As I Lay Dying

LOLA POV:

The last time I slept was the night before the stupid ritual and even then I think I got a maximum of 3 hours, but who's counting. I've been up all night going through all the Gilbert journals and any historic artefacts I could get my hands on. I need to find a cure, I need to save Damon.

I've been sat in the kitchen all night, with books and papers covering most of the countertops, but so far I'm not having any luck in finding a cure.

I glance up to see Stefan walk in, wow must be morning already, "Lola, what are you doing?"

I don't look back up, I continue to read the current page I'm on, "What does it look like? I'm finding a cure."

Stefan walks up to me and puts his hand on the journal I'm reading, I look up and glare at him as he looks down at me, concerned, "Have you even slept?"

I roll my eyes as I turn away and start looking through a different journal, "Well that's the good thing about being a vampire, Stefan." I turn to look at him and smile sarcastically, "It's not essential that we sleep."

Stefan sighs as he flicks through a journal, "So you've been down here since the funeral looking through all of this?"

"Apart from having a shower and getting in a different change of clothes, pretty much." I mumble as I pour probably my 9th cup of coffee so far.

Stefan sighs once more as he takes yet another journal away from me, "Lola, listen." I huff as I clench my jaw glaring down at the counter, I look up at Stefan, still glaring as Stefan continues, "If there was something in these journals about a cure, we would have found it already. We've read through these so many times and nothing is in there about a cure."

I shake my head not agreeing with him, "Maybe you think that because when we were looking through them we weren't looking for one!" I snatch the journal out of his hands and start to look through it again, tears start filling my eyes, "We were looking for the witch house, ways to save Elena, we weren't looking for a way to save one of us! To save Damon!" A wave of dizziness goes through me, causing me to drop the journal and step back a little to regain my balance.

Stefan grabs me to help me maintain my balance, "Are you okay?"

I lightly push away from Stefan, "Yeah, I'm fine."

My vision starts to go a bit blurry as I lose my balance again, Stefan grabs me and guides me over to a chair and sits me down. He crouches down in front of me and looks at me worried, "When was the last time you fed?"

I shrug and laugh slightly as I try to remember the last time it was, "The night on the roof, and even then it was only about a third of a bag."

Stefan vamp speeds down to the basement and returns with a blood bag, he rips the top open and passes it over to me, "You need to feed, Lola."

I nod as I take the blood bag and drain it within seconds, I look up at Stefan and laugh as I wipe the blood away from the corner of my mouth, "I've been a bit busy trying to make sure my brothers stay alive and help defeat my psycho ex." I start to instantly feel better, physically. Mentally, I feel just as weak as I have been for days.

Stefan pulls a chair and sits opposite me and grabs my hands, "I know exactly what you're thinking, none of this is your fault. Just because you knew this Klaus guy before all of this doesn't mean that everything happening is your fault. I've got Bonnie looking for a cure, we will get through this, together."

I can't help but smile at Stefan. After all the fighting we've done over the years, he's still there for me when I need him. I hope he thinks the same about me, I would do anything for my brothers, "Since when were the younger siblings better at giving little pick me up speeches than the older siblings?"

Stefan laughs as he lowers his head for a moment, he looks back up smiling, "Since my older siblings are you and Damon."

I roll my eyes and laugh as I playfully hit him, "Is Damon awake yet?"

Stefan sighs, "I don't know where he is. He isn't in his room and he isn't answering my calls."

I look up at Stefan shocked, "Wait, what?!" Before either of us can say anything else, we hear the front door open and shut, I can tell just by the sound of the foot steps it's Damon.

We both head into the living room where we can hear Damon. I walk in ahead of Stefan, "Hey, Damon listen-" I stop speaking as I look over and see my dumbass brother standing in front of the window without his ring and his skin is burning. I vamp speed over and push him away from the sunlight and pin him on the floor, "What the hell are you playing at?!"

