There's now evidence that the Snake Pit, in BeyBlade Burst Evolution, was based off of a real life building: Willowbrook State School.

The Willowbrook State School was a state supported instuition located in New York for children with intellectual or mental disability.

New York is where Theodore and his Raging Bulls team are located.

Conditions and questionable medical practices and experiments prompted Senator Robert Kennedy to call it a "snake pit", which ironically is exactly was Ashtem named the underground training facility.

An eerie similarity is that the school was known to treat it's patientd harshly, abusing and forcing them to go through extrenuoud torture and expirements. In the BeyBlade Snake Pit, we first catch a glimpse of kids training intensely, and Boa, one of the bladers there, collapsing out of sheer exhaustion. Meanwhile some of the Shadow Bladers stood there staring at everyone emotionlessly and collecting data of some sort.

Even then, when Shu coverted to Red Eyes, Ashtem placed him in a pod of some sort for the purpose of discovering a much powerful Spryzen, during the process which Shu appears to be in immense pain, but going through it anyways.
