+ IF YOU'RE TIRED OF FIGHTING ON YOUR OWN,
IF YOU'RE TIRED OF FEELING ALL ALONE.. I'LL BE
YOUR HOME. [ philip laroue - i'll be your home ]

"It's so empty." Blaze states the obvious, pushing around the candy stick in his mouth as the three of them explored the vicinity. They've been through the entire first floor, finding completely no traces or evidence that would lead them to Solar. "Is this building abandoned?"

Cyclone scours, skipping through the halls ahead of them, arms extended as if he was flying, "Well, I don't see no one!" He chirps, attentive blue eyes scanning the area, "Maybe we're in the wrong building."

"No." Thunderstorm cuts in, "We're in the right place."

"You sure?" Blaze asks, cocking a brow up. It's true; what Cyclone said. They've been climbing the enormous tower for hours now, and getting no information out of it. "I think that we're in the wr-"

"Do you really want to know how I know?"

"How?" The Third Wonder sneers, "If we're wrong, it's on you."

The Second Wonder scoffs, "The info came from your brother."

Thunder smirks in victory, leaving the fuming human boy behind. Blaze's mouth snaps open. Cyclone stares at them both, confused as to why the latter's face had turned entirely red like a tomato.

"Hoh!" The Fifth Wonder lolls his head, stopping in his tracks. "Maybe we've been going in circles. After all, I keep on seeing the same paintings over and over again! This is getting boring!"

"Paintings?" Blaze blinks, his anger dissipating in an instant.

"Yeah!" Cyclone nods, turning around and pointing his index finger at a picture nailed onto the wall next to them. They all stepped close, inspecting the ink painting, "I keep on seeing it."

"Odd." Thunderstorm chides, putting a finger on his chin.

"I don't think I've seen that before." Blaze scratches his cheek, out of habit, a little flustered on the fact that he hadn't been paying attention to his surroundings. "Maybe it's a secret passageway! Just like in those Barbie princess movies.."

"Seriously, Blaze? Barbie movies?"

"Don't judge me!" The boy shouts, face burning this time from embarrassment, "Well, sorry I'm not at least a hundred years old!" He crosses his arms with a huff, "At least I gave you an idea."

"I think it's worth a try!" Cyclone beans, slinging his arms over their shoulders, using his free hands to touch the painting. Unexpectedly, it did nothing as he accidentally washes the paint away, staining his fingers. "Aw, man! Looks like there's no secret passage."

"Back to square one." The Second Wonder grunts, raising his weapon.

"W-Wait!" His brother exclaims, letting them go, "What are you doing?!"

"Ripping it open. What else?"

"Hold on, will ya?! Stop being so reckless!" Blaze puts a controlling hand on Thunder's shoulder, preventing him from doing anything further. "We came here to save Solar," He growls, "Not to destroy property. Can't you think of anything else?"

"Shut it, you brainless idiot." Shrugging the grip off, a burst of red electricity surrounds the Wonder's body. "Don't stop me."

Cyclone closes both eyes, sighing, "Blaze, step away."

"Wha-?! You too, Cycy?! I thought that you were with me on this! What if he destroys the entire building, and then kill us, and SOLAR in the process of it?!"

"He won't." The blue-eyed boy's expression turned serious, and the said boy gulps at the sight of a malicious glint, "I trust my brother." Cyclone looks at Blaze from the end of his eye, "Aren't you supposed to trust those you call family, too?"

Family. Blaze grits his teeth. "Cih! Fine."

He steps away as they said, letting himself stand with a safe distance away from the duo. He hasn't witnessed their true powers, yet. Ice's voice rang in his head, Thunderstorm? I've known him for so long.. Ah, he's been there longer than I have.

"Really?" He hears the sliver of his own voice.

Yep, his brother answers, as the both of them sit on the ironed duvets of the bed. If you were referring to their entire fight in the conference room, then don't worry. Cyclone's not as weak as you think. He's better than that. Way better, than us.

Blue and red static started to appear around the siblings, powers conjoined into one. Blaze clutches the railing to stable himself, as he remembers the next words that came into his mind.

If you think that they were both fighting in full power against each other, then you've been deceived. Ice had warned them before they left for the mission, Be careful with them.

"Huh? What do you mean?" He had asked his brother.

Ice turns to him, in his imagination, "Why do you think they're inseparable, even after all these years? Why do you think that the spirit Thunderstorm, could have the human Cyclone by his side after centuries of living?" His question was never answered properly.

The sound of ripping echoes through the air, so loud that it became deafening. Blaze watches as the large, Chinese canvas splits into a million pieces, almost in slow motion. His eyes widened, alongside the other two, seeing the hole in the middle.

"A secret tunnel?" Cyclone grins, with interest, "Awesome!"

"Looks like your Barbie movies paid off," Thunderstorm spins on his heels, lowering his head with a mocking snicker, "Good job, newbie." He clicks his tongue, letting hair cascade over his glowering red eyes. "Ready to meet your family again?"

"M-My.." Blaze stutters, "My what?"

Cyclone claps both hands, eyes turning to crescents. Something about his growing smile had something else, other than joy or happiness. "Your family!" He chirps, "Don't you think that it's time for you to know your entire story?"

Ice's silhouette appears in his mind. Be careful.

The words caught up his throat, "I.. I don't know what.."

"Of course you don't!" Cyclone's grin widens, and to the boy, it looked almost evil. "You lost your memories, remember~? Now, off we go to the other side! Don't die on me, Blazie!"

Before Blaze could protest, Thunderstorm was behind him, lifting him up with both hands. "Have fun." The Wonder says, emotionless, "Say hello to your family for me, and good luck finding Solar in there." A small smirk etches on his face.

As he was being thrusted into the hole in one move, Blaze couldn't help but let his thoughts finally run wild in his head. Hundreds of questions filled themselves in, as the two brother figures waves at him, his vision slowly turning white in the process.

Who exactly are they? He asks the emptiness around him.

The only answer was his shrilled, pained scream.
