THE QUARTET ENTERED THE AVENGERS TOWERS, with Steve leading them to the lab as the three trailed behind him. Pietro and Wanda walked beside Jamie, their heavy padding footsteps echoing around the halls as silence engulfed around them.

Pietro nervously tugged at his shirt, feeling guilt prickle at his chest. His mind wandered back at the Hydra fascility, where he was willing to leave everything behind, including Jamie who was strapped into misery. He scowled at his past actions, feeling bad for acting out of impulse.

"I'm sorry." Pietro slipped out, running a hand through his blonde locks.

Jamie and Wanda looked at him, confusion etched onto their faces. They watched Pietro gesturing a hand to Jamie, making Wanda give him a thumb up with a supportive smile.

"I—uh, I'm sorry for doubting you. You work with Stark, so I immediately thought that you were also the bad guy. But after getting to know you, you're not like him. I'm sorry, Jamilla." Pietro profusely apologized, his voice turning smaller as he noticed Steve halting with his steps.

Jamie's eyebrows pinched, a thoughtful look on her face as she downed his words. Her face softened, watching his blue eyes tinted with guilt as he nervously looked at her. She let out a hum, a kind smile forming her lips. "It's fine, Pietro, really. I don't blame you—I mean, it's Stark," she said, her voice lacing with slight playfulness.

Pietro chuckled, a knowing look plastered on his face. He bit his lip before voicing his thoughts. "You're not mad?" he asked, his Sokovian accent floating through.

The Heroine chuckled with a shrug. "No, not really. I mean, it's pretty understandable to think that way, but Stark has grown more than you think. He's not the same person he was a few years ago. And with me, I hold no grudges." she answered simply, her hands tucked inside her pockets.

Pietro let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. He nodded at her words, moving his gaze down his shoes. "Good, good." he mumbled, feeling heat flood his cheeks.

Jamie patted his back before turning her attention to Wanda who looked at the moment with a satisfied grin. She chuckled, "Did you make him do this?" she cracked a joke, earning a small giggle from the young teen who shook her head.

"Nope. That's all him." Wanda replied, tucking her hair strands away from her face.

After walking through endless halls, they finally reached to the lab where Tony and Bruce were located. Steve, as usual, stepped in front of them, his stoic expression plastered onto his handsome face as he looked at Tony with a disapproving glare. "I'm gonna say this once."

Tony narrowed his eyes, matching his energy back. "How about "nonce."?"

"Shut it down!" Steve demanded, inching closer.

Tony shook his head. "Nope, not gonna happen."

"You don't know what you're doing." Steve pushed further, giving both of them a look.

"And you do? She's not in your head?" Bruce interjected, his hard eyes lingering on Wanda.

"I know you're angry." Wanda said, stepping beside Steve with a guilty look.

"Oh, we're way past that. I could choke the life out of you and never change a shade." Bruce condemend, his eyes cold and rigid.

Jamie sighed. "Bruce, after everything that's happened—"

"That's nothing compared to what's coming!" Tony cut her off, his glare deepening.

Wanda shook her head violently. "You don't know what's in there!"

"This isn't a game!" Steve snapped, looking at Bruce and Tony with a glower.

Just as they were about oppose, Pietro used his speed to destroy the lab equipment. Quicksilver gripped on the ladder, giving them a smug look. "No, no. Go on. You were saying?"

Before anyone could register a sound of glass breaking, Pietro fell through a hole beneath him. His sister cried, "Pietro!"

"I'm rerouting the upload." Tony said, turning around to the computer only to be met with Steve's shield damaging the devices. Tony blocked his shield by his armored hand, sending a blast of fire towards his way, sending him to the glass.

Jamie went towards the Cradle, but a sudden agonizing pain tore through her skull. She screamed out in pain as she scrambled to the floor. Tears welled inside her eyes and she clutched her head with her hands, gasping for air. She grunted, moving her head to see Tony, his eyes painted with guilt as he sent a wave of irradiated beam. She clenched her teeth, her eyes squeezed shut, the aneurysm making her arteries writhe underneath her eyes.

