In the throne room, Leo says, "If Ray's soul is only inside Hiiragi Yuzu this whole time, then Zarc and Zarine's souls are also inside Sakaki Yuya and Yuni's bodies...that's why Sakaki Yuya has to be dealt with first..."

In the training room, the students are facing Sanders and one student says, "Salute the instructor!"

After saluting, Sanders says, "Students. I have a Special lesson for you elite students, who have earned the top grades in Academia. The target is an enemy to Academi called the Lancers. Right now they are on our island and getting closer to Academia. Let's use them as a jump-off point on your path to becoming full Duel Soldiers!"

He is showing the footage of the Synchro Groups. And back outdoors, Yugo's group and Rin's group are there as Crow says, "I thought they'd give us a warm welcome when we landed, but it's too quiet."

"Maybe they heard of the Great Sawatari Shingo, the man who succeeded in both the City and Heartland! Maybe they ran away!" Sawatari says.

Mark says, "No, they're here."

Tsukikage says, "Indeed. We are..."

Then they are surrounded by a lot of students in Osiris Red Uniforms. Aki says, "So they have been waiting for us..."

"Defeat them at once in Battle Royale Mode." Another student says.

"Academia duelists can take them one-on-one just fine." The third student says.

Then Sanders strikes his whip on the table and says, "The first mission is not destroying them! I said CAPTURE THEM!"

"Yes, sir! We're sorry sir!" All the students say.

"Whatever. How would you carry out a capture operation?" Sanders asks. "Watch carefully!"

Back with the duel, all of the monsters are destroyed by the Lancers, with each of them using their Ace Monsters to defeat them. Sawatari notices that they are running away and he yells, "Hey! I didn't get my chance to shine!"

"They're getting away!" Michael says.

"After them!" Yugo yells.

"As expected from Osiris Red Students..." Mark mutters.

But just as they move forward, Tsukikage stops and says, "Oh no! Wait! Right in front of us is an enemy..."

"Trap Activate: Big Haul!" Just then, all 10 of them are captured in nets. Ruka says, "Oh no...we've been made!"

"Damn it..." Aki mutters.

"In hindsight, it was obvious the moment they suddenly ran away that they had a trap. I've screwed up!" Tsukikage says.

"Mission complete! We've captured all 10!" One student says to Sanders.

Sanders picks 10 students and he says, "You five are the strongest in the strongest class I have ever trained. You five and the prisoners will be sent into the arena. You will put your lives on the line in a Survival Duel. This is not training! It's a battle! You are modern gladiators! Let your fighting spirit burn, and survive! Devour them and make them part of your flesh and blood! Win and reach the top! GLORY ON THE ACADEMIA!"

"GLORY ON THE ACADEMIA!" The students yell. But Sanders has prepared an ultimate masterpiece that is waiting for them.

Just then, the ten of them are taken to the Training Fields, and Mark says, "Isn't this where Risu's group is supposed to conquer?"

"It seems that they are not here yet." Yugo says, "So we might as well finish their job."

"This is Academia's pride. A holy ground where Duel Soldiers are born." Sanders appears in front of them and says.

"So he must be the commander." Michael says.

"Today, let me entertain you with a fantastic idea." Sanders says.

"What an asshole! How dare you bring us here?" Sawatari yells.

"I'm having you be teaching material for our Academia's Special lesson." Sanders says. "You ten will engage in a Battle Royale with our five most elite students! Until there is only one left standing!"

"Until there is only one? You guys are going to fight each other too?" Ruka asks.

"Correct. This is a Survival Duel, where you fight with your lives on the line." Sanders says.

"Don't tell me, the losers will be carded..." Gongenzaka says.

"Of course. This is the Special lesson to produce the ultimate soldier after all." Sanders replies. "I can't force you to participate, but then you'll just get carded without being able to resist!"

"What's the problem with that? We have-" Before Sawatari can continue, Rin covers her mouth and says, "Did you forget what Yuni said? We can't reveal our secrets!"

"My top students! What Academia needs from you are soldiers! Not students with high grades!" Sanders says. "Become the strongest of the strong! I shall pray for your success in battle! GLORY ON THE ACADEMIA!"

"GLORY ON THE ACADEMIA!" The 10 students yell.

"Let's go! Field Magic: Jungle of Predators – Predator Jungle!" Sanders activates the Magic Field, turning the inside dome to be covered in a jungle. And all 10 of the duelists activate their Duel Disks and the Crossover platforms are formed.

"GO! Begin the Survival Duel!" Sanders says.

Mark says, "A Survival Duel where only one survives..."

"So even if we don't card them, the losers will still be carded by Academia?" Gongenzaka asks.

"This is absurd! I can't accept this!" Yugo yells.

"Then you're fine just standing there and letting them card you? Fusion?" Sawatari asks.

"IT'S NOT FUSION, IT'S YUGO!" Yugo yells at Sawatari.

The students are already taking action as they charge into the forest, and the Lancers continue their conversation. Crow says, "Sawatari is right. In order to help Yuya and the others, we have to survive and get out of here someho-"

Before he can finish, Tsukikage already moves forward. "Tsukikage!" Rin yells.

