𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐉𝐔𝐃𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐍𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐀'𝐒 𝐒𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐃 𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄, and jude hadn't slept at all the night before due to the amount of anticipation building within him. he wanted nothing unfortunately,spend the whole day with her but unfortunately he had training today.

jude was moping around the training ground, as he had gotten less than two hours of sleep last night, when he bumped into carmen and sabrina.

"oh,hey jude." carmen said as she looked up at him

"hey, what're you guys doing here?" jude asked

"i came to see my brother, and this one forced me to bring her." carmen said as sabrina rolled her eyes.

"i did not." 

"yes you did, you said you wanted to see vini!" carmen teased.

"shut up carmen!" sabrina said not wanting anyone to hear.

"you shut up." 

"you first." the girls continued to bicker until jude finally spoke up.

"guys please calm down. why'd you guys come to see the boys?" 

"aurelien called me and said he needed to talk; apparently, a lot's going on." carmed shrugged.

"and i just came for emotional support."

"what's wrong with aurelien?"

"it has to do with magnolia and his delusions." sabrina said as carmen rolled her eyes at her.

"oh."

"yeah, anyway, i'll see you later jude."

"yeah, see you guys!"

jude was confused, although he liked magnolia a lot, he never meant to hurt his friend. he never realised how much this would affect aurelien until now, and suddenly he was feeling very guilty about his plans for tonight. nevertheless he wasn't going to cancel his date with magnolia, not only did he really like her but he was a gentleman. he decided the only was to figure out what to do was to call the smartest person he knew.

"hey jude."

"hey mum, can you talk right now?"

"yeah, of course. what's wrong darling?"  denise said on the other end of the line.

"you know that girl i told you about last week?"

"your teammate's sister?"

"yes her. well, she used to date another one of my teammates, but they broke up a while ago, and i thought he'd moved on, but i don't know, i'm starting to feel a little guilty."

"just talk to him about it and see if he still likes her."

"and if he does?"

"then slow things down a little."

"what if i don't want to slow things down with her?"

"well then, i guess he just has to come to terms with it; it might take him a while, but trust me, if he's a real friend, he'll come around."

"alright, thanks for the chat, mum."

"anytime darling."

jude sighed as he put his phone back into his pocket. he knew he would have to speak to aurelien about magnolia eventually, but he never expected it to be so soon. the only reason the two hadn't fought yet was because rodrygo banned them from talking about his sister during training.

as she began to get ready for the day, she made sure to check her messages and was confused when she saw a message on instagram from someone whose name seemed awfully familiar, but she just couldn't put her finger on how she knew her.

"what's so important that you came all the way over here?" ale asked as the two sat on a bench.

"jude's ex texted me."

"apparently, he cheated on her last year and blamed it on the long distance." magnolia said as she gave alejandro her phone to read the chats.

"do you believe her?"

"why else would i be here?"

"well, if you want my advice, jude seems like a nice guy, and i don't think he'd ever cheat on you, but you can never really know if a guy's going to cheat."

"that's what i was thinking."

"just distance yourself a little bit; slow things down, i guess." 

"we have a date tonight."

"then cancel."

"i can't just cancel; i literally bought tickets."

"bought tickets for what?"

"a 50-cent concert."

"no way!" ale said in complete shock.

"you bought him tickets to a 50-cent concert; i've been begging you to take me to one for ages, and you just bought jude tickets; you've only known him for six months." ale said crossing his arms and frowning.

"ok whatever, but i have to use them; they cost me a lot of money."

"oh sorry about that, why exactly did she cancel?"

"apparently she's sick." jude shrugged.

"magnolia's sick?"

"atleast she said she was."

"hmn she seemed fine yesterday probably picked it up overnight." rodrygo shrugged not realizing the impact of his words.

"probably."

"don't worry there's always another day."

"actually there isn't because she's super busy."

"ok now i'm lost."

"me too."

"lia told me her schedule's super free and she even wanted to go on vacation to london or something."

"huh." jude said even more confused.

"maybe she means busy going on holiday?"

"nah she said lots of shoots, modelling and that."

"oh damn, sorry about that bro, i'll talk to her if you want?"

"nah its okay, she clearly isn't interested in me anymore, i just don't know what happened."

"me neither, she was really excited about your date, simone and i got an earful last night ." rodrygo laughed as he recalled how magnolia ranted about how excited she was to see him.

"hmn, i guess it just wasn't meant to happen." 

"guess so." rodrygo shrugged as he walked away leaving jude alone with his thoughts.
