Natasha stared silently at Emilia's back, her red hair shining from the sun reflecting of it as she sat near the small river. She twirled her fingers around in the water, small golden wisps circling around her fingers as a silent tear slid down her pale skin.

Natasha sighed quietly, walking over to her best friend and sat beside her. Emilia remained silent, not moving or reacting at all of Natasha's presence. The brunette stared ahead at the shimmering water.

"I can't do this." Emilia's timid voice spoke, breaking the comfortable silence. Natasha snapped her head towards her, her brows furrowed at the gingers vulnerable state. "Yes you can."

"No, I can't." She looked to Natasha, her chocolate eyes glossy from the unshed tears. "I can't handle being a witch. I could barley handle being bullied before I-" she cut herself off with a choked sob from completing the horrid sentence. Natasha looked at her in shock.

She didn't look at her with pity or sadness, she looked at her in remembrance. Like she's been there before, and she has.

"I can't handle being like this! The last thing I need is for people to look at me like I'm a freak!" She stood up, her hands moving with her words. "We all are." Natasha said.
Emilia at her in shock. "What?" Her cracked voice whispered in betrayal.

"We all are freaks." She stood up. "I mean, look at me!" She gestured to herself. "I'm not normal. Elise isn't normal, Faye isn't normal, Paul isn't normal, none of us are normal! But here we are, standing proud and owning our problems. Owning that when we look in the mirror, we will not see someone who is happy. Because life is tough, but so are you." Emilia's lips open slightly in shock at Natasha's words, hitting her like a train, but this is what she needing to hear, wanted to hear.

"We are strong and powerful, yet we are broken and damaged, but we will thrive and we will stand together and fight for what and who we are. We will not fight for anybody, we will fight for ourselves and what we believe in. And that is what unites us, we are a family and you are apart of it, and family doesn't abandon each other." Her choked back a cry and swallowed. Her hazel eyes now brimming with tears, but they do not shed.

"Can you teach me?" Emilia's broken voice spoke after moments of silence. "Hell yes! I didn't say an entire speech for nothing!" She tried lifting the mood, and it worked. Emilia let out a small laugh before she sniffled. Natasha opened her arms wide, letting Emilia go into her arms, nuzzling her face into her shoulder as Natasha rubbed her softly back in soothing circles.

"Now, give me your hand." The brunette pulled away from the warm and gentle hug first and held out her hand, a kind and gentle expression on her beautiful face. The meek ginger looked at it hesitantly before she slowly put her pale hand in Natasha's fair one. Natasha intertwined their hands together.

"Now, close your eyes and focus on letting your powers come out." Emilia slowly closed her eyes. Small golden wisps starting circling their hands, and bright green wisps starting circling around their hands, the beautiful colors mixing with each other to create a color with a beautiful green with golden lines and specks coating it. The colors completed each other.

The colors burst up from their hands, all around them was golden and green rain drops floating through the air. The sun was setting, creating a beautiful reflection from the river and the colorful rain drops. Emilia opened her brown eyes to see Natasha proudly smiling. She looked around in shock and awe, her hands leaving Natasha's and slowly walking in a circle, admiring the stunning scene before them.

She lifted her hands to see golden mist dancing between fingers and around her hands. She put them out before her, the mist leaving her fingers to wrap itself around the unbloomed flowers. The mist left the plants, leaving beautiful flowers to open, and it did the same for all of them. All the flowers bloomed around them in magnificent colors that they would only see in spring.

She turned towards her best friend to see a proud grin on her plump lips, her fair skin crinkling on the sides of her eyes due to her smile. "Our powers are linked together. When witches are deadly close to one another, we can feel each other's power, pain, happiness, love." She explained.

"So..... I can feel your emotions?" Emilia asked. "Yes, the more we spend time with each other, the more we are connected."

"Good." Emilia beamed. "Just.... be careful of your power. Don't abuse it." Natasha warned. Emilia frowned in confusion, her head tilted to the side. "It has happened before, I'm just warning you. Be careful." Natasha firmly told her.

"Of course."