Damon glares up at me, "Get off of me."

I vamp speed him off the floor and push him against a wall as I grab onto the collar of his shirt, "You're not doing this."

Damon smirks slightly, "Just did."

Ugh, he is such a dick. I vamp speed down the hallway, pinning him against another wall. His smirk drops, "You know what happened to Rose, Lo."

"I don't care!" I snap back, I vamp speed him down into the basement and throw him into the cellar, I close the door to the cellar and lock it, "You're not dying today."

Stefan follows us both down into the basement, we look at our brother through the bars on the door. Damon turns around to rest on his side as he looks up at us, "What's the plan, Team Salvatore? Are we going to reignite our ring powers?"

"We're gonna find a way out of this." Stefan says.

Damon scoffs, "Oh, right. A miracle cure. Good luck with that one."

"I got Bonnie looking for something..." Stefan explains, "Anything."

Damon rolls his eyes, "Always the hero, Stefan. Just tell me goodbye, get it over with." He starts coughing and rolls onto his stomach as he coughs more, now bringing up blood. I vamp speed back upstairs, I can't see him like that.

"Lie still." Stefan says softly, "Conserve your strength."

Stefan joins me back upstairs and we head out to go and meet Bonnie at the witches house.

--------------------------------------------------

Stefan and I are driving over to meet Bonnie at the witches house, Stefan grabs his phone and dials Alaric's number.

"Sorry, you've reached somebody who's currently not operating."

"I need your help."

"Well, you must have me confused with somebody else. You see, I'm not allowed to help, just idly sit by while my girlfriend gets sacrificed on an altar of blood."

"Damon's dying." God just hearing Stefan saying those words makes my heart drop.

"What?"

"Tyler Lockwood bit him. We don't have much time."

Remind me to beat the shit out of Tyler next time I see him.

"What do you need?"

Stefan presses the speak button on his phone, I take that as my cue to talk, "Ric, it's Lola. We need you to go to the house and keep an eye on him. Make sure he doesn't do anything stupid, we caught him turning himself into a roasted marshmallow earlier."

"What? Is he okay?"

"Yeah he's fine. We've got him in the cellar. We're on our way to speak with Bonnie and try to find a cure from the witchy spirits."

"Okay, keep me posted. I'm on my way."

Stefan hangs up the phone just as I pull up to the witches house where Bonnie is outside waiting for us. We all head inside and walk down into the basement of the house. Bonnie crouches down onto the floor to light a candle, she looks up at Stefan I, unconvinced, "I'm not sure this is going to work."

"You've done a sรฉance before, right?" Stefan asks as he crouches down to be eye level with Bonnie, "Contacted Emily Bennett? Maybe one of the witches might know how to help Damon."

Bonnie sighs as she stands up straight, "Let's just hope they want to." She starts to chant a spell. All the of the candles around the room start to burn, the flames are double in size to what they're normally like.

Stefan and I both look around the room confused as we can hear voices whispering all around us. Bonnie stops chanting but eyes still remain closed, Stefan takes a step closer to her, "Bonnie? Bonnie?"

Bonnie opens her eyes, "Emily." Her complete posture changes, as does her voice, "Why have you come here, Stefan?"

"Okay, so you're not even going to acknowledge I'm here too?" I say sarcastically over to her but she just glares back at me, "Nice to see you too, Emily."

Stefan sighs, "I need your help. I need to know if there's a spell that can heal a werewolf bite."

"No." Emily bluntly responds, "Nature ensures a balance to everything."

"Is that true?" I snap at her, "...or are you just saying no because it's Damon?"

Emily continues to glare at me, "Perhaps it is his time to die."

Stefan shakes his head, "No. That's not balance. That's punishment."

"Hm, I will not give you what you want."

"So you're saying that there's an answer to give?" Stefan quizzes her, "Please, if you know something, just tell me. Help us save our brother."

