I fixed my hair while gazing upon myself in the mirror before me, just slightly above the sink I was oh so fortunate enough to have in my closet of a room. I'd had to grow within these white, closed in walls since I was only 11. And I despised it all. The small bed I'd nearly outgrown if Papa had so kindly given me a new bed. A hoard of hospital gowns that had been exchanged for white dresses fit for an orderly's standards. And the allowance of having my hair grown back from baldness, to shoulder length. Somehow in the course of being here, Papa allowed me to finally grow, be the woman I had been shaping into.

"Just remember what I said. Never give them a reason to assume anything. Okay?" Henry softly said to me while he trapped my chin within his fingertips, angling my face towards his with our eyes exploring depths we didn't know we had. Henry had always been so gentle with me, as if I was made of porcelain. Not once had he been mean, malicious, evil. All words I had heard spoken about him by others.

"Okay. I promise I won't." I half whispered before leaning up to kiss his lips in such a delicate manner, delicate being such a funny thing to be after what we just did. Henry was...... very in tune with my body. He knew what set me off, he knew my weaknesses. And he used that to his advantage.

"That's my girl. Now go on, before Papa comes searching for you." I fixed my dress around my body in a professional manner, simply smiling up at Henry before strutting out of my room as if nothing had happened, heading towards the Rainbow Room for my usual orderly duties I'd grown accustomed to on a day to day basis.

"007.....?" I looked slightly down to see 011 looking up at me with the cutest little eyes I'd ever seen, someone I myself have always felt rather protective over. She was somewhat of a favorite of Papa's as well, meaning she got treated differently from the rest. And some didn't like it.

"Hello sweetheart. How are you today?" I bent down to her level to see such a tired expression on her face, knowing she'd been doing experiments today for the scientists that usually we're put on display for. It was always draining.

"Hurting." Was all she could muster. The poor baby could barley speak because Papa didn't care to teach her much. He's had her since she was a baby, more worried about her abilities than anything. That's why I usually try and teach her a thing or two when we have the time.

"I'm so sorry. Well how about today you just sit and rest? We'll continue our learning tomorrow. Okay?" She smiled at me, something she doesn't do very often before giving me such a sweet hug, my eyes began to water. I felt horrible for what she had to go through. For what most of these kids have to endure on a daily basis. Being away from their true parents. It's hard. Even I always wonder what happened to mine. But more importantly, my sister.

"You get so attached to these kids, you'd think they're your own." I couldn't contain the smile from forming on my face from Vanessa's words. She had been my best friend since I could remember, next to Henry of course. Like us, she was involved with Tate, one of the other orderlies here. We kept each other's secrets.

"You know me. I have too big a heart for my own good V." She knew, that's why she always said she didn't see how I survived in here. Because I couldn't imagine using my abilities for anything other than to help someone. I wasn't exactly weak. But just..... couldn't see myself able to fight if needed.

"I know. But I love you for it. Speaking of, how was your morning endeavors? Anything..... fun on the menu?" She suggestively said to me with a wiggle of her eyebrows. I merely blushed from the thought of it all, what Henry and I had done in my room for over an hour, the little free time I had before now. The way his lips trailed my body in such an addictive manner, his hands roaming anywhere he possibly could. The mere way he made me feel..... was alluring.

"You know Henry would be mad if I said anything." She huffed with a roll of her eyes, but a smile on her lips none the less. She could see what he does to me, how he makes me feel. I was truly in love. I couldn't deny that.

"Well what I do know, is that he would do anything for you. If someone even remotely messed with you, he'd probably kill them." Something everyone says about him. They all feared him to be honest. Because some blamed him for what happened to his family. But my opinion? I didn't know. Regardless, I just didn't feel fear around him. Even if I should.

"Like that orderly that disappeared? He was all over you Audrey. Then the next day, he was just gone. Papa didn't even give an explanation. He just simply..... vanished." Tate suddenly said out of nowhere once he came out of the room behind the reverse mirror. Usually when someone wasn't on duty, we were in that room, watching from behind the mirror you couldn't see from within the rainbow room.

"He was a creep. I'm glad he's gone...." I quietly said because I knew Henry was listening. He had gone past us mere moments ago and into that room, just waiting his turn. He had looked at me for a brief moment, professional as ever. But a fleeting glance that told me something only we knew.

"It's just..... you're in deep with him. Deeper than anyone I've ever seen. You have to be careful. Otherwise, something is going to happen that you can't come back from." Vanessa said with such worry in her tone. Little did I know, how right she was going to be.
