Ash meets a Hunter named J and she has been using Cement Cannons to poach Pokemon, even though she is not related to any of the evil teams, Ash also vows to bring her to justice as well.

For Ash and Lillie's new Sinnoh Fairy Type Pokemon, they manage to hatch a Togepi egg and train it to become a Togekiss in the end. For Grass Type Pokemon, they capture a Snover and evolve it into an Abomasnow in the end.

While in the Galar Region, Ash manages to defeat both Hulbury and Motostoke Gym with ease. For Galar Water Type Pokemon, they capture a Chewtle that evolves into Drednaw at Route 2. They also capture a Sobble, who likes to cry a lot. When evolving into Drizzile, it is depressed because it wants to be an Inteleon. But after training, it becomes a powerful Inteleon. They also work with a scientist named Cara Liss, and they accidentally get two new fossil Pokemon: Dracovish and Arctozolt.

For Galar's Fire Type Pokemon, they capture a Scorbunny who has been working with Nickits to steal food, and they train the Pokemon and evolve it into a Raboot and then Cinderace. They also capture a Sizzlipede during the gym mission and evolve it into a Centiskorch in the end.

When they arrive at Eterna Forest, Ash feels uneasy because Arceus tells him that one of Team Rocket's Cyborg Bases is actually in Eterna Forest. After creating a fake self in a hurry, Ash meets up with Lillie as they arrive at the Old Chateau.

"So this is where Team Rocket and the Cyborg are located...this sure is surprising." Lillie says. "Who would have thought that they would have their base here?"

"But we have to stop them. Let's get inside and see what's with the Cyborg." Ash says.

They find the Cyborg, he's wearing a helmet that has strange plants on it, and the mechanical parts are also surrounded by vines. Ash says, "Looks like we have our target."

"The name's Trenton. Team Rocket gave me a new life and I'm going to show you why plants are scary." The cyborg says as he suddenly glows, and much to their surprise, the vines and plants appear as they start to tangle around them.

"What power..." Lillie says while trying to get rid of the vines that are tangling her, Ash is also doing the same. "This one is Grass Type..."

"What's wrong? Looks like I'm getting the upper hand here." Trenton says, but Ash smirks as suddenly, Ash glows red while the plants surrounding him are burnt into ashes. "What the..."

Ash's hand is holding the Cannon of Fire and says, "Simple, I use Overheat to destroy the plants. Take this!"

The Cannon shoots out a giant fire, Trenton widens his eyes and dodges the attack. "That was Fire Blast...how could a mere human like you..."

"We are not mere humans." Lillie says while taking out an Arrow and a Bow. Shooting in the air to create Hail and destroy the plants. "We are given the power to stop you. Since we all can use Pokemon moves, why don't we settle this in an old-fashioned way?"

"Interesting. But you will never win against me because my machines also give me the power of the Legendary Pokemon." Trenton says as he goes for the Seed Flare, dealing a lot of damage to Ash and Lillie.

"Seed Flare...so he must have absorbed some powers of Shaymin..." Ash mutters with rage, and he changes into Horn of Bug and goes for X-Scissor, and the attack also causes a lot of damage. And Trenton goes for Jungle Healing to heal the damage Ash deals with.

"Now you see my power? That's why I'm not like those other lowly grunts who can't even finish a single thing." Trenton says.

"It also learns the move from Zarude..." Lillie mutters while changing into Fire Type and goes for Will-o-Wisp, burning Trenton.

"Not bad, but I know all of you, Ash Ketchum. You have been a thorn on our side for so long." Trenton says.

"I assume those three idiots tell you guys about me?" Ash says.

"They might be useful for telling us all about you, however, you're not going to get out of here alive." Trenton says as he charges at them with Leaf Blade.

At the same time, Ash's fake self, Dawn, and Brock are helping a girl named Cheryl to find the Amber Castle with the Vespiquen honey. Dawn notices the explosion and asks, "What's going on there?"

"It seems like somebody is fighting there. Should we check it out?" Brock asks.

Ash says, "I don't think it is a good idea, maybe there is a Pokemon Battle. I don't think it will be nice to interrupt. And more importantly, we have to follow the Mothim, right?"

Dawn and Brock are still hesitating, but they also agree with Ash as they continue to find Amber Castle.

Back at the Old Chateau, Trenton is now falling on the floor with his body on fire, and Ash says, "It seems like we've overdone it..."

Looker also finds a report on the ground and he says, "Ash, Lillie. I think you have to read this, I guess it is some sort of profile of this guy."

Trenton: Age:16. Born: Sinnoh. When he was little, he likes to grow plants and take good care of them. However, with the construction workers and other people, the plants are destroyed and his home is the same. Feeling angry, he wanted to revenge on those people, thus joining Team Rocket after learning what they have done to kill heartless people. After joining Team Rocket, he becomes one of the testers of the Cyborgs. His typing and code name are "Grass" He also absorbs the power of the Legendary and Mythical Pokemon of Grass Type for Team Rocket. The Weakness of the Cyborg is that it can't stand the fire.

"It was pretty much abandoned, and there might be some ghosts inside. But we have Arceus' helping us chase the Ghosts away and make it our mansion, don't you think?"