Bonnie suddenly holds her ears and screams in pain. She falls to the floor. Stefan kneels down besides her, "Bonnie?"

Bonnie looks up at us both, still holding her head in pain, "They don't want us here. They think I'm abusing their power."

I laugh as I throw my arms up, "They know something. There's an answer. Isn't that right, Emily?" I shout looking around the room, I look back down at Stefan and Bonnie, "They just don't want to tell us."

"I heard them say a name."

Do not say it.

"What was it?" Stefan asks.

Bonnie pauses for a moment, "Klaus."

She said it.

I groan out in frustration as I run my hands through my hair, "Well, isn't this great."

We all head upstairs and start walking towards my car. I've been trying to ring Elijah all morning and he just keeps screening my calls. Huh, there's a shock. I grab my keys out of my pocket, "Stef, take my car and head back into town. You need to go and speak to Elena about all of this."

Stefan looks down at the keys in my hand and reluctantly takes them, "What about you?"

"I'm going to just walk back to the house." I lied, "I'll go check up on Damon."

Stefan nods and he and Bonnie both get in my car and drive away. I have a feeling where Elijah is going to be, and where he will be will most definitely be alongside Klaus. Klaus hasn't came to torment myself or my brothers since the ritual, so my guess is he is still in his wolf form, or only just turned back.

I head into the woods and plan to just constantly ring Elijah until he answers. I've seen how annoyed he gets at phones constantly ringing, so my hope is that eventually he'll answer. Or I'll find them in the woods first, let's see what happens.

-----------------------------------------------------

3RD PERSON POV:

Klaus wakes up in amazement, naked in the forest. He looks at the sun and smiles.

"You've been busy." Elijah says as he throws some clothes down onto the ground besides Klaus.

"That was amazing." Klaus says in astonishment, he stands up and starts to get dressed, "How long has it been?"

"Almost 2 days." Elijah answers him, "Full moon came and went. You remained a wolf."

"I can change at will, then." Klaus says smirking, he looks over to Elijah, "It's good to know. I remember every single kill."

"Yes, I've been cleaning up your little mess along the way." Elijah states unimpressed.

Klaus smirks, "Just like old times, brother."

"You've had your fun." Elijah says as he walks towards Klaus and hands him some boots, "I believe we have a bargain." He grabs his phone out of his pocket when he hears it ring but declines straight away, only for it to ring again immediately.

"That's right. Now, what was it again?" Klaus says, playing dumb as he puts on his shoes, "Oh, yeah. Wait. I remember. That's it. You wish to be reunited with our family."

"You gave me your word, Niklaus." Elijah states bluntly as he picks up Klaus' coat from the floor and dusts off the mud and leaves.

"What kind of brother would break his bond? Even though you did try to kill me." Klaus says as he glares over to Elijah and then puts his shirt on.

"I could have." Elijah states, standing up from himself, "But I didn't." He holds out Klaus' coat for him to put on. He ignores the phone call, yet again but it rings again within seconds.

"And now no one can, not even you." Klaus says smugly as he looks over his shoulder to Elijah. Elijah begins to walk away but when Klaus speaks he stops, "Don't think I have forgotten about you helping Lola hide from me all these decades."

Elijah remains in his spot with his back to Klaus, "I was protecting her."

Klaus vamp speeds over to face Elijah, "And we both know why that is, don't we?"

Elijah looks at Klaus with no expression on his face, "I care for the girl, that is all."

Klaus smiles and laughs, "Relax, Elijah. All is forgiven."

Klaus begins to walk away but Elijah grabs his arm, "Where are they?"

"You need to lighten up." Klaus says as he pats Elijah on the shoulder, "I'll bring you to them soon enough." He begins to walk away but Elijah's phone starts to ring again. Klaus turns to face Elijah again and smirks, "Are you going to answer your phone that is constantly ringing? I assume that's Lola ready with an argument about you saving me?"

