"I just feel bad," Kyoka Jiro mumbled, fiddling with her cape in an inexplicable shame. Momo glanced at her curiously, though not too quickly as to make sure her eyeballs would not topple out of their sockets. The thick forest they sat in was ominously empty, a sensation they were used to, and the pines of the trees blocked out all but a few strands of moonlight.

"Why? You're both of the shapeshifter class."

"No... I can control when and where and under what circumstances I turn into a bat," Jiro sighed. A loud howl sounded into the night air, and a few shouts followed soon after. "Mina can't."

Momo looked upwards, and although she couldn't see the full moon, she could sense it just as easily as walking came to her. Any supernatural or paranormal creature knew where the moon was at all times, for it was their life force and their salvation.

"She was born as a werewolf, just like you were born as a vampire. The full moon is just another night to her."

"But she's in pain—"

"She's only in pain for a minute at the most," Momo informed, rolling out her vast knowledge on non-human entities. "And that's because her body doesn't experience the shift as much as yours does. The pain equates to a bad stomachache." Jiro's frown made no signs of moving along. "You need to relax, Kyoka. She'll only be gone until the morning."

Just as the vampire opened her mouth to respond, a large pink mass tackled her off of the fallen tree the two had been resting on.

"Mina, bad!" Ochako huffed as she and the remaining three jogged up.

Jiro yelped slightly, staring up at the panting figure above her. It was nearly thirty feet tall and a shade of pink that contrasted greatly with the dark forest, its paws pinning her down and its tongue wiping all over her face.

Mina the Big Pink Dog had officially lost all human touch for the night, only knowing her friends and the moon above.
