Insey brings Gary out of the room as they are going to the meeting, but his appearance is already disturbing the other members, Golly asks, "Insey, what are you thinking? He is our prison and why are you freeing him?"

"It is simple, I manage to persuade him to join in our group. He finally learned the error of his ways and he will be helping us out."

Mark just snorts and gives him a glare, "Are you sure he can be trusted? What if all is just his plan to escape?"

Minami says, "He's right, humans are manipulative. That is why I don't believe it."

Ash says, "Enough, all of you." Ash looks at Gary and his eyes glow white, Gary just freezes in the spot until Ash's white eyes go back to normal. "What did you do to me? Ashy Boy?"

"I was checking your heart, and I see that you are honest." He walks towards him and puts his hand on his shoulder. "Welcome to Team Alpha."

"Thanks, Ashy Boy. I heard everything from Insey and I can't believe that my Grandpa tried to kill all of you. I feel like I am an idiot that admires him from the beginning..." Gary frowns.

"It is all in the past, now that you have joined us, I want you to train your Pokemon at the basement."

Gary says, "That's it? I don't need to go out and kick some butts?"

Ash says, "Not yet. Compared to the Legendary Pokemon outside, your level is not even their standard. You will get a dying wish if you become this reckless. But don't worry, with Victini and Marshadow training you, I am sure it will be not much time that you can keep it up."

"Point taken, Ashy boy." Gary then leaves as Insey volunteers to take care of him. Minami notices a faint blush on Insey's face and she asks Ash, "Hey Brother, is it just me, or does Insey fall in love with Gary Oak?"

Ash sighs and says, "It is obvious, Insey has a childhood crush on Gary. Just like what I had forth Serena...I am kinda jealous of her since Gary joined us while Serena hasn't."

"Still, I still don't get why you are not going to kill her, she betrayed your trust after all." Trenor says.

"But I want her to join. And recently, I have something related to her that I need to discuss." Ash turns on the screen, "During one of the battles, I notice something strange with her." As he shows the footage of when Serena is fighting Keldeo with Delphox. Something strange happened and then Delphox is surrounded by the fire and then it defeats Keldeo with the Mystic Fire that shapes into a vortex.

"What the...I knew that Keldeo was now in the resting room healing himself because of his injuries, but that is how he got beaten?" Mark asks.

"Yes, it seems like not only my Greninja and Chesnaught, she has the potential of using the Bond Phenomenon with her Delphox, and this is an opportunity that I can't miss. With the prophecy, even though I hated her for doing that to me, she is going to be my Chosen one."

"Fair enough." Golly says. "But what are we going to do with her for now?"

Trenor says, "I think I have an idea."

Serena is now sitting at the bed, still watching the snow flowing outside, she starts to think about everything happened so far. When she heard that even Gary joined the team, her heart is swaying. She starts to wonder why she is still struggling and why she didn't give up even Ash told her to do it.

Ash opens the door again, Serena just turns around and she says coldly, "No matter how many times you ask, I am not going to join you."

Ash notices the tone and he knows that she is stubborn, but he takes a deep breath and he says, "Sometimes you are getting on my nerves, you know. But I could have Mewtwo control you for helping us out."

"Then why don't you do it?" Serena asks. "Won't that be easier for you?"

"Because I loved you, and I don't want to love a mindless machine created by myself." Ash says. "Now whether you like it or not, you are coming with us. I need some answers from you."

He then grabs Serena's arm, and just by that, she is blushing at the touch. But Serena decides to ignore her feelings and yells, "Hey, Let go of me!"

"Nope. I can't hear you." Ash says with a sing song tone as he takes her to the battlefield.

After that, Ash lets go of Serena's hand and she says, "Now what are you planning this time?"

"Isn't it obvious? This is a battlefield. I want you to send out your Delphox." Ash says.

"Why should I send it out?" Serena retorts. "Who do you think you are?"

Suddenly, a Water Shuriken is blasted into her face as Greninja appears besides Ash. Greninja just glares at Serena as Serena is shivering. Ash says, "You all know very well what Greninja can do. Send your Delphox out and we are going to settle this score."

Serena can only grits her teeth and then she sends out the Delphox. As Delphox sees Greninja, she wanted to hug him as she misses him, Greninja returns the hug for a second and then he tells her that they are going to have a battle.

"Delphox, what are you doing?" Serena asks as she sees how close she is with Greninja. Ash says, "It is obvious, they liked each other. And Delphox also agrees to have this battle, now call your move."

Serena groans as she feels that Delphox doesn't know the situation. She mutters, "Fine, Delphox, use Flamethrower."

Delphox uses the fire attack, but Greninja dodges. Greninja uses his Night Slash on Delphox, who uses the Reflect to reduce the damage.

