Beyond Believix

Their adventures didn't end there, though. Tony and the rest of the Winx soon received word that the Lilo, a supremely magical plant, would bloom on Earth for the first time in centuries at sunset. So Tony followed the Winx to Gardenia, Bloom's Earthly hometown, where they chased down the Lilo by following Flora's sense of it. They finally located it in the local mall in the care of Macy, the little sister of Bloom's rival Mitzi. Macy didn't know the plant was magical, but she wanted to make sure it got planted in a good spot in the Community Garden all the same. Even when the Trix came after it, Macy refused to give it to them and eventually the Lilo wound up planted in the ensuing struggle. The Lilo bloomed and the Trix attempted to absorb the magical energy from the blooming plant. The Winx knocked them away from the Lilo, but not before the Trix managed to absorb a great deal of it's magical energy. Macy became the official guardian of the Lilo and the Winx went to the Frutti Music Bar, while Tony returned home to New York.

Not long after that, the Winx were gathered in the Frutti Music Bar, where Aisha's cousin, the mermaid princess Tressa, was going to stream live video footage of the coronation of the next king of the oceans of Andros. However, after learning that Nereus was going to be crowned king, an assassin interrupted the proceedings. The most shocking part, however, was when the assassin's mask broke, and he was revealed to be Tritannus, twin brother of Nereus, who was jealous of the fact that their father Neptune had chosen Nereus over him. As punishment, Tritannus was sent to jail, where he met the Trix, who'd been imprisoned after the Lilo incident. Later that day an oil spill seeped through the gate between Andros and Earth and reached the prison where Tritannus was being held and seeped into his cell, mutating him into an ugly green monster. Tritannus then managed to summon his trident and blast himself and the Trix out of the jail. They then headed for the gate to Earth, where Tritannus managed to absorb the powers of its guardians and open the gate, allowing them to head to Earth. Once there, Tritannus began attempting to create more pollution after discovering that he reverted to normal form once all the oil pollution already there had dispersed. The Winx tried to confront him directly and discovered that their Believix powers weren't enough to combat the new threat. Also, after seeing the mark of a trident on his forehead, Aisha was shocked to realize that he was in fact her cousin! They knew they would need more powerful magic to combat him, so they decided to go to Alfea to seek Ms. Faragonda's advice.
