Y/N's P.O.V

After the Sword Art Online incident I thought I would never go back to the virtual world... But I was wrong... I couldn't stay away from it and now here I am about to link in a new game called Alfheim Online. '... Link Start!', I thought and closed my eyes to drift of to the virtual world. Once logged in, I was given the choice to choose the race I came from and I chose the Imps.

After I chose I was teleported to the Imps hometown. But as a new player I didn't know what to do so I decided to ask one of the people close to me. I approached a girl with lustrous and gorgeous, long, purplish-black hair and asked, "... Uhm, hey... I was wondering if you could tell me all about this world.", She turned around and stared for a few minutes before exclaiming, "Sure!"

For the past week, Yuuki, her name which I have learned about, taught me all there is to know about ALO. She even insisted on me joining her guild. For that past week, a girl named Asuna also joined the Sleeping Knights. I've also started growing a liking towards Yuuki but I didn't show.

Today was the day we were supposed to raid the boss room but to our dismay we got defeated. Asuna even told us about the people scouting the place. We've decided to quickly go back but once again to our dismay, much of the raid party was already gathered in front of the boss room. Yuuki declared to fight against them to get our point across.

Eventually the raid party reinforcements arrived but we were lucky enough to get help from Asuna's friends. While they were taking the raid party reinforcements. We fought through the raid party that was blocking the boss room. Inside the boss room, we fought the Four-Armed Giant again, but this time I've noticed that the boss's weakness was the jewel in its chest.

"Yuuki! It's the jewel!", I shouted and got ready to lift her up. She ran towards me then used my back as a stepping stone. She thrusted her sword in the jewel causing it to break. With the mission concluded, Asuna suggested to have a party in her log house. We took a picture in the Monument of Swordsmen but I quickly logged out after that.

Weeks has passed and I got even closer with Yuuki and Asuna. I've started falling for Yuuki but she started pushing me away...

Another week passed and I've decided to stop playing ALO since my friendship Yuuki started deteriorating and I've started to get busy with school.

Months have passed and today I've received a message from Asuna that I should log in for at least once more time.

"Asuna... What's wrong?", I asked after meeting up with her in the game. "... Yuuki... She's... Dying...", She said. '... Huh?..', I thought and told her, "... W-what?!", I exclaimed as she started pulling me towards an island in ALO. There I saw Yuuki, she looked really pale and hurt.

She told me to wait and I did. She gave Asuna her original sword skill and was about to fall but I caught her just in time. "... Ah... Y/N... I-m sorry... I didn't tell y-you... I a-also pushed you away... I-I'm s-o sorry...", Yuuki cried as she placed her palm on my cheek. I held her hand then said, "... Thank you. Thank you for teaching me all about this world. T-thank you for... Letting me play a role in your life.", I started sobbing as more and more players came.

"Why... Why is there so many..." "Yuuki, you're the strongest swordsman in this world. So I can't let this be a lonely goodbye...", I answered and started sobbing even more. "I'm happy... I'm so happy." "'Why am I alive?' I wondered for so long... But... But... I've finally found the answer. Even if there's no reason, it's okay for me to be alive. Because my last moments are of such fulfillment."

"I can end my journey surrounded by many people, and in the arms of the person I love.", I stopped my tears from falling and as she slowly closed her eyes I whispered, 

"... You were... Really... Beautiful..."
