(Flashback)

One night, Ash, Mark, Minami, and Golly are heading back to the Sevestar Region from Alola since they're still on a quest to search for their missing siblings, and they hear someone calling for help.

"What is that?" Ash asks Minami. "I don't know. But it sounds like it is coming from there."

They follow the sound as they see a boy shivering at a tree. They rush up to the boy and then Ash asks, "Are you okay?"

Because the forest at night time is dark, the boy can't see their faces. He is a little terrified and he mutters, "Don't hurt me..."

Golly notices how the boy is scared, and she talks in a soft voice. "We aren't going to hurt you, but what are you doing here?"

"I...I'm lost...I don't know how to get back to the Orphanage..." The boy cries. The four of them look at each other and then Ash says, "Don't worry, we will help you."

Golly says, "Can you give us your name so we can help you?"

The boy hesitated for a while and then he says, "Trenor...that's my name..."

Much to the four's surprise, they can't believe that they're hearing. "Trenor? As in Trenor Ketchum?" Mark asks.

"What?" When the moon finally comes out from the clouds, they finally get to see each other's faces. They all gasp as Trenor says, "No way... Brother Ash? Brother Mark? Sister Minami? Sister Golly?"

They all share a family hug, Golly says, "We finally found you, Trenor. I'm glad..."

"But why did you come out of the orphanage?" Ash asks. "We were about to bring you back into our family."

Trenor reveals that he was often bullied because of his actions toward other people in the orphanage. Trenor says, "I've been waiting for you to come and bring me back home... I'm glad that my wait wasn't in vain..."

"We're sorry. We're really going to get you back home, but there is also a problem..." Ash then reveals the death of their mother and how he was being treated as a criminal. Just like the other siblings, Trenor is angry and he vows to help with the revenge.

When they manage to get back to the orphanage, the caretaker rushes to Trenor.

"There you are, do you know how worried we are?" The caretaker scolds Trenor, who lowers his head in shame. "Thank you for finding Trenor, um...Mr. and Ms.?"

"I am Red, and this is my siblings Mark, Minami, and Golly." Ash says. "The four of us were long-lost siblings of Trenor and we're bringing him back home."

This causes the caretaker to be delighted, she's glad to know that Trenor has his own family. The caretaker says, "I know that the children here like to gang up on him, but as your siblings, are you sure you can handle him?"

Mark says, "Don't worry, we promise that we can take care of him."

Then the Caretaker prepares the adoption papers, while Minami and Golly go with Trenor to clean up his stuff. The children are shocked to hear that Trenor has siblings, but that only fuels their disgust towards Trenor more because he 'deceived' everyone as an orphan. Trenor doesn't need to care about them because he knows that he'll be happier with his true family.

After Alice joins in the group, both she and Ash get two Rapidash from Adam and they decide to become the famous Rapidash Racers Yuma and Sandy. Trenor also likes Pokemon racing, so he joins the group as the three of them often compete in several races and win a lot of cups.

(Another Flashback)

"You're saying that Team Rainbow is entering the maze?" Ash asks Squishy, who nods and says, "What are you going to do?"

"We're going to chase them out." Ash says as they all head to the maze and intercept the meteor grunts and members. They find Agate and Emerald leading the grunts to battle, but there is someone that they are surprised to see.

"Mr. Phoenix? What are you doing here?" Ash asks after seeing the man in front of him. Phoenix says, "Oh, I just heard that there's a maze here and there is a treasure in the end. I was thinking if I should try and find the treasure."

"Are you sure that's your intention? I mean our other leaders are fighting against Team Rainbow, and you suddenly show up with them... isn't that a little suspicious?" Alice asks.

Phoenix says, "I'm sad to say that it is not a coincidence, and it is also fun playing with you guys."

Suddenly, more Team Rainbow grunts appear and surround the two of them. Phoenix says, "I hate to do this to an old friend of mine, but as a leader of Team Rainbow, we really need the Legend Plate."

"You're the leader of Team Rainbow?" Ash gasps before giving a scowl. "I trusted you and show you around the region so your company could help with the construction. But in the end, you're a leader who wanted the Legend Plate for your own greed?"

"Yes, and it is regretting. However, we need Arceus and his power to change types so we can fulfill our goal." Phoenix says. "I know that you two know where the Legend Plate is located, and I know that you won't give us any answers until we use force. So grunts."

The grunts are sending out their Pokemon, and Ash says, "Bristleon! I choose you!"

After sending out the Pokemon, Phoenix says, "So another Eeveelution..."

