Mysterious Feeling
Ship: BoYa
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Boboiboy was boringly staring at the sky, he watched as the clouds slowly moved and a flock of birds fly above in the sky. He reaches out his hand upwards, as if attempting to take a hold of the sky. As he does so, a small pink feather lands exactly on his forehead, causing him to immediately sit properly. Before the small pink feather flew away, Boboiboy grabs it. He opens his hand, and begins to stare at this small pink feather.
"It's soft and gentle..." Boboiboy mutters to himself, as the feather gently swayed along the breeze.
He continues to stare at it, his mind was blank like an untouched piece of paper that was left on the solid and dirty ground, abandoned. For some reason, the small feather reminded him of a specific hijab girl. Her soft and drop-dead gorgeous smile flashes to his mind, while her gentle giggles rang continuously in his ears, as if it was a perfect melody that he could never forget. Boboiboy sighs, as he continues to fiddle with the small pink feather.
For the past few months, Boboiboy started to look at his friend differently. Not the bad differently, definitely not that. It was like, he was noticing every small detail about her; and boy oh boy! He noticed everything about her. From how her eyes sparkled when she talked to him, to how her face was so flawless no matter what expression she had, well... at least to him it was. Boboiboy didn't understand what he felt and why he felt that way, oh very much so, he was very confused with himself. He tried to figure this out by himself, and from what we can read; he -100%- did not figure it out. Desperate for answers, he went forward to his second option, ask the people around him.
As of you would've guessed, he first asked his wise grandfather about this and yet he only to got a chuckle as an answer. No matter how many times, whether it was 2 to 8 times a day, he asked his grandfather, the answer he would only recieve was either a hum or a chuckle. Giving up on his grandfather's 'precious' answer, Boboiboy then went to the second person he could ask, or rather people. Boboiboy had decided to call his parents, and which you could've guessed, that wasn't the best decision he had ever done. His parents weren't very helpful either, all they did was laugh at his obliviousness and told him that he would figure it out by himself soon. Boboiboy could only arch a brow at this, what did they mean by that? And that question went unanswered, for his parents had to leave now, both parents said that they had to go to finish their unfinished businesses. But before they ended the call, they told him something very strange and unrelated, well at least it was to him.
"Whoever took your heart must be a very fascinating lady..."
Boboiboy only responded with, "Took my heart? What does that even mean?"
Those questions too, went unanswered by his parents, for had hung up on him. Boboiboy couldn't help but feel very disappointed, due to the fact that he can never seem to solve his mysterious case. Finally, Boboiboy went to the last people he could ever ask, and that was his awesome friends, who he protects the galaxies alongside with. One beautiful day, they were all in Tok Aba's Kokotiam, chilling as they drank their hot chocolate. Gopal was just randomly gushing on the drink, as Fang gagged at him. The girls were peacefully talking with each other, the topic was unknown to the boys; but whatever it was, it made them giggle and blush a lot. It was a typical day for them not-so-normal teenagers, the sun was bright and their mood was very warm. Well... that was until Boboiboy finally brought up his for-so-long-not-answered question, that simple question, made the whole mood drop cold.
"Excuse me, but what?" Ying managed to ask the capped hero.
Boboiboy puffs his cheek in annoyance, as he repeated what he had said. "Like I said... for these past few months... I've been kinda feeling blank... all I could think of is-" He catches a glimpse of Yaya, who's expression seemed to be horrified. He nearly frowned at this,  if he had not fought the urge to, he didn't know why would she look so horrified of the news. "this girl..."
Suddenly a deafening scream or should I say screams were shot at his ears, which he was pretty sure, nearly made him deaf. Gopal and Ying were giddily looking at him, Boboiboy could've swore that he saw their eyes sparkling in joy and mischief.
"Wow! Boboiboy, you actually fell in love with someone! I knew this day would happen!" Ying exclaims, clasping her hands together.
"In Love?"
"Are you seriously that dense?! It's obvious that you're in love! So who's the lucky lady?"
The final question made him go blank, if he was really in love... wouldn't that mean he was in love with? No! No! No! He wouldn't tell them who it was, otherwise it would've been counted as a confession; and he was definitely not ready for her answer, which he expected it to be a huge "No". You see though he thought of her as a sweet and caring individual, no one, not even her, can ever make rejection taste sweet especially if the rejection was related to a love confession, it would always end up with the same taste... bitter.