"It's important to know the enemy's movements. You all stay here." Tsukikage says as he leaves. While jumping on trees, Tsukikage thinks, "It's because of my mistake that my allies are in danger. Now that it's come to this, I will stop the enemy's movements by myself. I'll give my allies a chance to escape!"

But unknown to them, a pair of yellow eyes are watching. Sanders is watching the monitor and says, "They've started moving. The special lesson is about to begin. Today, you students will witness the birth of the strongest soldier. Burn this Duel into your eyes!"

"Yes sir!" The students say.

Tsukikage is running as he notices the shadow. He says, "I see it. The eyes of a beast watching me like prey..."

Just then, they hear a scream, and Gongenzaka asks, "Did someone lose?"

"Does that mean Tsukikage..." Ruka asks.

"Let's go!" Yugo says as they all rush forward, only to find 3 carded members of Academia on the ground.

"T-this is..." Rin asks. "Did Tsukikage card all three of them?"

"I don't know...or maybe the other students carded them." Michael says.

"Who's there?" Mark notices the bush shaking and yells, and two Academia members are shocked as they try to run. Sawatari yells, "Get back here! Don't get away!"

"Sawatari!" Crow and Michael chase after him, and Gongenzaka yells, "Don't go off on your own!"

Sanders is watching the monitor and he mutters, "Three are gone already, huh...He's just as haphazard as ever."

"Hey, the screen displayed the Lost signal for a moment. What happened?" One student asks.

"There was no one near them. Maybe it's a bug?" Another student asks.

"Well, it shows 18 players active..."

"However, there's still 7 of them. The elites will definitely make it..." Sanders thinks.

Just then, Sawatari is trying to chase after the students, and he says, "Where did that guy go?" Then he realizes that he is seperated. "Where's Yugo and the others?"

"Did we lose them? Damn it, Sawatari?" In another part, Crow and Michael are trying to find Sawatari.

"Sawtari! Crow! Michael! Where are you?" Rin yells.

"I told them not to go on their own..." Gongenzaka mutters.

"Where the hell did that Academia student go?" Sawatari yells. "Oi! Stop hiding and come out! No matter how many of you are there, I'll crush you!"

Just then, on top of him, Tsukikage and an unknown duelist are fighting, and the shurikens land in front of Sawatari, causing him to be panicked.

"W-what was that? What was that just now?" Sawatari says.

At the same time, Crow and Michael are also trying to find others, Michael says, "To think that a Survival Duel where only one gets to survive is a lesson..."

"These Academia guys are more rotten than Security." Crow mutters.

Just then, Michael is hit by an attack, and Crow asks, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine...who did a sneak attack on me?" Michael looks up and sees that Tsukikage is running away from something.

Tsukikage is kicked to the ground but manages to grab a vine and swings on top of a ruined structure. "Then I'll attack with Twilight Chunin - Nichirin! Go! Battle! Nichirin!"

The Monster throws a shuriken at a part of the forest, creating an explosion. Tsukikage asks, "Did I do it?"

Just then, red feathers are hitting at Tsukikage's monsters destroying them, but Tsukikage manages to land on the ground before the attack hits, and says, "I set one card and end my turn."

Just then, two more Academia members appear and they try to get into the duel, but they are attacked by the unknown enemy and are turned into cards.

"What? He's not an ally?" Tsukikage gasps in surprise as they see two more cards on the ground.

"What is he?" Tsukikage asks, only to see a Monster behind him.

"Two more students are also defeated after intruded..." One bystander student says.

"Why? Intrusion is one thing, but no one has even started Dueling yet." Another student asks.

"Could it be that someone was defeated when that signal appeared a little while ago?" The third student asks.

"That's impossible!" "Then that signal wasn't a bug?" "That would mean the number of players is off, right?"

Tsukikage is backed into the corner, and his opponent has been giving him animalistic roars. Tsukikage says, "So this is my limit... Even so!"

He takes out a stone knife, and after slashing something, his scream is heard by Yugo and the others.

"That voice!" Aki says.

"Tsukikage!" Yugo says. "Let's go!"

But it is too late, they see that Tsukikage is carded in front of them, but by who, they don't know.

"Someone skilled like Tsukikage was defeated? That's impossible!" Rin says in horror.

"I think there is another possibility." Mark says as he sees the mark on the three. "This is probably Tsukikage's last message."

"21? What does that mean?" Rin asks.

"There are 10 of us and 10 of them. Making 20 participants. I don't think they would fight each other while we're around." Mark says.

"If there are 21 participants, that makes sense." Aki says.

"It's not just us in the forest. Someone else is there. That's what Tsukikage wanted to tell us in his final moments." Ruka mutters.

"That means it's dangerous for us to be seperated. We need to find Sawatari, Crow, and Michael fast." Yugo says.

Sawatari is still on the run and he says, "Damn it! What's going on? Did anyone start Dueling? Where did Yugo and the others go?"

He hears the roar and asks, "Is someone there?" As he looks around, he notices a shadow and says, "What is it? Who are you? Stop it with the glowing eyes already! This Ultra Hyper Strong Duelist Sawatari Shingo wants to fight you! Stop hiding and show yourself!"

Just then, Crow and Michael hear Sawatari's scream and Michael says, "That's Sawatari's voice!"

"This way!" Crow says as he points in a direction.
