Being Mrs. Scrubitt's daughter could be incredibly hard sometimes, some people absolutely hating me for her dealings. And other times, feeling pity. But I on the other hand didn't let it phase me. I simply went about my business as usual, and did my best to keep my head above water. I knew how bad things could get here at Scrubitt and Bleachers, especially for the poor people stuck here for an unpaid bill she'd conjure up.

"We have a new one. So don't screw this up dearie." I rolled my eyes in utter annoyance from her sickly sweet tone, just as the poor unfortunate soul entered with Bleacher, and my eyes about went out of their sockets from widening so much. He's too cute to be suckered into this madness.

"Mom? Don't you think this lovely young man would like a room free of charge? I mean he seems to need help...." But before i could say another word, mom swatted me on the back with a glare of her eyes and a spark of anger she usually has, hearing the mock sweet tone coming from my lips. She hated when I belittled her, using sarcasm against her was a forte of mine. But the man seemed humored from it, seeing as how I was really ticking her off. I wish I could tell him to tuck tail and run. But it would end badly for me if I did.

"I really do appreciate you bringing me here. You and your husband are being so kind to me." I nearly chocked on air from how incredibly funny that sounded, knowing mom would flip her gourd from the mere mention of him being her husband.

"Oh he's not her husband. Although I'm really glad you said that because it makes her disgusted." His eyes widened in embarrassment a little, but my smile made him smile none the less. Mom simply glared at me in pure rage at this point, seeing how it was boiling and boiling throughout her.

"Mr. Wonka is in need of help you see? He doesn't have any boarding." Mr. Bleacher sent mom the look he gives when they're about to con another innocent bystander just looking for lodging. And it really ticked me off. I'm usually never compelled to help someone, seeing as how my punishment is severe. But he seemed..... different. Unlike anyone that had ever swung through this crazy place.

"Is that so?" Moms evil little twinkle of her eye and massive grin of torture, made me want more than anything to hit them upside the head to see how it really felt, just as the torture they inflict is awful.

"I'm sorry I can't pay tonight. But don't fret! Because by this time tomorrow, it will all change. You see, I'm a bit of a magician, inventor, chocolate maker. And I plan on making my fortune." His eyes connected with mine once more after standing to his feet from warming himself by the fire, my curiosity clearly getting the better of me from the way he was eyeing me. He knew he had me reeled in.

"You don't say?" Mom could care less. She just wanted to sucker someone. But I was more than interested in this. Magic? Inventions? Chocolate? I have hardly ever tasted much chocolate, considering the Slugworth is the worst.

"Well I for one would love to see something! I haven't ever really seen magic." I beamed in curiosity from the endless possibilities of what he could most likely do, enticing me entirely into his story.

"I simply use my hat, pull anything out of it. Aaaaaand, there you go!" He materialized a tea pot, making me cover my smile behind my hand that was more than irritating my mom. He was literally charming me.

"I'm sorry. But you get what I mean! I can pull things from my hat with no problem!" He continued his show of materializing items from his hat that was funny more than anything, and obviously interesting. Considering how he was able to do that!

"I really like him mom. You should consider letting him stay for free again." I grinned, a mocking grin at her in pure pleasure at getting her back for all the things she makes me do, day in and day out. Even though I'm her own daughter, she didn't care. I was a mere slave. And I was tired of it. She looked as if she would explode at any given second.

"How about this? I can give you until tomorrow to come up with something. Okay?" But I knew this facade would quickly fade, and she would rack up a whole sheet of things he suddenly owed her by the time he would come back tomorrow.

"Thank you Mrs. Scrubitt. And thank you miss...?"
"Alana! Don't thank me though. Not yet at least." He eyed me in curiosity for a brief moment before my mom suddenly scurried me away towards Noodle who had been watching the entire time with curiosity of her own.

"Don't mind my daughter. She's a bit slow, that one." But I peeked out from behind the tiny doors mom used to grab things from behind the bar, my eyes landing right on Willy's, seeing as he was already looking at me while mom was pulling out her usual contracts, most like giving him a made up name with it that she does with everyone. I felt so powerless to say anything. But I knew I had to do something to help him. Otherwise he'll be stuck forever. I just didn't know how it would be possible. So i simply smiled at him, seeing his smile back at me as well, and something new seemed to float around in my head, something I knew nothing about. An emotion so powerful, so strong, I knew it could be deadly. One I was afraid to ever admit. And by the way he was looking at me, he was curious about me as well.