Boboiboy swiftly stood up, his expression was panicked, but since he was used to the feeling of panic and fear, he was able to mask it very well. He usually used this during battles and challenges, just to be able to reassure his comrades. "Look guys, I think you misunderstood something! I cannot be in love with anybody!"
He didn't even notice the poor hijab girl flinching on his choice of words, her eyes looked watery, it was as if she sticked around any longer, she would burst out crying. Ying, being the one beside her, noticed this and got nervous real quick.
"Ooooh~! He's even denying it! Come on Boboiboy! It's not a bad thing to fall in love! It's natural for human beings~!" Gopal continues to tease the hero, which caused the boy to turn slightly red.
"Cut it off Gopal! You know perfectly well that I'm not in love with anyone! There's no absolute possibility!" He continued to deny the truth, or that what was Gopal was proclaiming.
Fang smirks at this, "There's no possibility huh?"
"Eesh! Not you too Fang!"
The two boy glance at each other, giving each other knowing smirks; from the look of their faces, Boboiboy already dreaded whatever they were planning to do. "Not even with Yaya~?"
Boboiboy slightly flinches at the mention of the girl's name, he wondered what made them think he was talking about Yaya, was he that obvious? He quickly shook his head, no, he wouldn't let them get to him; they were obviously just teasing him. They didn't know. She didn't know. Boboiboy looked at them, a complete facade of disinterest covered his panicked expression. He kept his cool; he wasn't going to reveal anything, especially when she was here. Boboiboy gave them a bored look, before staring at them blankly. This made the other two boys raise a brow at him, they were fully convinced that he did indeed love Yaya, so where they wrong? No, of course not, but they didn't know that.
"Are you kidding me? Why would I fall in love with Yaya? I will only see her as my best friend, and there's-"
A soft sniffle, that made him immediately stop, he didn't need to turn and see who made the sound, because he already knew who did. Boboiboy was shock to see her crying. No, he didn't expect her to suddenly cry, it's not like he said anything wrong, right? Her tears drip down to her cheeks, she looked at him with a hurt expression, he realized he absolutely hated that she looked at him like that.
Yaya wiped away her tears, but still, that did not put an end to her tears that flowed. "I-i need to g-go..."
"Wait! Yaya! I'm sorry!"
It was too late, Yaya had already flew away, leaving behind a trail of droplets of tears. Boboiboy groans at this, he didn't know what made her cry like that, was it something he said? No, he was sure that he didn't say anything offensive. Though his friends thought otherwise, they knew that Yaya was in love with the capped hero ever since they were 14, and at times, she made them pretty clear to him.  Boboiboy on the other hand, was an incredibly dense individual, he wouldn't notice the loving and adoring looks girls would give him, including the ones from his 'best friend'. Yes, despite all the signs she had given him, he still wasn't able to realize her feelings for him.
Boboiboy didn't know what he did, but one thing was for sure to him, he had to go after her, no, he needed to go after her; he would even chase her to the ends of the Earth if he had to. Though his friends gave him a look of do-not-chase-after-her, he, being the stubborn teenager he is, Boboiboy transforms into Boboiboy Cyclone, and chases after his precious friend.
"Aaaand the drama continues..." Gopal mutters, causing his other two friends to glare at him.
Ying sighs in confusion, "I don't get it... Boboiboy has been obviously looking at Yaya like a love-sick puppy!"
"Perhaps he was trying to hide it from her?"
"That doesn't explain why he said, 'I will only see her as my best friend'. It gives out a message that you're not interested!"
Fang shrugs, before giving Ying an unimpressed look. "Why do you care so much? It's not your love life..."
"Well it may not be mine, but it's my best friend's! So of course I care!"
He boringly looks at her, "You're pretty nosy, you know that?"
"Hmph!"
Meanwhile
Boboiboy wasn't having a very joyous time of his life, he was trying his best to catch up with Yaya, and it seemed like she picked up her speed when she saw him. It had been minutes, and yet, there was no progress between them.
"Yaya! Could you please talk to me?!" Boboiboy yells after her, as his eyebrows furrow in frustration.