Elijah grabs his phone out of his jacket pocket and looks down at the caller ID, "You would assume correctly." Elijah answers the call, "Yes?"

"Oh, finally! Sorry if I've interrupted you being a back stabbing son of a bitch!"

Klaus laughs at Lola's blunt tone, Elijah sighs, "Is there something you need?"

"Yes, actually there is. Where are you?"

"The woods on the outskirts of town." Elijah answers.

"Oh what coincidence..." Lola says through the phone but can also be heard from behind the brothers, they both turn to face her, she is standing behind them holding up her phone, "...So am I."

LOLA POV:

I hang up the phone as I walk towards them both. Klaus is smirking over to me, "It's lovely to see you again, Lola."

I stop walking and glare over to him, "Wish I could say the same."

"Well coming to find us in the woods must mean whatever you need is urgent." Elijah points out, "How can I help?"

I sigh as I clear my throat and cross my arms against my chest, I glance between them both, "Do either of you know anything about curing a werewolf bite?" Neither of them respond, Klaus smiles smugly and Elijah looks away from me. I roll my eyes, "Well it's obvious you know about something, so tell me what it is."

Klaus smirks over to me and then looks over to Elijah, "Do you mind, brother? Go wait by the car, we will be along shortly." Elijah says nothing, he walks away from us both as Klaus takes a few steps towards me, "Do you remember a discussion we had in 1918?"

I look up at him, confused as I shrug my shoulders, "We had a few discussions back then, I'll need you to be just a little bit more specific."

Klaus chuckles slightly, "Yes, yes we did. There was one discussion we had that I remember as though it was yesterday." He starts to circle around me as though I'm his prey, "We were in bed together, it was the night of the ball I threw in your honour..."

"Get to the point." I snap, I know exactly where he's going with this.

He continues to circle me until we are face to face once more, "You said to me that when I was successful in breaking this curse, you would come away on a trip with me."

Ah yes, the trip he wanted to take in order to create a new race. Hybrids. I flash a sarcastic smile at him, "Yeah well I said that when I could actually stand to be in the same room as you. I feel differently now."

Klaus laughs, "I thought you'd say that. It's a shame though." He walks towards me and leans down to whisper in my ear, "I would have gladly gave you the information I have about a cure if you would come on this little adventure with me." He begins to walk away.

I turn around to watch him walk away as I scoff, "So you're blackmailing me? Really?"

He turns to face me and shrugs, "I don't see it as blackmailing, love. I just see it as accepting the offer you promised me all those years ago." He flashes a smug smile once more and turns to walk away again.

Come on, Lola. It's just one trip to safe your brother's life. "Okay, fine!" I blurt out, Klaus stops walking but doesn't turn to face me, I sigh, "I'll come with you."

Klaus turns to face me and smiles, "Wonderful."

-----------------------------------------------------

3RD PERSON POV:

At Alaric's apartment, Katherine is still trapped there. She has grew impatient in there, she was expecting to be free 2 days ago after the ritual. Katherine is sat on the bed as the front door opens, Stefan slowly walks in looking around which is when he sees Katherine sitting on the bed, "Hello, Katherine."

Katherine stands up and storms over to Stefan, "Two days, I've been waiting. I'm supposed to be free of Klaus' compulsion by now. He's supposed to be dead!"

"We ran into complications." Stefan admits as he closes the door and walks over to Katherine.

Katherine scoffs, "Complications?"

Stefan sighs, "Doesn't really matter. I just need to find him. Do you have any idea where he might be?"

Katherine pushes Stefan against a wall and motions him to be quiet as the front door opens once more, "Klaus, you're back. Look who decided to come for a visit."

LOLA POV:

I walk in after Klaus and look over to see Katherine and Stefan, I glare over to him, "What the hell are you doing here?!"

Stefan looks over at me stunned to see me in the company of the two originals, "I could ask you the same thing."

