Connor P.O.V.
       I arrived at Maddie's house at night the day after a little incident that wasn't an accident. (In case you're an idiot I killed her boyfriend.) It was the night of my death. I wish myself a happy death-day and walked up her house's stone stairs. These were stairs I imagined walking up in a suit and greeting Maddie while she had a lovely prom dress on. But, now I was holding a knife and I was covered in something that wasn't ketchup. I slid my hand into my pocket and pulled out the key she gave me for emergencies. I was dead and I'm back. I consider that an emergency so I entered the key into the door knob and pushed the door open slowly. The whole house looked the same. The single photo on the wall of her smiling for a school picture stood still. I walked around the house for a bit studying every single corner and every spot. Each room had a memory that had now been crushed. I tightened my grip on the knife's handle in anger and a touch of sadness. The knife was a great friend at that time. I walked to the stairs and proceeded to walk up. It was like a walked a mile when I got to the final step. I planted my foot and turned to see her door closed at the end of the hallway. My feet guided me to the door and I stared at the doorknob. I gripped it and opened the door to see her peacefully in her bed. I walked over to her bed and slid myself under her blanket. She fluttered her eyes open.

     "Devin? Is that you?" Maddie said sleepily, rubbing her eyes. Great, she even thinks about that idiot right before midnight in her bed.

     "Oh no Maddie, it's me. It's me Connor." I said chucking a little. Her eyebrows lifted with confusion.

     "What?" Maddie asked very confused. I got up and gripped her down onto her mattress. I then grabbed a scarf next to her bed and wrapped it around her mouth.

     "It's me Connor. It's been a long time. I would like to talk but, will you scream? If I untie this scarf and you scream I will snap your damn neck." I said angrily. She tensed and nodded.

     "By the way I know about you cheating on me with Devin. You were the cause for my death. You're a cheater. You broke my heart and didn't even bother to pick up the shattered pieces on the ground." My voice got angrier now.

     "I'm so sorry Connor. I love you. I'm sorry I've cheated on you, and I'm sorry that I'm still dating Devin now. I've missed you." Maddie said with a bit of guilt.

     "I'm not sure if you missed me but, you probably will miss him." I said laughing lowly. She looked at me in the eyes. She saw evil and I saw evil in her eyes too.

     "You killed him. I loved him. I loved Devin." Maddie said as tears rained from her eyes.

      "That's why I did it. I don't want you to love anybody else. I know you still have some love left for me, and I don't want your heart fully taken up by that idiot." I stared into her eyes as she tried to slow her tears but her heart was beating fast. She has such a lovely heart. It's full of such evil love. I wanted it for my own. I wanted it. I needed it. I needed that heart.

      "I hope you don't mind that I'm taking your heart, sweetie." I said before I jabbed my knife a few centimeters away from her heart. I didn't give her a moment to gasp before I cut her heart out and held it in my palms. It didn't beat but it had her dripping red blood on it and it would always be full of love.

     I love you Maddie. Your heart shall only be mine.