Yaya glances at him, her expression then flashes to panic. In her eyes, tear drops were still present, and were in fact flowing; Boboiboy couldn't help but frown at this.
"Boboiboy, please don't follow me!" Yaya said in a shaky tone, before she turns away from him, and her speed gradually increasing.
"Yaya! I'm your friend! I'm worried about you! You just suddenly run off crying!" Boboiboy shouts, concern obviously laced on his voice. Yaya visibly flinches at the word "friend", and she turns to Boboiboy, biting her lower lip. "Yaya please!"
"I-"
Yaya cuts herself short, her tears suddenly bursted as she had come to a stop. Boboiboy, who had been chasing her, quicken his pace. Yaya tried to choke back the tears, she really did but they still wouldn't stop, they couldn't. She began to weep, her mind turning blank as she heard Boboiboy's wind getting closer. She had the urge to fly away, leave him to feel guilty; however, she shove the urge away.
She yearned for his warmth.
She wanted him to place his arms around her again, like he would always do when she felt vulnerable. She wanted to hear the comforting mutters he would whisper to her ears, whenever she would get too stressed. She wanted the moments when their gaze would lock with each other, and their hands reaching out for the other. She wanted him to lean over to her, telling her unintentional/intentional pick-up lines . She wanted him to tell her how he felt, just like he would always do when it was just the two of them. She wanted him... to be honest with her.
"Yaya, it's alright." Boboiboy wiped her tears, he leans closer to her and he whispers. "I'm here." His hands cupping her cheeks as he placed his forehead on hers, then he stares right at her watery eyes. "Tell me, what's wrong?"
Yaya only looks down, her eyes refusing to meet his gaze. Boboiboy was quick to note this, and he couldn't help but frown.
"Yaya..." His thumb rubbing against the edge of her lip, and to her, it felt like being teased.
She always hated how he would lean too close, too close for two friends. She hated how vulnerable she becomes when he touches her, even if it was just a single tap on her shoulder. She hated how much she would fantasize the feeling of his lips on hers, both of them sharing a passionate kiss.
"Yaya..." There he was again, using his alluring voice to control the beating of her heart. "Yaya, tell me... what's wrong?"
Yaya shook her head, "N-nothing's wrong."
He sighs, "If there was nothing wrong, then you shouldn't be crying." He looks at her, his expression serious yet worried. "Now, what's wrong?"
"It's nothing, I'm just a bit emotional today."
"Yaya."
"I really am!"
Boboiboy frowns, "Yaya, I'm your best friend. And, as your best friend, I can clearly see through your lies."
Yaya sighs vulnerably as she looks up to meet his soft gaze, and as they look into each other's eyes, Boboiboy's hand slowly reaches out to hers. He gingerly laces his fingers with Yaya's, it was as if he was waiting for her disapproval; which, however, did not seem to appear in Yaya's expression nor her body language. Instead, Yaya gently squeezes his hand, causing a flood of relief to wash over him. Though, Boboiboy noticed that Yaya's hands were shaking, he couldn't tell if she was hesitant or worried, but what would she be worried about?
"Boboiboy, t-there's something I've been meaning to tell you..." Yaya began to say, her voice quivering as Boboiboy tilts his head in confusion.
"What is it?"
"W-well... ever since I met you, I-i felt... different." Yaya stammers, her heart racing and her mouth conflicted on whether to keep going or to stop, perhaps it was because her mind was not prepared for his answer.
Boboiboy's lips slightly part, he was about to speak until Yaya cut him off.
"Ever since you came... my boring ordinary life became exhilarating and bright." Yaya leans closer to him, her eyes seemed to sparkle. "Every day was an adventure and... I like that."
She quietly chuckles as Boboiboy thought deeply, his eyebrows scrunching in confusion.
"Knowing you... You wouldn't be able to connect the dots quickly, so... I'll just tell you..." Yaya takes a deep breath and she looks at him, determination shining in her eyes. "But I'll only tell you once."
A few moments of silence came between them, then Boboiboy's lips curls into a smile, "Alright..."
"Okay..." She whispers as she steadied her beating heart, it was time. She had to tell him.
"Boboiboy... I love-"
