The three brothers left the living room and went up the stairs as fast as they could. When they got to their room, Spruce opened the closet. He then went inside and began randomly choosing plenty of his winter-related clothes, including Clay's and Floyd's.

Once Spruce was done, he wiped his forehead and said to his younger brothers, "Okay, so I picked out lots of clothes for each of us to wear while we're out in the cold."

"Wait, you're kidding," Clay said with a shocked look on his face.

"Dude, it's extremely chilly outside!" Spruce said to Clay. "Do you really want to become a frozen statue?"

Clay shook his head rapidly.

"And now, I'll ask you both this," Spruce told Clay and Floyd. "Do you want to find JD?"

"Yes," Clay and Floyd said in sync.

"That's more like it," Spruce said, giving them two thumbs up. "Well, there's no time to waste! Let's...get...ready!"

So Spruce, Clay, and Floyd put on three warm snowsuits, three warm jackets, six warm mittens, six warm socks, and one pair of very warm boots of their own choice. Clay decided to grab his yellow sled, just in case. Then Spruce, Clay, and Floyd got out of their room, through the hallway, went downstairs, out into the snow, and followed their oldest brother's footprints.

Spruce, Clay, and Floyd walked and walked and walked and walked. Finally, they found John Dory. He was leaning against a tree. Clay gave Spruce his sled, went close to the tree, and yelled, "JD, WAKE UP!"

But John Dory did not move.

Clay yelled again, this time, in his loudest possible voice, "JD, WAKE UP!"

John Dory still did not move.

Clay tried to pick up John Dory, but he was too heavy.

Spruce put down Clay's yellow sled. He pushed John Dory onto the sled and pulled him home, using the amount of strength he could muster. Luckily, Clay and Floyd were here to back him up.

When the brothers all got home safe and sound, Spruce got John Dory off the sled, took it, and he, Clay, and Floyd went upstairs to their room, into the closet, and took off their winter gear and shoes. Clay put his sled in a fair spot. After that, they got out of the closet, out of their room, through the hallway, and downstairs. With all his might, Spruce grabbed hold of John Dory's feet and pulled him up the stairs. Spruce's younger brothers helped him again.

As the brothers reached the bathroom, Spruce put John Dory in the tub, and turned on the warm water. The tub filled up:
🛁 Glug — glug — glug — glug — glug... 🛁

Meanwhile, Clay snickered, while Floyd looked away.

Soon, John Dory jumped up, ran around the bathroom three times and went back to bed.

Spruce said, "This is getting crraaazy! Guys, we're going to do something."

So he and his two younger brothers went to find a long rope. Spruce tied one end to John Dory's top bunk bed (above Clay's bottom bunk bed), and Clay tied one end to John Dory's leg. Then, Spruce, Clay, and Floyd went to sleep peacefully:
❤️💛💜 Zzzzz — zzzzz — zzzzz — zzzzz. 💜💛❤️

CREAK!

They woke up! They heard a sound. Floyd said, "What was that, what was that, what was that, what was that?!"

"Floyd, I'm pretty sure it's just the rope," Spruce said, sitting up in his bed and rubbing his eyes. "I'll go check on JD myself. You and Clay need to get some rest. I know I need it too, but I'll be back in bed as soon as possible."

"Okay," Floyd said before he let out a yawn. "Nighty night."

Clay also yawned. "Yeah, good night, Spruce," he said.

The two young trolls then fell fast asleep. Carefully, Spruce got off of his top bunk bed and went out of the room to go check on John Dory. Before he did, he looked back at Clay and Floyd, who were now sleeping in their respective bottom bunk beds. He smiled and quietly said to them, "Sleep well, lil' bros."

Sure enough, Spruce left the room. He began following the rope, hoping to see where it led to. Turns out, it actually led to the kitchen! He opened the door...

And there was John Dory, stuck in the middle of the floor because of the rope around his leg.

"Good," said Spruce. "That is the end of sleepwalking. Now I can get some sleep."

And so he got out of the kitchen, went upstairs, and back to bed.

In the middle of the night, Grandma Rosiepuff was asleep:
Zzzzz — zzzzz — zzzzz — zzzzz.

THUD! 🪑

She woke up! She heard a sound. She said, "What was that, what was that, what was that, what was that?!"

Rosiepuff got out of her bed. When she left her room, she was in complete shock!

A rope?! she thought. Who in the world would do such a thing like this?!

When she followed the rope to the kitchen, she opened the door...

And there, much to her surprise...she saw not one, but two of her grandsons, John Dory, who was now sleeping on the floor...and Clay...who was sleeping on the countertop. Because he walked in his sleep, just like his oldest brother.

The End