I cross my arms against my chest, still glaring at him, "I asked first."

Klaus laughs slightly and walks towards Stefan, "You just keep popping up, don't you?"

"I need your help..." Stefan says cutting to the point as he steps towards Klaus, "For our brother."

"Well, whatever it is, it's gonna have to wait a tick. You see, I have an obligation to my brother that requires my immediate attention." Klaus says as he brushes past me and walks past Stefan.

Stefan grabs my arm, making me stand by him. He looks up and glares over to Elijah who starts to take a few steps towards us, "You understand how important family is, or you wouldn't be here. My brother gave me his word that he would reunite me with my own."

"And so I shall." Klaus answers as he is suddenly behind Elijah. Elijah turns to face him and Klaus daggers him in his heart. Klaus stabs it in further and grabs the back of Elijah's head, "Shhh."

I scream out in shock, "No!" Stefan keeps hold of me to stop me running over, "Stefan, let go of me!"

Klaus drops Elijah's body onto the ground and walks towards us both, he glares over to Stefan, and vamp speeds him against a wall, letting me out of Stefan's hold, "Now, what am I going to do with you?"

I rush over to Elijah to take the dagger out. Klaus turns to face me, "I wouldn't do that if I were you, love. I'll have to resort to my other options." He turns to face Stefan once more and stabs a stake through Stefan's chest. Stefan groans and buckles forward but Klaus holds him up.

I storm over to them, anger over taking me, "Klaus! Stop it!"

Klaus ignores me, "Do you feel that? It's scraping against your heart. The slightest little movement and you're dead."

"He's just trying to help their brother." Katherine blurts out from the other side of the room, totally forgot she was there to be honest.

"The witches said you had a cure. Make me a deal. Just give me the cure, and I'll do whatever you want." Stefan begs.

Klaus rips out the stake and Stefan falls to the floor. I rush over to him, "Are you okay?" Wow, what a great question, Lola. Of course he isn't okay! He smiles weakly as he nods but then groans out in pain once more. I pull him into a hug as tears form in my eyes, "I'm so sorry."

"It's not your fault." He whispers.

Klaus walks over to the counter, puts the stake on it, and pours himself a glass of blood, "Trouble is I don't know if you'd be any good to me the way you are now. You are just shy of useless." Klaus walks over to us both, still on the floor, with a glass of blood in his hand as he crouches down, he looks over to me and smirks, "I heard about this one vampire," He looks over to Stefan, "Crazy bloke, always on and off the wagon for decades. When he was off, he was magnificent."

I glare over to Klaus, "Don't you even dare." I warn him. Stefan looks at me confused and then glances back at Klaus.

Klaus smiles as he stands up, "1917, he went into Monterrey and wiped out an entire migrant village...A true ripper. Sound familiar?"

Stefan sighs, "I haven't been that way in a very long time."

"Well, that's the vampire I can make a deal with." Klaus says as he smirks down at us, I help Stefan get up as Klaus continues, "That is the kind of talent that I can use when I leave this town."

I let go of Stefan and step closer to Klaus, "What the hell are you playing at? We agreed I would come with you, you don't need to involve Stefan!"

Stefan grabs my wrist and pulls me back towards him, he looks at me confused, "What are you talking about? You're not going anywhere with him!"

Klaus laughs, he turns to face Katherine, "Katerina, come here." Katherine gets closer. He takes her arm. His face changes, his eyes are yellow and he bites her wrist.

Katherine looks down at the bite and starts panicking, "Aah! No. No...No. No. No."

Klaus bites his own wrist and then pushes it against Katherine's mouth. She tries to fight it but eventually drinks his blood. When Klaus moves away, Katherine looks down at her wound that heals instantly.

Stefan and I both stare down at Katherine's bite healing, dumbfounded. Klaus looks over to us both and smirks, "You want your cure? There it is."

Stefan sighs, "Your blood is the cure."

