" i'm back, i got you those sunglasses that said you liked last week."

"noni?" she asked as she didn't hear any response.

"hey, rory." he said trying his best to keep his cool.

"hey, what's wrong? you seem upset."

"i'm fine, just a bit confused."

"confused about what?"

"first you tell me you forgive me and that we're fine but then you release songs that makes me feel like you're holding some kind of grudge and then you plan to go to your ex's party without even telling me." he said as his voice began to increase in volume.

"i was going to tell you."

"when?" he asked standing up from the bed so that they could be on the same eye level

"tomorrow morning." in all honesty, rory had no idea when she was going to tell noni about the party, she was even considering not telling him at all.

"yeah of course , you were." he scoffs as he can tell from her avoidance of eye contact that she was lying.

"just calm down."

"how can i calm down when all you do is treat me like a freaking robot, like i'm just supposed to go along with whatever you want."

"i'm sorry if i made you feel like you didn't have a choice, but i never meant for you to think i didn't care about how you felt."

"really?"

"i promise you."

"so you cared about how i felt when you released a song about how i'm immature and i'm a freaking chore."

"i wrote that ages ago."

"and you released it four months ago."

"before we got back together."

"do you really think, we would have gotten back together if i had listened to the album first?" he asked starting to show how angry he really was.

"what?" she answered as her voice cracked while tears began to fall down her face.

"i decided to give the album a listen yesterday and you really don't give a shit about my feelings."

"i do, i promise i do, i'm not the only one in charge of what we release." she said as her throat began to burn.

"but it's your writing, you could have said no, but you chose not to ."

"i'm sorry." she said as she tried to reach out and hold his hands

"you're always sorry." he said as he moved his to avoid her touch.

aurora had no answer to his statement because he was right, she could have told the girls she didn't want to release the songs about him, she could have fought but she chose not to. he was right. he was always right about her, that's one of the disadvantages of dating someone who knows you so well, they can read you like a fucking book.

"look, i just need some space to clear my head."

"i'm sorry, i promise you this time i'll be different."

he didn't even bother to answer her as he walked out of the room and slammed the front door shut, leaving rory to cry on her bedroom floor.
