Lyra's POV:
I woke up on Billy's chest. Orion and mostly everyone else was awake. "We have to go the back way. It's the only way for us to escape." Orion said. "What're we escaping from?" I asked. "The Xeno's. They're all blocking the main exit. We'll have to use the river to get out." Orion said as he grabbed a rebreather. Billy shifted his body under me and Blaze said "are you sure it's safe?" Orion nodded and Gavin checked Billy's thigh, making sure it wasn't infected. "We gotta go." Chase said as he stared out the window. I woke up Billy and Orion began to lead us downstairs, to where a river came into the building. "Put the rebreathers on. We gotta swim through this tunnel. It leads right next to your ship." Sam nodded and we all do as we were told. Orion turned on a flashlight and jumped into the water. Sam followed, Chase going after his father. "Be careful." Billy said. I nodded and said "I will." He jumped in and I followed, Blaze behind me. The water was clear considering this was a pretty nasty planet. Even though we were underwater, you could hear things. There was a clattering sound, like things were being knocked over. I turned around and saw a Xenomorph heading straight for us. "Gavin!" I said.

Gavin turned around and saw that it was heading right for him. Sam swam back towards us and blew it up with a grenade launcher, a Xenomorph dodged it at the last second while the other was killed.

We still had a ways to go. I cocked my rifle and began shooting at the other two. The bullets moved slow in the water and they easily dodged them. Billy grabbed me and pulled me away from the aliens. Blaze said "we gotta go!" "You don't gotta tell me twice!" Gavin yelled as he swam in front of me. Sam stayed in the back, shooting as many as he could. But what we didn't know was, that they'd intercept us. "Help!" Chase said. "Shit." I said as I went to help him. I grabbed my knife and stabbed the alien in the head. Chase was pinned between the wall and the alien. "The surface is just up here! It's a straight shot!" Orion said as he began swimming up. I grabbed Chase and said "go!" I pushed him upwards and he said "Lyra, come on!" "Go!" He began to swim up and Gavin did the same. Blaze was next to me and I said "go. I got this." Billy swam up towards the surface, Sam hot on his trail. Blaze went up and as I went to go, an alien grabbed my ankle. I went to stab it with me knife and it knocked my rebreather off. I screamed under the water, bubbles floating to the top. Now I could barely see. Whooshing was heard in the water. I assumed it was bullets but I didn't have the rebreather. As I swam to the top, it felt like my lungs were about to burst. It was too far, I ended up inhaling water.

Blaze's POV:
I looked down and saw Lyra, lifeless. I swam back down and grabbed her, pulling her to the surface. As I made it to the top, I saw that everyone was running to the ship. The air was bad up here. Lyra was currently unconscious. Five minutes. If in five minutes, I didn't get air back into her lungs, she'd die. "Blaze! Move your ass!" Billy yelled. I held Lyra in my arms and began sprinting to the ship. Sam started it up and I laid Lyra onto the floor. As the door closed I ripped the rebreather off my face. Billy saw Lyra and said "what the hell did you do?!" He grabbed me by my shirt and I said "stop! If I don't help her she'll die! She needs air! Let me save her!" Billy panted and shoved me onto the ground. "If you don't save her, I'll kill you." Billy said. He was fuming. Chase held him back and said "it's ok. Chill." I leaned down and blew air into Lyra's lungs. I pumped her chest and nothing happened. I repeated my actions a second time, hoping that she'd be ok. As I blew air into her lungs a third time, Billy screamed at me. "Shut up!" I said. I began beating on Lyra's chest, not caring how hard it was. Chase stared at her body and Lyra sat up quickly, coughing up water. She gasped for air and I patted her back, getting any remaining water out of her lungs. Billy dropped to his knees and Chase ran a hand through his hair, panting.

"Oh my god." I said with a relieved breath. "T-thank you, Blaze." Lyra said with a raspy voice. I hugged her and she coughed as she slowly wrapped her arms around me. Billy crawled over and I pulled away from her. He shakily cupped her cheek. "What's wrong?" Lyra whispered. "You almost died." Billy replied. Lyra noticed how Billy was shaking. Her lips parted and she said "Billy." He hugged her, burying his face into her wet hair. I felt us go out of orbit from the planet. Orion panted and said "is she ok?" I nodded and leaned against the wall. Lyra pulled away from Billy and she said "Blaze, thank you." I shook my head and said "don't thank me. I told you. I'll always protect you." She kissed my cheek and I half smiled. Billy cleared his throat obnoxiously and she said "alright. Knock it off." Orion looked out the window and said "that's it?" "Yep. That's the Covenant." Gavin replied.

We landed in the docking bay and there was a screeching sound. "Shit. The big one is out there." Sam said. Lyra was still trying to recover. Billy brushed a piece of wet hair from her face. "I'll take care of it." I said as I grabbed my bat. "Don't go out there alone." Lyra said. Chase grabbed a flamethrower and said "I'll go. Come on." "Get to the med lab. Now." Gavin nodded and opened the door to the ship. I walked out with Chase behind me. Everyone else on the ship ran the other direction as I walked towards the large Xenomorph.

Chase aimed the flamethrower at the Xenomorph and fire shot out of it. The alien screeched in pain and I killed a few of the scouts. The less we had on the ship, the better chance we had at getting rid of them. "Blaze, look out!" Chase said. I turned around and an alien knocked me on the ground. My vision got blurry and my hearing was muffled. "Blaze! Get up!" I felt woozy and passed out.

I woke up on a slimy surface. Chase sat over me and he said "come on." "What happened?" I mumbled. "They knocked you out. Now come on. We gotta get to the med lab." Chase pulled me to my feet and I looked around. "Where's my bat?" Chase shrugged and I huffed. I saw it near a Facehugger sac. Fear filled my body. "How long have we been down here?" I asked. Chase shrugged again snd said "I don't know. Why?" I pointed to the Facehugger sac and I said "one of us has it inside us." Chase's lips parted and he stared at me in disbelief. "No."

I picked up the bat and saw a dead Facehugger. "Oh god." I muttered. I felt sick. I was terrified. Chase grabbed me and said "come on! We gotta go." We made it to the elevator and we were both silent. Once we got to the floor with the med lab, Chase spoke. "Are we gonna tell them?" He asked. I shook my head and said "no. We don't even know who has it inside them." "We might be able to save one of us. If we tell them." He replied. "You can't. They'd have to break your ribs just to get to it. And there's no time." I said. Chase didn't say anything. He walked away from me. I followed and we walked into the med lab. Lyra stood up and gave me a hug. "We thought you were gone." She whispered. Sam hugged Chase and Zander patted Chase's back. I clung to Lyra, afraid that this might be the last time I hug her.