I shake my head as I scoff, "Of course it is."

"Gotta love Mother Nature." Klaus says as he puts his hand on Stefan's shoulder, "Now...Let's talk, you and I."

Sat in the kitchen, Klaus is squeezing a knife blade tightly, and blood is pouring from his hand into a vial. Stefan is stood near him as I'm sitting besides Katherine on the couch. Klaus looks over to Stefan, "There it is. You want to save your brother? How about a decade-long bender?"

I stand up and walk towards him, "No way! Stefan isn't going anywhere with you!"

Klaus vamp speeds over to me and pins me against a wall, Stefan looks over annoyed, "Let go of her!"

Klaus smirks at me as he pins me against the wall, he slowly moves closer to me, "This is the deal I will accept, love. Both you and your brother leave this town with me and I'll save your brother." He lets go of me and looks over to Stefan, "And I have big plans for you when we leave this town."

Stefan shakes his head, "I'm not like that anymore."

Klaus shrugs as he walks over to the counter where the vile of his blood is, "Well, that's too bad. You would have made a hell of a wingman." Klaus starts to pour the blood into the sink.

"Wait." Stefan mutters, Klaus stops pouring the blood out and smirks over to Stefan.

"Now that's more like it. I want you to join me for a drink." Klaus says as he throws a blood bag along the counter towards Stefan.

Stefan grabs the bag and looks down at it, thinking for a moment. I start to walk towards him, "Stefan, don't." Klaus grabs my arm and stops me from working any further, he looks at me with a don't even think about it look.

Stefan looks up at me and smiles as he nods his head slightly, "It's fine, Lola." He rips the top of the blood bag off and takes a small sip.

I snatch my arm out of Klaus' grip and turn away. Klaus watches Stefan as he drinks his glass of blood, "Finish it. All of it. You do everything I say, and I save your brother. That's the deal."

Stefan drinks all of it. Klaus throws him another blood bag, "Again." Stefan grabs the bag and drains it all.

I can't even look at what Klaus is forcing Stefan to do.ย  I bury my face into my hands as I sit beside Katherine, it's bad enough hearing it. I hate to say it but this needs to be done to save Damon. Stefan has been like this before and he's been able to get back on track. Lexi was always there to help him until Damon killed her but I'll try my best to help him myself.

Stefan is on the floor, draining his fifth blood bag, empty blood bags are scattered on the floor. Klaus is looking down at him amazed, "You're very cooperative. It's almost as though you're enjoying it." He throws yet another blood bag down in front of Stefan.

Stefan shakes his head, "No more. Not until you give me the cure."

"Not until we make a deal. It's your choice, Stefan." Klaus crouches down to be eye level with Stefan, he picks up the blood bag he dropped in front of Stefan and waves it in front of him, "You can either remain here living your life in Mystic Falls, or you can embrace what you truly are, leave town with me and your sister, and save your brother's life."

Stefan snatches the blood bag out of Klaus' grip and drains it within seconds. Klaus smiles over at him, "That's the spirit." He stands up and picks up the vial of blood and looks over to Katherine, "Sweetheart..." Katherine walks over to him, "Take this over to Damon and come right back." He compels her.

Katherine looks up at Klaus shocked, "You want me to leave?"

"No!" Stefan and I yell at the same time.

"Yes and if I were you..." Klaus says, before he can finish his sentence, Katherine grabs the vial and vamp speeds out the apartment, "I'd hurry."

Klaus sits down on a chair beside me and smiles over to me, I respond with a glare, "She'll never take it to him."

Klaus cocks his head in a gesture of indifference. Stefan looks down and whispers to himself repeating what I've just said, "She'll never take it to him."

I stand up and start to walk towards the door, "I need to see him."

Klaus vamp speeds in front of me, blocking my access to the door, "Listen to me, you are not going anywhere."

