Lyra's POV:
I woke up to Mother, awakening the ship once again. I put on some camo cargo pants with a black crop top. I opened the door and saw people walking around everywhere. Donovan walked by my room and said "walk with me." I nodded and we walked down to another room. Kace came out of it and he said "hello Don. And Lyra." I smiled at him and he nodded to me. As we reached the training room my mouth hung agape in awe. "Wow." I whispered to myself. I couldn't believe that I would get to train here. The guns were more high tech and the room was perfect. Tina came in and everyone got in a straight line with their hands behind their back. "Now, today we'll be doing shooting. That will determine what job you have when we go and investigate other planets, and kill Xenomorphs. For the next planetary mission, I will need a shooting crew, which will contain me, Commander Ramirez and two other shooters. This applies only to these following names. Blaze, Zander, Chase, Billy, and Lyra. I'll have the results by the end of today's session. If you're expecting to be on my team, don't. Because it will be people I don't normally choose. If I said your name and I usually pick you, it's because you're a backup in case the two I want aren't ready. The rest of you which includes, Teddy, Arlo, Kace, and Donovan. You will be split into teams. One led by Roxy and the other by Katarina. The two of you can choose now if you'd like. Everyone understand?" Tina finished her speech. "Yes Major." Everyone said. Katarina stepped forward and said "I'll take Kace." She looked to Roxy, who I hadn't spoken to or even heard from. She stepped forward. Her brown hair was at her shoulders and she cleared her throat. "Arlo." She said. Arlo nodded to her and Katarina said "I'll take Donovan and you can have Teddy?" Katarina looked to Roxy for permission. Roxy nodded and said "perfect." "Grab a gun and let's get started." Tina said. I walked over to an AK- 47 and smirked down at it. This was the gun I'd be using. It was my favorite after all.

Billy's POV:
After Tina's speech Zander grumbled under his breath. I walked over to the pistol table and picked one up. Lyra picked up an AK and she aimed it towards a target. I looked at how her cargo pants hugged her waist, her curves and hips showing. Her curly hair went to the dip of her back and someone snapped their fingers in my ear. I turned around and Blaze smirked. "What're you doing?" He asked me. "Why do you care?" I replied. I walked over to my spot. I aimed my pistol at the target and began shooting. I shot it point blank in the head. Lyra saw that the target had a dent in it from my bullet. Lyra aimed her AK at her target and she knocked hers down. A small gasp left her mouth and Arlo hooted. Tina noticed her target on the ground and walked over to it. Commander Ramirez did the same. They both stood over the target and began conversing between one another. Zander scoffed and shot his target. Ramirez walked over to his, leaving Tina standing over Lyra's target. "Major? Would you like me to go again?" Lyra asked her. Tina stood up and nodded. "You and Billy go again please." She said. Lyra walked to her next target which was farther away. I did the same. "Billy go first. With an automatic pistol please." Tina said. I nodded and set the gun in my hand down. The automatic pistol laid on the table. I picked it up and walked to my target. I aimed the pistol and fired. Blaze looked over and Tina said "Blaze shoot yours." Blaze aimed his shotgun towards it, blowing the lower body of the dummy alien target to pieces. "Sweet Jesus." Ramirez said. Blaze's eyes widened and he said "oh shit." Tina chewed on her bottom lip and said "Chase go. And then Lyra. Then Zander. And then can I see Blaze with a melee weapon? A bat. With nails in it." Walter and Calypso walked in and sat in the back of the room. Zander aimed his machine gun toward the dummy, and ended up missing. Ramirez clicked his tongue and said "out." Zander huffed and sat down. He was officially out to be on Tina's team. "Go Chase." Tina said. Chase nodded and aimed his gun toward his target. He hit the target but not from a good angle. "Out." Ramirez said. Chase nodded and leaned against the wall with his shoulders slumped. Lyra aimed her AK at her next target, it was farther away and she hit it in the head. Lyra stared at the target in shock. Tina nodded and said "Blaze." "Yeah." He said as he picked up the bat. He wielded it and walked up to the dummy.

He held it above his head and swung at the dummy's head, knocking it clean off. He bashed the bat against the dummy again, it's arm flying off. Tina said "ok stop." Blaze looked at her through his hair that had fallen in his face. "Lyra, Billy and Blaze please come here." The three of us stood in front of her. "You three. Have been chosen to be on my team." She said. Lyra chuckled in disbelief and Blaze ran a hand through his hair. "You said only two." Chase said. Tina stepped to him and said "I can change the rules if I want too. The three of them have proven that they're the best of the best. Our planetary mission is in two days. You will train on what I tell you to train. You're all dismissed." Everyone began piling out of the room and Calypso walked over to Lyra. "You got picked. Are you scared?" She asked her. Lyra shook her head and said "no. I've killed them before. And now I'll be with two very experienced soldiers." Blaze said "I can't believe she wants me to use a bat. But it's whatever. I can roll with it." "It'll be fine Forrester." I said. Lyra and Calypso began to walk away. Blaze stood next to me and he said "you do realize your staring?" "Yes. I'm aware dumbshit." I replied. Blaze winced and said "ouch." I rolled my eyes and eyed Lyra up and down. "You know, staring at her won't get you anywhere. You do know that right?" Blaze asked. I turned to him and said "yes stupid. I'm trying to figure her out." "Act like you don't care. That's what I do." Blaze said while shrugging his shoulders. "It's that simple huh?" Blaze nodded while shrugging. "Yeah. I think so." He replied.

Calypso looked over at Blaze who gave her a smirk. "Act like you don't care." He said as he leaned over to me. "Forrester you give really bad advice. You know that?" I said to him. Blaze laughed and said "oh I'm sorry. What did you expect?" I turned to him and said "I want to tame a fucking beauty like that." "Don't scare her Hargrove. Cause that's something you're good at. Scaring people." Blaze replied as he walked away. I rolled my eyes and Zander said "you're going to fail. There's no way you'll fucking be able to be on a leading team for a planetary mission." "Well guess what? I am. And this looks like you're unlucky day." I said. Zander scoffed and said "please. We both know I'm the better solider." "Then why are we head to head? Huh? How come you're not ahead of me? Cause I'm about to pass you. My accuracy is better. My kills are higher. You just have more experience. But I'm fucking better than you!" I yelled the last part. Lyra turned around and looked over. Katarina smirked and didn't say anything. "Knock it off." Teddy said. "Shut the hell up Randall." Zander replied. "Billy don't fight. You'll get kicked off the team." Blaze said with a fake frown on his face. Calypso looked between Zander and I. She leaned over to Lyra and said "this is how they start." "How what starts?" Lyra asked. "The fights." Calypso replied. The entire room was silent and Zander walked away. I smirked as he did so. Lyra and I made eye contact. A look of worry washed over her face. Everyone in the room began to walk away, not wanting to be involved with the fight. "Billy? Are you ok?" She asked me. "I'm fine." I replied quickly. Lyra nodded and didn't say anything. She began to walk away and I said "hey." She turned around and I chuckled. "What?" Lyra said. "How'd a girl like you get on a ship like this?" I asked. "I'm a warrior." Lyra replied. I smirked and Lyra winked while walking away.