"Use Fire Blast." Serena yells as the vortex of fire is surrounding the Pokemon. Ash says, "Hydro Cannon, reduce the fire damage."

The blast of water then stops the Fire Blast from attacking and then it injures Delphox. "Delphox, are you okay?" Delphox nods and Ash says, "We aren't going to hold back. Now let's get stronger and stronger."

Greninja now becomes the form of Ash Greninja and then Ash says, "Psychic Shuriken." Greninja then changes the Psychic energy into the pink shuriken and then hits Delphox. Serena asks, "How did you do that?"

"I am Arceus, I have all the plates and I am training Greninja with every type. Ever since Pikachu and the others are gone, Greninja is my only old Pokemon that stays by my side. Now show them your full power. Shadow Shuriken!" The Ghost type shuriken attack hits Delphox and now it is on the ground. Delphox is struggling to get up and Serena says, "I can't give up, Delphox, we have to be stronger and stronger!"

Just then, Delphox is surrounded by the Fire and Ash smirks, "This is what I want to see."

"Use Miracle Eye!" Serena yells as now Greninja is not immune to Psychic attacks, and then she asks Delphox to use Psyshock, which hurts Greninja and even giving Ash some damage."

"Not bad, but not enough, Night Slash." As Greninja slashes the fox Pokemon, Serena is also in pain as she realizes that she somehow activates the Bond Phenomenon.

"Delphox, right now our heart is one. Let's use our best move together! Future Sight."

Serena yells as the clock is now ticking, Ash says, "That move is not going to defeat me. Use Cut." The Delphox uses Teleport to dodge the attack and Greninja is still trying to attack.

"Now!" Serena yells as the Future Sight is going to attack, but Ash smirks, "Now, grab, Delphox." Ash says as Greninja grabs Delphox, causing the two of them taking the same damage. But in the end, Greninja is still standing and Delphox is fainted.

"It seems like I win." Ash says to Serena, who kneels down with both shock and pain. Ash says, "You can do Bond Phenomenon as well, that is why I bring you here."

"So? I admit that Delphox and I want to be stronger." Serena says while she is struggling to stand up. Ash leans on the wall and says, "Think about it, Lysandre tried to control me for this kind of power back then, and right now I wanted you to use this power to help our goal. How ironic is that."

Greninja then gives Delphox and medicine and she drinks it, making her feel better. Ash says to Serena, "Now that my questions are solved, I think it is pointless to make you as our hostage. Therefore, I am giving you a choice. You can choose to stay here and become one of our members, or you can leave this place and we will be enemies. Now what are you going to choose?"

Serena's mind is now conflicted. What Ash did is not right, but if she left him, all she did was making him worse. Serena's mind is now back at the summer camp, where Ash helped her from her knee injury, and then the time when they are in Coumarine City, where Ash gives her the blue ribbon.

And then Serena's mind is now Ash's smile, the smile that keeps her from going on. "I..."

Ash turns around and frowns, "Maybe this is the reason why you loved Calem back then, not because you were hypnotized. I am just an evil person who is selfish and twisted. You would be happier if you go back to those who took away everything I had. Greninja, bid farewell to Delphox, we are leaving."

Greninja looks at Delphox with sadness, and Delphox understands the situation. The words causes Serena to finally snap out of her thinking. She makes up her mind and says, "Wait Ash. I have decided." Ash stops walking and Serena takes a deep breath. "I want to join in your group."

Ash lowers his head and asks, "What is changing your mind? Why are you saying this so sudden? Are you sure you aren't lying to me?"

Serena shakes her head and says, "I never liked Calem from the beginning. I was being hypnotized. But then again, it doesn't matter if this excuse is real or not. It is still an excuse. But I loved you ever since we are little, and I am not going to change that."

Serena then shows the best smile on Ash, who gasps in surprise, it was the same smile that made him love her. He feels tears coming from his eyes and he says, "I am an idiot...in the end, she has to do that to me..."

Ash gives her a hand and holds her in his arms, he says, "Serena...I am sorry...for torturing you. But you did break my heart and I have a hard time trusting you now..."

Serena frowns a little and Ash says, "But, you are my chosen one, I hope that you can work hard to earn my trust back."

Serena gasps as she can't believe that Ash is hoping to trust her again. She nuzzles on his chest and mutters, "Thank you...Ash..."

Ash says, "Your welcome." And then he leaves, Delphox looks at Greninja, who nods back as they hug at each other. Happy of this turn of events. Serena feels like the stone in her heart is lighter, but not enough. She decides to do more for him from now on.

Here is a new chapter, and here is the battle of Ash versus Serena, and like my other stories, every Kalos Starters have the bond phenomenon. I hope you like this chapter and I am sorry if I added some unlearnable moves for the two Pokemon for story purposes.
