She was having a mission with her three other friends, but she can't seem to keep her head in the game. How could she? The last time she went on a mission, there were four of her friends. She was always beside the one who died.

She heard a call. She ran beside her humanoid alien friend. Once she was at his side, he pointed at a volcano in front of the group were very near to the lava had been a ball, similar to the power sphere they have to retrieve.

Her elemental friend tried using his vines but they kept burning. He used his winds but the ball didn't budge. He used his icy vines but the vines kept melting. He used the vine and her Indian friend manipulated the molecules to resemble metal molecules but the metallic vines kept melting. Her alien friend tried to use make a shadow bird but the lava kept bubbling and smothered the bird, causing the bird to disappear.

It had been hopeless.

The girl tried to find the answer. Her dead friend would help them retrieve the power sphere by flying down to hold the power sphere and fly back up in ease, but she had been dead. The girl closed her eyes as she can feel the tears threatening to fall.

"I'll retrieve it myself," her alien friend volunteered. "I can turn into a dragon and it's broad daylight, albeit cloudy and stormy but still there."

"Are you sure?"

"Positive. Shadow dragon!" He conjured before morphing with the dragon. Now the boy and the dragon are one. He flew above the sky first before diving down the crater to where the power sphere is. His claws grabbed the power sphere at ease as she can hear him exclaimed, "so easy!"

If only it had been.

The bubbling lava kept threatening him and the dragon knew he had to save himself or all this would be for nought. He turned facing upwards as he tried flying up, but the lava smothered his dragon form, forcing the dragon form to disappear and leaving the boy in his original form. The lava bubbled and hit his left hand, burning it and burning the power watch. He had screamed in absolute pain, not being able to conjure anything else.

Her other friend had tried using his vines to reach out for the burning friend, but he had thrown the power sphere so high with his basketball skills that instead of catching the friend, it had wrapped itself around the power sphere and jumped back to the original shooter.

The girl screamed louder as her humanoid alien friend fell down the lava, smothered down in the thick red liquid. Her Indian friend immediately hugged her other friend who nearly fell down the crater as they both cried in anguish.

The girl had never felt more useless before in her life. She had been so distracted by her dead friend that she didn't think of helping her other friends in this mission. Look at now.

Why can't she save her friend?