I push Klaus to one side and grab him by his neck, "No! You listen to me! I am going to make sure that bitch saves my brother. I'll be coming back, I'm not leaving Stefan with you." Before Klaus can say anything else, I vamp speed out the apartment to go and see Damon, one last time.

---------------------------------------------------

I rush back to the house and look around panicking, "Damon?! Damon?!" I walk up towards his bedroom when Elena walks out of it, "Is he okay?"

Elena nods, "Yeah he's fine. Katherine gave him the cure, he's sleeping."

I sigh with relief as I walk past Elena and walk into the bedroom to see Damon sleeping peacefully in his bed. I walk over and sit on the edge of his bed and move bits of his hair from his face. Elena walks over to us, "Where's Stefan? Katherine said he's staying with Klaus."

I sigh as I look down at my brother, he's never going to forgive me. I look over to her with tears in my eyes, "She's right. We both have to leave with him."

Elena shakes her head in disbelief, "No, you can't!"

"We have to Elena, this was the only way Klaus would save Damon."

Elena starts to cry, "This is all my fault."

Is she fucking serious right now? Why does she always make things about her?! "This isn't about you Elena!" I snap at her, she looks at me stunned, "This is about Stefan and I saving our brother; not you." I take a deep breath to calm myself down, I look back over to Damon as my eyes start to fill up, "Just tell him we love him."

"No, Lola wait-" Elena starts to plead but before she can say anything else I vamp speed away and leave the house.

----------------------------------------------------

3RD PERSON POV:

In a warehouse, Elijah is lying in a coffin, Klaus is looking down at him, "I suppose, brother, you've been reunited with our family." He closes the coffin and looks over to two men, "Put him with the others. We're leaving town tonight."

The two men put Elijah's coffin in a large wooden crate, alongside 4 other coffins. Klaus walks over to Stefan as Stefan's phone goes off, he looks down at the text message; it's from Elena: "Damon's okay. Where are you?"

"So...Did Katerina make it in time?" Klaus asks.

Stefan looks up from his phone, "You won't be seeing her again, you know."

"Because she's on vervain?" Klaus rushes out, Stefan looks up at him stunned, causing Klaus to laugh slightly, "I've been around a long time, Stefan. I rarely get played for a fool. Besides, she won't get far. You'll help me see to that."

Lola walks into the warehouse and laughs, "You say you rarely get played for a fool, yet I was able to fool you at the dance."

Klaus turns to face Lola and smiles as he walks over to her, "Yes well you have your ways in distraction. Wise choice coming back."

Lola glares up at Klaus, "I'm not doing this for you."

Stefan takes a turn to narrow his eyes at Klaus and steps forward, "What is it you really want from me? What do you want with Lola?"

Klaus glances over to Lola and strokes a piece of her hair, "Well you see, your lovely sister made a promise to me almost 100 years ago, she is just living up to her promise." Lola slaps Klaus' hand away from her, he looks over to Stefan, "As for you, all will be explained in time. Once we leave this tragic little town."

"Then are we done here? Can we go?" Stefan asks harshly.

"Not quite." Klaus starts, "You see, I have a gift for you." He turns and holds out his hand for a girl that walks out from the shadows, "Come here, sweetheart. Don't be afraid." Klaus puts his arm on her shoulder, leans down to her neck, "See, I wanna make sure you honour our deal...that you'll be of use to me." He bites into the girl's neck and drinks her blood, he looks back up at Stefan, "I could have compelled her to behave, but a real ripper enjoys the hunt." Klaus lets the girl go, she runs away screaming and crying. Stefan speeds to catch her up and drains her of all her blood.

Lola looks on in horror, watching her brother become the thing he's hated most about himself. Klaus walks over to her and smirks, "Lighten up, sweetheart. The fun is just beginning."

Lola glares up at Klaus and leans forward to whisper, "You're disgusting."

Stefan walks back over with blood all over his face after killing that girl. Klaus looks over and smirks, "Now we can go."
