Daphne Juliet Black, daughter of Lucerys Black and Rosalie Lupin-Black, was a young witch of many talents. From a young age the family was laced with thick tension surrounding it. Rosalie is the daughter of Lyall and Hope Lupin, and sister to Remus Lupin. A man who was secretly a werewolf. While Lucerys was the son of Walburga and Orion Black, brother of the late Regulus Black and prisoner Sirius Black. Known Death Eaters and Betrayers of the Order.

Daphne grew up knowing of the war and of her family. Her Uncle Remus often stayed with the family on the nights that there wasn't a full moon as did her cousin, Atticus Black. Atticus was the son of her late Uncle, he had nowhere to go and so Lucerys and Rosalie raised him as one of their own. Of course, they did receive many looks from other witches and wizards due to their complicated history.

Upon her first year at Hogwarts, Daphne had been sorted into gryffindor. Which came as a slight shock to a majority of her family. She was silent, and no one saw her as the outgoing type. Atticus on the other hand, was sorted into slytherin the year prior. Which came as the usual, most members of the house of Black adorned the colors of silver and green upon arriving at Hogwarts.

Though, within Daphne's first year and Atticus' second year, trouble had started within the castle. Daphne had befriended muggleborn Hermione Granger, who had introduced her to her other friends. Ron Weasley and Harry Potter. Of course, Atticus was not pleased with how close Daphne had grown to the three, finding himself not fond of the Chosen one but he stepped aside and let the girl make friends while he befriended Theodore Nott and a few Ravenclaws, including Cho Chang.

Voldemort had taken hold of one of their professors causing the group of friends to participate in a fight, a fight through different trials before ultimately a majority of them fell injured upon playing live wizards chess, but Harry got through and managed to save the day alongside the Philosopher's stone.

Atticus and Daphne had a dull summer compared to their first year of schooling. A few concerns were brought up within the family but no one seemed phased by any of them. Despite the crumbling relationship between Rosalie and Lucerys over a few matters of war which everyone had hoped had settled before they welcomed their daughter.

But once the summer had ended, the two returned to school once more. Only to find out that the Chamber had secrets had been opened once again since its time in 1949. Daphne had joined the quidditch team, becoming a chaser while Atticus remained handy with his studies.

Hermione Granger became one of many to become petrified while there, at the time, Professor Lockhart became more and more useless as he tried to sacrifice three members of the golden quartet to the Chamber just to get a good book out of it. Alas, things happened and Harry and Daphne found themselves going deeper to find Ginny Weasley.

Upon finding her, Daphne found herself face to face with Tom Riddle. Who managed to get his basilisk to harm the girl, before Harry managed to help her get away before he slayed the creature with the sword of Godric Gryffindor. Daphne tried to help out Ginny as Harry destroyed the diary of Tom Riddle and fell ill to the effects of basilisk venom.

But once again, they persevered thanks to Forks, Dumbledore's phoenix who had managed to heal Harry and Daphne before the lot was taken to Dumbledore himself and the Hospital Wing to be attended to by Madame Pomfrey.

Atticus grew to strongly dislike the group of friends that his cousin had made herself accompanied too. Believing they caused more harm than good knowing the type of situations Daphne had gone through ever since she had drawn close to them. But, that was the least of their worries.

Though, then over one summer, everything under the Lupin-Black roof began to crumble. The family. Their morals. The blood.

And no one knew where they would end up next...