Steve quickly stood up to his feet, his hand gripping his shield tightly. His heart swelled, watching his girlfriend crumbled to the floor with her head in her hands. His eyes hardened, watching Tony pointing his armored towards the Heroine. "Tony. Stop!" he fumed, dashing towards him.

Steve threw a punch, hitting his jaw. Tony blasted a beam of energy, sending him flying across the lab. As Steve stood up, Thor entered and hit the Cradle with his hammer, sending a powerful bolt of lightning. "Wait!"

They all look in shock at the new entity with dread. The Cradle revealed the body to life, everyone watching as Vision launched himself at Thor, who threw him across the window, but he caught himself right before colliding with the glass.

Jamie panted, looking at the newfound body with bewilderment. She groaned, feeling her temples throb. A pair of hands pulled her up, and she whirled her head to them, her scowl deepening at the sight. She scoffed, brushing him off. "Really, Stark?"

Tony clenched his jaw, giving her an apologetic look. "Had to try it on someone." he said, cringing at the end as he watched her glaring at him.

"I'm sorry, that was...odd." Vision, his tone lacing with Jarvis' voice, earning the Heroine's attention.

"Thor, you helped create this?" Steve asked the god, a frown etched onto his face.

Thor shook his head. "I've had a vision. A whirlpool that sucks in all hope of life and at its center is that." he explained, pointing to the gem inside Vision's head.

Bruce furrowed his eyebrows. "What, the gem?"

Jamie tilted her head to the side, finding herself sauntering forwards. "It's the Mind Stone. It's one of the six Infinity Stones." she interposed, her eyes gazing at the canary stone.

Thor nodded at her statement. "The stones are the greatest power in the universe, unparalleled in its destructive capabilities."

"Then why would you bring it to..." Steve puzzeled, looking at him with confusion.

"Because Stark is right." Thor said.

"Oh, it's definitely the end times." Bruce disputed, his arms folded together with an uneasy look.

"The Avengers cannot defeat Ultron." Thor concluded.

"Not alone." Vision butted in, turning his body around.

"Why does your "vision" sound like Jarvis?" Steve asked.

Tony sighed. "We reconfigured Jarvis' matrix to create something new."

Steve shook his head, a glare forming his face. "I think I've had my fill of new."

Vision raised his eyebrows with surpise. "You think I'm a child of Ultron?"

     "You're not?"

Vision shook his head at Steve. "I'm not Ultron. I'm not Jarvis. I am...I am." he responded, a look of thoughtfulness etched onto his features.

"I looked in your head and saw annihilation." Wanda said, walking forwards.

     "Look again." Vision told her.

"Yeah. Her seal of approval means jack to me." Clint sighed.

Jamie tuned out their heated conversation and turned her attention on her pulsating temples. She brought a hand over her forehead, rubbing her skin as she let out a sharp breath through her nose. She clenched her jaw and craned her neck to the side. Her eyes looked back at Clint, who told them that Natasha was located somewhere in Sokovia, also adding that Ultron was doing his scheme of plans in the city.

"If we're wrong about you, if you're the monster that Ultron made you to be..." Bruce warned, his eyes hardening.

"What will you do?" Vision said, looking at them. "I don't want to kill Ultron. He's unique, and he's in pain. But that pain will roll over the earth, so he must be destroyed. Every form he's built, every trace of his presence on the net, we have to act now. And not one of us can do it without the others. Maybe I am a monster. I don't think I'd know if I were one. I'm not what you are, and not what you intended. So there may be no way to make you trust me. But we need to go."

Vision held Thor's hammer as everyone stared in shock. When Thor took it, the entity walked off. The Asgardian patted Tony on the shoulder. "Right. Well done."
