorry I was just, uh there was something in my eye"
"Okay" Dustin's face morphed into the man with the piercings. I scooted back into my seat. I knew it was Dustin but it was still scaring me.
"Umm Dustin I have to go right now"
"Why?"
"I just have to go!" I got up quickly and looked around. Everyone's face was the man with the piercings. I gasped.
"What is it Mia?"
"I need to go now!" I ran to my car and Dustin followed me.
"Mia?"
"Not now Dustin!" He stepped back. I got in my car and drove off. Everyone looked like the man with the piercings. I finally got back to my house and ran into my room. I thought the man with the piercings was gone. But I guess not. I heard a knock at my door. I was assuming it was James. I answered the door and screamed.