Arceus coughs and says, "Am I hearing it right? Do you want me to chase away the Ghost Pokemon living in this place? But then again, with what Team Rocket has done, I don't think the Ghost Type Pokemon would want to stay here anymore. Besides, I owe you for stopping that Cyborg."

Lillie nods as they share a hug before bidding farewell, and the International Police also leave while swearing not to tell others about what they've seen.

After leaving Amber Castle, Ash, Dawn, and Brock notice the smoke in the middle of the Eterna Forest, and Brock asks, "What is that?"

"It might be someone having a barbeque. Let's not think about it." Ash says, wanting to get away as far as possible.

"If you say so." Dawn says, and then they leave Eterna Forest as quickly as possible. And during the travels, Ash manages to capture a Buizel in the team, but he doesn't listen to him until they have the Elite Four member Lucian to help him out. And they also get caught in the mess of what happened in Alamos Town, Dialga and Palkia are fighting together for unknown reasons.

Once they use the song of Oracion to stop them from fighting, Ash secretly heads to Sevestar Island and finds Lillie there, Arceus also summon Dialga and Palkia. Lillie says, "I heard what happened back in Alamos Town, why did Dialga and Palkia fight back then?"

Arceus frowns, "It might be an accident, their dimensions were intersected. They thought that the others are invading their territory."

"Seriously..." Ash mutters. "Just for the small reason?"

"I might have a part in intersecting their dimensions...considering it has been 1000 years since then." Arceus says.

"1000 years since what?" Lillie asks. Arceus shakes her head and says, "There's nothing to worry about. You just need to focus on your training and traveling."

After getting back to their own time, Ash continues to travel with Brock and the others as they meet the Champion Cynthia, Paul tried to battle her but lost, and they also meet Gary, where they try to protect the Shieldon from Hunter J together.

Lillie replies. "How is your ribbon getting?"

"I got 2 ribbons already, and I also got 2 badges in Sinnoh." Ash says, "I was planning on challenging the Hearthome Gym, but the leader isn't there."

"If I remember...The leader of Hearthome is Fantina, and I think she's a Ghost Type Leader." Lillie says.

"Ghost Type...I see." Ash sighs. "Speaking of improvement, how is your first day on the job as a model?" Ash asks.

"It was amazing, though I have to disguise myself so that my Mom and my Brother would see it." Lillie sighs. "I mean, being a model is not that easy, considering I have to do some poses and stay still while the photographers get the best shot. Some of the clothes are also uncomfortable as well."

"That sounds like a harsh job, but I'm sure you'll be a perfect model." Ash smiles.

"Thank you, Ash. What about you as a Fashion Designer?" Lillie asks.

"A little tiring and I'm trying not to hurt my fingers while sewing the clothes." Ash says. "I have been wanting to sew the best dress for you. But right now it is not finished yet because of how complicated it is."

"I'm looking forward to the day I wore your dress." Lillie smiles.

Then they decide to train some more before heading back to the Sinnoh Region. Ash attends the Hearthome City Tag Battle Competition with Paul as his partner, and he captures Chimchar because Paul decides to abandon it because he is worthless, which is something that Ash can't really put up with. Even Arceus can see a lot of potential in Chimchar, and he also thinks that Chimchar can help them with the Fighting Type Aura, which turns out to be the Gloves of Fighting. Ash also captures a Gligar who has been crashing into him a lot of times.

While secretly with Lillie, they continue to capture new Pokemon. For Sinnoh's Dark Type Pokemon, Ash and Lillie capture a Murkrow during nighttime and use a Dusk Stone to evolve it into a Honchkrow. By traveling to the past with the help of Celebi, they capture an ancient Hisuian Qwilfish, by having it use 20 Barb Barrages, it evolves into Overqwil. And they also find a Sneasel in the snowy area of Sinnoh and evolve it into a Weavile using Razor Claw at night.

"So you're also going to join our team?" Ash and Lillie meet the same Darkrai from Alamos Town, and he wants to join their team. "Welcome to the team, Darkrai."

The Darkrai gives them the Pokeball before leaving, and Lillie says, "I hope we're not going to get a lot of nightmares from it..."

"Don't worry about it, I'm sure he won't." Ash says.

For Sinnoh's Psychic Type Pokemon, Ash and Lillie capture a Kirlia that evolves into a Gallade with a Dawn Stone, and a Bronzor near Solaceon Ruins which evolves into a Bronzong after training. And for Fighting Type Pokemon, Ash feels an aura from a Pokemon Egg, and the egg turns out to be a Riolu, and by training with Cinderace, it becomes a Lucario and also Sir Aaron's Lucario's student. They also travel back to the past and capture a Hisuian Sneasel, they also use the Razor Claw during daytime to evolve it into a Sneasler. And they also capture a Petilil and evolve it into a Lilligant of that time.

They also decide to relax from the gym challenge in Galar and go for the Wild Area hunt. For Normal Type Pokemon, they capture a Galarian Zigzagoon and train the Pokemon to become Obstagoon in the end. For Electric Type Pokemon, they get a Toxel from the Day Care and evolve it into a Low-Key form Toxtricity, and they also find a Morpeko who is always hungry all the time.
