"i got it!" i yelled, sprinting towards the pop fly ball kendra hit to outfield.

she was hitting pop flys for us in outfield and normal and ground balls for the girls on the bases.

she hit another that came between zoe and i.

"i got this!" zoe yelled, running to it.

"no, zoe, let me!" i yelled running to it as well.

she got to it first and hopped up to catch it. she did and fell when she came down.

"shit! zoe are you ok?!" i ran to her.

she held her her glove up to show how she had still captured the ball.

"i got it!" she shouted.

i laughed and shook my head. "oh my god, how's your leg?"

"it hurts. i landed on it totally wrong." she winced.

i gave her my hand and helped her up.

"come on, go sit out." i told her, patting her shoulder.

"no, i'll be fine. don't worry."

"no, come on. you need to rest it."

she sighed.

"kendra!" i yelled towards the home plate where she stood.

i pointed to zoe and motioned that she was coming in.

she nodded as zoe walked in field.

"olivia! jenna! switch!" she yelled.

i ran up to third base and gave olivia a high five as i passed her.

i got into position as emmy walked over to me.

she smacked my ass with her glove and i laughed. i turned and shoved her back.

"get out of here, em."

"we got a lookie-loo." she whispered, tilting her head towards the fence.

i groaned and rolled my eyes. i quickly looked behind us at the fence.

i didn't look too long and didn't see the face because of my face mask.

i looked back at her and and sighed.

"whatever. it's either a creep or some baseball player dying to tell us he's better. happens all the time." i shrugged, looking back at kendra.

"yeah, but he doesn't look like either." emmy said, watching him.

kendra gave me a look and tilted her head to the guy on the fence.

i only shrugged and she jogged over.

"i'll talk to him. water break girls!" she shouted, walking over to the fence as the other girls jogged over to the dugout.

me and emmy turned around and took our face masks and gloves off.

i looked at the guy on the fence as kendra talked to him, most likely telling to get lost.

"oh my god." i muttered, running a hand down my face.

emmy punched my shoulder.

"oh, you know him?" she teased, smirking.

i looked at matt who was attached to the fence still. he looked at me and smiled. he winked as he waved.

i smiled a gave a small wave before turning around.

"oh! is that the guy you had to cancel your date with?" she laughed, as we walked into the dugout.

"who's the stalker?" brady asked.

"jenny's boyfriend!" emmy cheered as i elbowed her in the ribs.

"shut up! he is not!"

"not yet!" zoe laughed.

kendra walked into the dugout, grabbing her water bottle.

"he's here for you, jen."

"i know. i'm sorry, i didn't know he was coming."

"it's ok. he said he's not gonna be a bother." she shrugged.

"he won't. don't worry. he's not a creep." i told them.

after a while we got back on the field. kendra wanted me up at bat.

kendra switched our pitcher, lily, out with zoe since her leg was feeling a little better. she made lily go outfield.

zoe did a couple practice pitches to brady, who was out catcher, before i stepped up.

brady stood up and tapped the side of my helmet.

"hit the ball. impress your man." she smiled, getting back into position.

i laughed and got into my stance.

she threw it and i hit it. i dropped my bat and ran to first.

"you're up!" emma yelled, telling me i was good to run to second as i passed her and first base.

i started my run to second but as i got halfway there, kendra caught the ball.

she stepped forward, i watched as her foot came off the bag.

i took my chance and decided to slide.

but i got down to fast and to early. instead of really sliding under her, i rolled.

i rolled fast and over second base.

my helmet came off as i rolled all the way to the grass.

"shit! jenna! damn, are you ok?" kendra shouted, as she knelt down besides me.

i rolled over and into my side.

i spit out the little bit of dirt from my mouth.

"ow..." i groaned.

i tilted my head back to look at the fence.

i watched as matt jumped over the fence and sprinted over to me.

i let out a small laugh as he knelt down in front of me.

"are you ok? how bad do you hurt?" he asked, slightly worried.

"i guess you could say i rolled past second base." i winked with a small laugh.
