Fireheart was happy. The school dance was next week planned on asking out Sandstorm.

Sandstorm was as close as you could get to perfection. She had a fiery attitude and had a no-nonsense life. She was headstrong and steadfast and never backed down from a challenge.

Fireheart could imagine her beautiful blond hair and striking green eyes.

As Fireheart walked into the classroom, everything was glum. The bullies were silent. The Queen Bees didn't have a smug smile on their faces. The cheerleaders were crying. The jocks looked weak and vulnerable. Some people weren't even at school.

Fireheart grabbed a seat next to one of his friends. "Hey, Onewhisker. Where's Sandstorm?"

Onewhisker looked at him with a sad and confused look. "Fireheart. Sandstorm committed suicide yesterday."
