Introducing Zel, the first character of 2024!
I named him after the guy in the Weaver Trilogy (read it it's great I promise) because WHAT HOW DID THAT BOOK ALMOST MAKE MY CRY I DONT UNDERSTAND but anyways! Zelyth was my favorite from the series and also I thought it'd be a cool name to base off of.

The idea I'm playing with is, there are a bunch of magic crows called Traveler Crows that can cross distant kingdoms and islands in flocks (and are honored as mystic beings). But the ones that aren't satisfied with having to be in a flock for the rest of their very long, immortal existences can leave and start their own lives elsewhere. I don't really have a reason why Zel's a cat, maybe the first thing he saw in Kiria was a cat and he was like "yes, this is my new form now."
All the crows are technically shapeshifters, but only the rogues/rebels take advantage of it.
It could also be an acronym maybe?

W - Worlds
Or something?? I dunno it's a work in progress.
