Atticus is like a warm and gentle light that shines upon even the heaviest despair, always having a smiling face no matter what events come his way. He's very vocal about his heavenly beliefs, and in all speaks up for what he believes is right. He's altruistic, and just a gentle soul who longs for peace on earth- many can only wonder how long it'll take till he cracks the "goody two shoes" act.

𝘐𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘢𝘮𝘦... Atticus Loughty is a fellow classmate forced into this killing game, though instead of showing any fear, he shows his complete and utter faith in his god whom he calls, Dhylo, God Of Peace. He proves to be quite the uplifter, even after trials! Some even swear they see him praying for the blackened's sins to be forgiven during their executions. He died a few days after Mikan's trial by the hands of the ultimate fashion designer.. crucified to a poorly built cross. It was such a horrific sight for someone so passionate in their beliefs of a god.

𝘉𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘢𝘮𝘦... Atticus was like any other student in class 77-B, a beacon of hope and joy. He came from a family full of strong believers who moved to Japan for a few years as a "mission trip" of sorts. Yet good things never last forever, he ended up becoming an unfortunate victim to Junko's plans, and had become known as an ultimate despair along with his classmates.

✎ Atticus always keeps his bible with him, often reading a few scriptures aloud when everyone meets up in the dining hall. It's only ever a small verse to help uplift everyone's spirits after a trial.

✎ While he wasn't affected by the despair disease, the whole situation completely stressed him out. You could see his "constantly happy" persona get more and more forced, almost seeming as if he were questioning his own god on why hasn't anyone been healed yet... it's safe to say he confided in the wrong person about it.

✎ He often enjoys walking around the beachside, or just spending some time alone dipping bis feet into the water. It's where you can usually find him whenever he's stressed or upset.

✎ After Teruteru's execution, Atticus decided to take it upon himself to bake for the group. It's one of his side hobbies, and thought it'd be a good way to distract himself from the game when he wasn't in his room having bible study.

❝ I've never seen someone so.. hopeful before.. Nagito truly is a special case. But he tends to have hope for so many.. wrong reasons. One could even wonder if it's hope at all. ❞

❝ Why is everyone being so.. s-so cruel?! All we have to do is live together in peace and harmony! Forget all of these motives that bear full of sins prepared, if we work together and just.. maybe learn to love living here, we'll be okay! ❞
