Fact 1: In the Gen 2 beta instead of a Chain Chomp looking thing on its tail, Girafarig had another Giraffe head. This is representative  of its name which is a palindrome. (Same forwards and backwards) (see also: Eevee, Ho-Oh)

Personally I always thought Girafarig should have been Psychic, Dark, especially with this design.
