Summary:

Y/N has been best friends with Jamie Oleksiak for a good few years. Every year is the same thing, he leaves for the summer, they keep in touch, she misses him like crazy and can't wait till he gets back. Expecting this year to be no different, she's surprised when a box shows up at her door. After realizing the contents are thirteen letters from her best friend, each one sealed in an envelope with a date on it, she contemplates how they got there, if she should open them and if she should contact him. She decided to open them.

Prologue:

"Can't you stay this summer?" I giggle as I wrap my best friend in a hug.

"Maybe you could come with me" Jamie looked at me seriously pulling away but still keeping me in his arms.

"I wish, but you know I can't do that" I say to him sadly.

He wraps me in another tight hug. I could feel his body take a deep breath against mine.

"It'll go fast, dinner the first night I'm back?" He asked not releasing me.

"I better get to see you the first night you're back" I laughed pulling away.

"You'll be my first stop" he smiled.

"Looking forward to it" I grinned giving him one more quick hug before he left.

I prepared myself for a summer of work and missing Jamie. Little did I know there was more in store for me in a package that would make it's way to my doorstep in a weeks time.
