DESIREE O'NEAL wanted to work in the police force ever since her dad was murdered. At first the police said he died during a terrible accident, but it was later found out that he was murdered. Her dad had a coin business, he was a coin dealer. He sold gold and silver coins, not only that but he sold other items too like jewelry and safes. People who had something gold and silver they thought were worth money would come to him and if he found out with the equipment he had that it was real he would give them what he thought was a reasonable price. 

Desiree digged deeper into her dad's case, wanting to find out the real reason her dad was killed. She knew after visiting her dad at his shop that he got all different types of customers. Most were usually friendly and nice while others looked sketchy and were rude. After researching, Desiree found out that one customer, who was one of the ones that were sketchy looking and rude, planned on giving him something that was gold which he thought was real gold. It was, but the item he had wasn't worth as much as he wanted. One argument led to another and Desiree's dad ended up dead. 

She and her mom were devastated when he died, she was in her early twenties when it happened. But thankfully she still had her mom and her best friends were there to comfort her. Shawn and Gus helped cheered her up during this rough time and she appreciated it a lot. Desiree have known Shawn and Gus for basically her whole lives. She wouldn't know what she would do without them. Desiree is close with both Shawn and Gus, but it was clear she had a different friendship with both of them. She had a more sibling type friendship with Gus, whereas with Shawn she couldn't really explain it....At least not yet.

Shawn has this ability to notices things other seems to miss, but because of his ability he says that he's psychic. Desiree has that ability too, she always had been so observant. And thanks to Shawn, now he, Desiree, and Gus are working for the Santa Barbara police. During this journey of solving complicated cases, a lot of crazy and unexpected things happen. Desiree thinks the thing that surprised her the most during this journey was her falling in love with Shawn....Not knowing that meanwhile the whole time Shawn was falling in love with her.

psych is one of my favorite tv shows of all time, it's such a good show & it always makes me laugh & brings a smile to my face! its a crime that there are barely any shawn fics on here, but im changing that now. i already love shawn & desiree so much & i just know you guys will love them too <3 if you guys have a ship name idea for them pls lmk cause my mind is blank when thinking of a ship name for them