"Yes, the dark brown part of its brush-like tail can be hardened. With a quick, fast stroke, it can cut rocks. If you want it, just have your Eevee hold the soft stone and evolve during the day." Ash says, "Bulldoze!"

They make the whole maze shake, and at the other side, Mark groans, "Is Brother shaking the whole maze?"

"I just hope that he's not going to crash the ceiling. It won't be great to be buried alive..." Golly adds.

As for Alice, she also summons another Regi, and it is a Regi made out of sand. "Regigeo! Use Bide!"

The sand-made Regi goes for the Bide and when the other Pokemon attacks, it unleashes and defeats a lot of Pokemon.

"So that's another Regi..." Phoenix comments.

"Regigeo is made of sand and rocks, so it can hide itself in the desert with ease. Its ruins are also well hidden in the desert." Alice says, "Other than Clear Body, it has Sand Veil as the hidden ability, and this one has that."

Ash smirks and goes for Tyranitar and also creates the Sand Storm, which gives the Regigeo the evasive boost. After all of the grunts are defeated, Agate rush to Phoenix and asks, "Boss, our Pokemon has been beaten."

"And so are the grunts here. But no need to worry, the Legend Plate is not around here. Tell the grunts to retreat." Phoenix says as the grunts all run away.

Phoenix turns to Ash and says, "You may not like what we're doing, but sometimes necessary darkness is what keeps all of us moving along, and you have to admit that."

After Phoenix leaves, the others also gather around Ash, and Max says, "To think that Mr. Phoenix is the true leader of Team Rainbow..."

"I know it's hard to believe, but we will need to be more careful. We still have yet to find out what they want to do with Arceus and Legend Plate." Ash says while they stare at the place where Phoenix was standing.

(Flashback Ends)

Once the traitors are back at the stadium, they find that Trenor and Akari have already finished the gym battle, and both Ash and Alice are also there as they congratulate them for the battle.

Trenor says, "Brother, Aurora. Since you are here, how about doing one of the shows for the Champions and their chosen trainers?"

Ash says, "That sounds interesting. I guess we should do the Glastrier and Spectrier show?"

"Since we all have both, do you want Spectrier or Glastrier?" Alice asks.

"I'll go with Spectrier." Ash says, "Since you're good at Ice Types more than Ghost Types."

"What is the 'Spectrier and Glastrier' show?" Lance asks Diantha, who replies, "It is a great show, my son David filmed the show for me once, and it was great."

Just then, they find Ash and Alice entering the stage with their outfits similar to Calyrex, Ash's outfit is the same one as a few days ago when he was filming a movie, while Alice is much more yellow than Ash's since it is Shiny Calyrex.

Both of them are holding items, with Ash holding small ghost-like knives and Alice holding a large ice lance. Then they start to do some performances in the area.

"It was just like a contest battle!" Lyra says with a gasp after seeing the performance.

"Or a Showcase as well." Bonnie says. "Champion Red and Princess Aurora are really good at this."

Lillie says, "Champion Red and Princess Aurora are also top coordinators who manage to win a lot of Grand Festivals. There is no wonder he can do such a thing."

Trenor says, "Indeed. The performance is really amazing."

Serena is just staring at Alice, her mother is the famous Rhyhorn Racer, so she is confident that she can do the same tricks that Alice is doing, and she also dreams of doing the same performance with Champion Red, just thinking about it makes her a little happy.

"Aurora, are you ready for our next show?" Ash asks while pulling the reins of Spectrier.

"You bet." Alice says, and they all throw their items away, they start to jump into the air and stand on the backs of the horses, much to the others' surprise, since they could only see those in a circus act.

But things aren't going well as Alice suddenly feels pain in her heart as she accidentally falls down on her horse, causing the Champions to gasp, the one who is shocked the most is Ash, who quickly jumps off the horse and rushes towards Alice.

"Aurora! Are you okay?" Ash holds Alice in his arms, and she gives a weak smile and says, "I'm fine..."

But just after she says those words, she feels that her heart is aching again, she tries to show her toughness in front of Ash, but she fails and she passes out. Ash turns to Trenor and yells, "Trenor, call Tox here immediately! Champion Diantha, please call your Gym Leaders Valerie and Wulfric! This is a serious problem! We need to get her treated!"

The two of them nod as they all do the same, as for the Champions, Ash has Adam take them away from the stadium as they all leave. The traitors and Serena wants to stay because of specific reasons, but they are also dragged away by the other Champions and trainers.

"Alice...please...hold yourself together." Ash says, he knows that it might be Violet Depression that is corroding Alice's heart, he hopes that she isn't going to die today, or else he will be too depressed as well.
