𝗡𝗔𝗥𝗖𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗔 𝗗𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗞𝗔 a baby, was found just outside the Shadow Fold, no one knew where she came from and she came in a half broken basket, a blanket around her and no name for her or a name for who her parents might have been. The only thing in the basket was a Narcissa flower, which is a symbol that means you're close to death, so the baby was called Narcissa. She was sent to an orphanage where she was adopted at the age of 7, unlike very unlucky few, she was adopted by the Devika's, a nice family.

Unknowing to her and her new family she was a shadow summoner, a shadow summoner that talks to the shadows. At night the young child would hear whispers in her ears, she was scarred but didn't want to wake her new parents, fearing if she'd bother them too much they would send her back to the orphanage.

When she was 10 she released she could control them, what they say, what they do, ect. After a while of hiding her abilities her adoptive mother caught her moving her shadow around, while in the sun, but the parents decided not to abandoned their child, but to hide her. Never having her leave the house, and constantly scolded Narcissa whenever she brought out or changed the shape of shadows, thats when they taught her about the 'Shadow Fold' practically scarring the child to not use her powers.

Over time the child released her parents were becoming scared of her, yet still kept her. When Narcissa turned 18 her parents couldn't force her to stay at home and she was finally able to leave. Until one day a wealthy man saw Narcissa controlling the shadows and had everybody looking for her, but no one caught her. Well one group got close but she was able to hind in the shadows fast enough before they could, after that she decided to keep her eyes on this special group and was able to track them down at this place called the 'Crow Club'.

𝗞𝗔𝗜 𝗩𝗔𝗡-𝗗𝗢𝗥𝗘𝗡 was born to wealthy family in the west of Ravka, the Pruit's, they got their money by stealing, gambling and winning by cheating, killing, etc. The family didn't try to hide how they got their money and awfully underestimated who they were stealing from, which got the family killed. His father, Silas Pruit, was a gambler it was no secret he cheated, anyone who wanted to gamble with him would be stupid, one day though while he was gambling but cheated on the wrong person the man who got scammed out of his money was a dangerous man.

That night the man and his gang broke into his house to murder Silas and thats what they did Kai's mother went to go hide herself and her sons, but only had enough time to hide her youngest. Her oldest son, Elion tried to protect his mother ended up being killed few minutes later the mother was killed, and the youngest a 10 year old Kai witnessed it all hiding starting right into his dead brothers eyes.

A few years later he's changed his last name and is running from the people who murdered his family. That's how he ended up in the 'Crow Club', he didn't what to end up like his dad so only played simple things like cards and having a few drinks. Over the years of running Kai gotten good at how to survive whether it's by manipulating, pick pocketing, framing, and ... but there was one thing he was specially good at was reading people, knowing their weakness, strengths just by talking for a few minutes. That's how he meet Jasper.
