"Hopper, over here!" Steve called out, waving his hand towards the Chief of Police who had just entered The Silver Cat. He patted the stool next to him at the bar and Hopper strode over with a smile on his face.

"How's it going, Harrington?" Hopper asked as he pulled his hat and gloves off and set them on the bar. A dusting of snow fell to the floor as he unzipped his thick winter coat.

"Oh, you know...work and...more work," Steve answered, sloshing the whiskey around in his glass.

"What can I get you, Chief?" Robin asked, appearing from out of thin air to take his order.

"A new taillight on your car would be nice," Hopper answered with a knowing look. "I see you still haven't replaced it from when I pulled you over last week."

Robin blushed in embarrassment. "Busted..." she muttered to herself.

"Just like your taillight," Hopper teased, a smile growing beneath his moustache. "I'll take it easy on you tonight so you can get home safe, but if you're not able to get it fixed in the next couple days be sure to have Vickie drive you to work."

"Yes, Chief," Robin agreed, elongating the syllables like an annoyed child would do when responding to their overbearing parent.

"I'll take a Miller," Hopper answered her question at long last. Robin grabbed a bottle from the fridge, popping the cap off with a bottle opener and sliding the open bottle towards him. He tipped it towards her in thanks before taking a sip. "So, what did you want to talk to me about, Steve?"

"I have...some exciting news," Steve replied, taking a sip of whiskey to boost his confidence.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah, um..." Steve began, clearing his throat with a cough. "I'm...I'm going to..."

Hopper waited patiently, sipping at his beer.

Steve pulled at the collar of his shirt, a bead of sweat rolling down his neck. When he struggled to get the words from his mind to his mouth, he sighed in defeat and began digging his hand in his pocket, nearly falling off his stool in the process. When he finally dug the object out, he placed it on the bar top for Hopper to see.

Hopper's eyebrows raised when he looked at the little black box sitting before him. "Is that...?" he began to ask and Steve flipped the lid open to reveal a delicate ring with a sparkling diamond in the center. "Well, I'm flattered Harrington, but I'm a married man."

Steve rolled his eyes with a chuckle. "It's for Quinn. I'm going to ask her to marry me."

Hopper stared at Steve, his mouth set firm and his brows furrowed. Steve gulped. He had been anxious about revealing this news to Hopper given everything that had happened with Sarah. But then Hopper's eyes softened and a smile lit up his face. "Congrats, kid. I'm happy for you two!" he congratulated him with a pat on the back.

"Th-thanks," Steve stammered, smiling in relief. "You know, after Sarah...I didn't think I could ever fall in love again. But Quinn proved I could."

"She's good for you," Hopper agreed with a nod. "And I know Sarah would have wanted you to move on, to be happy."

"I also wanted to say thanks," Steve continued, glancing down at his glass before looking back to Hopper.

"Thanks?" Hopper asked in confusion. "Thanks for what?"

"You've always been there for me. More than my parents ever were," Steve answered, wiping away a tear that had gathered in the corner of his eye. "And I was hoping that maybe...maybe you'd officiate the wedding? You're important to me so it's important to me that you're apart of it."

Hopper took a breath, processing exactly what had been asked of him. "Absolutely," he answered, blinking away his own tear.

Steve smiled as he placed a hand on Hopper's shoulder in gratitude, the two taking the moment to recall everything they had been through together. When Steve's dad had passed down ownership of Harrington Real Estate to him, they drank together. When Hopper had proposed to Joyce, they drank together. When life was crazy and they hadn't seen each other in a little while, they drank together. And when the pain of missing Sarah became too much...they drank together. This was far from their first drink together and far from their last.

"So, any thoughts on who your groomsmen will be?" Hopper asked as he took another sip of his beer.

"Buckley is Best Man," Steve answered.

"Ay-o!" Robin shouted from where she was washing a glass at the sink.

"Er, Best Woman, I guess," Steve corrected himself. "I'm also going to ask Henderson, of course, along with Wheeler, Sinclair, and Byers. Both of them. And also El. She's part of the party, so I want her to be part of my wedding party."

Hopper smiled. "She'll be excited to hear that."

"I'm thinking the space behind the library for the venue and white roses," Steve continued, his face glowing with excitement the more he thought about it. "If Quinn is okay with it, of course. And also given that she says yes..."

"She's going to say yes," Hopper reassured him.

"Quick question," Robin announced as she tied off the garbage bag behind the bar and hauled it out onto the floor. "How do you think Quinn will feel about strippers for the bachelor party?"

"No, Robin," Steve cautioned her, his sharp gaze drilling the answer into her. "No strippers!"

"Just like one or two strippers," Robin replied with a mischievous grin as she dragged the bag of trash towards the back.

"You're in a committed relationship!" Steve shouted at her as she disappeared through the door. When she was no longer within hearing distance, he sighed. "I'm already regretting some decisions."

Hopper nodded his head in agreement and took a swig of beer.

"Did somebody say strippers?" Bruce Lowe's slurred voice asked from the end of the bar.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Thanks so much for 50,000 reads! I'm so glad (and relieved lol) that you all enjoyed "001" enough to stick around for the sequel! Also, it's so crazy to me that "002" reached 50K reads before the 30th chapter when "001" didn't even reach 50K reads until after the 37th chapter?? You guys give me the motivation to keep writing and I super appreciate all your reads, likes, and comments! I hope you continue to read along and enjoy the story! β™₯

Also ━ I wanted to ask what kind of one-shots you guys would like to see for these bonus chapters. I have a couple ideas (Joyce and Hopper's wedding, Steve/Quinn and Robin/Vickie double date, more about Sarah's time in the Diagonal) but I'd love to hear your thoughts! Any events you'd like to see that take place after the end of "001" and before the current events of "002"!
