It's a little busy today in that little coffee shop. Perhaps due to the festive happen at the centre of the town, many people came by for refreshments. Plus its caffeine we talk about, common source of energy fuel.

Like always, the soft jazz in the background fill up the room along with chatters from the customers. But her ears instinctively waiting for a certain bell sound from the door.

3 o'clock.

He waltz in, a smile plastered on his face as he approaching the counter. Every steps he took to arrive, her heart thump harder, louder.

"Like the usual." he spoke as she just nodded, pulling out her marker and a cup. "Today's name?"

"Date with question mark."

"D-A-T-E-?"

"Yes, I am soooo happy that you finally ask me out!" he grinned wider. She can't help but to crack a small smile.

"Too bad. I don't date strangers."

His eyes softened, for a second she felt guilt pang in her chest when he look at her back with hurt in his eyes. But like as quick as it appears, its vanished in his eyes.

"Funny, that you remember a stranger's fav drink." he mutters as she placed the order on the counter. Air remained quiet. Is he? Is he a stranger by now?

"But a friend won't hide their names."

"I didn't ask you to be my friend though?" he said.

What his motive, what he want, what's the point with all of this that he find all his way, wasting his money on caffeine just to date her? A normal girl, a waitress in a local, no one care of a coffee shop.

"Why me?"

"I'll tell you." he paused, leaning closer over the counter "only if you agree to go on a date with me."

"You're stubborn." Air deadpanned, fiddling with the straws at the counter. He shrugged. "Only for you though."

She wheezed. "Shush. Now go, I have work to do." Air poke his arm away from the counter using a straw. He laughed, staring at her eyes one last time before turning his back and walking out the shop. "What a creep."

"Friends, huh?"

smirk.
